Drove over to their old location to get a usual smog. And noticed the sign was gone. With a quick Google search he as able to find that they moved the plaza down the street. Apparently there was a fire at the location last year so they had to move. I'm glad they are still in business and not to far away. They are always quick and I'm usually in and out in around 15 minutes. Also check their website to see if they have any special promotions! They are the best in town!

One of my favorite smog places in Vallejo. Service is quick, customer service is excellence and you can't beat the price. Highly recommend. Just remember they are walk in only so you can always call ahead and ask how many cars are in the process of getting smogged. If you're just getting a smog for a title change no other paperwork is needed.

I went in for a smog check on my 135i bmw and come to find out the Cobb charge pipe had now California legal tags. They even tried to find some info online about the charge pipe. Was no luck. I was lucky to have the stock charge pipe so installed it all was good. They really do care about there customers. Thanks again read more

Called at 4:15 as I was scrambling to get a smog so I could register my truck by the end of the day. Lovely lady behind the counter said as long as I get there by 4:30 they could do it. I got there at 4:25 and was out in about 10 minutes with enough time to get to the DMV. They have a coupon. Be sure to use it. I forgot mine and mentioned it and they gave it to me anyway. Make sure you tell them or give the coupon BEFORE you sign the work paper. I saw one review on here that said the lady behind the counter was unpleasant. This is not the case and is most likely an isolated incident. She was very nice. I don't do many reviews but this place was EXCELLENT!! read more

Worst experience ever getting a smog!!! Didn't even have the courtesy to tell me that my truck would automatically fail due to the check engine being on!! Total disappointment. Then they had the audacity to tell me that the state wants them to do the check anyway! $61.00 out the window. Thought I was doing the right thing going to a local business. I will never go there again. I guess common courtesy and honesty are not on their priority list. So disappointed! read more

Friendly people, quick service! We were all done in 20 minutes. There was coffee, a soda machine & a big fish tank for your amusement while you wait. Would've been nice to have a water cooler or water in the soda machine. And wished we could've met the cat. :) Don't forget to mention Yelp for the discount. Great place, fast efficient - brought my son's '93 Subaru Impreza for smog cert - in and out in 15 minutes. I know a LOT about cars and engines. Always amusing when I'm treated like I'm stupid around car repair because I'm a 'girl'. Best customer service ever. The moment I pulled up I was greeted right away by what seemed to be the nicest guy in the world. They got the smog test done fast, i'd say 20 minutes tops and let me use a $25 off coupon. They even sent a thank you card in the mail. Best smog place I ever been too by far. read more

Best smog site I've been to ever. From the warm welcome to the free wireless internet... they are very accomodating. They have multiple smog inspection stations, so wait is minimal. Seating area is filled with photos, fresh coffee, reading material and yes, WiFi! Very trusting and there were very informative of what to do next with my DMV paperwork. Service at its best! It is always hard to find a good Smog place. Vallejo Smog is the best around. I have taken 2 cars there and the wait has been very minimal, the customer service has been great and the owner will sit with you if he finds any issues as to why your car did not pass smog. I would highly recommend him and I will go to no other place for my smogs!!!! read more

As the five star ratings keep adding up the service will never let you down. This is a great place to get your car smogged. I have a 1997 Honda Civic and it took just 15 minutes to get the smog complete. Richard was friendly and even stayed open 20 minutes after they closed to wait for my arrival. This is the only place worth considering if you need a smog test, period. The guys that run the shop are honorable men with a solid work ethic, and they truly have their customers best interest at heart. They are both quick, efficient, honest, and overall just really cool. Hands down the best smog shop in Vallejo. The Guys there are extremely friendly and helpful. Mike came right out when I pulled in, shook my hand and got started right away. Very fast service, I was in and out in 20 minutes tops. My car failed the first time for a minor timing problem, but the guys told me exactly how to fix it and even gave me a free retest. Went home, fixed the problem in about 5 minutes, and passed 10 minutes later. Mention that you heard about them on yelp and you get 30 bucks off and a free retest if you fail. I will definitely be going back. read more

Just got back from my smog test and I rarely place comments online but these guys deserve the notoriety! Mike greeted me right away as soon as i got out of the car with a smile, took my paperwork and coupon then showed me the waiting area. He informed me that there was 3 cars ahead of me but still got the job done in less than half an hour. These guys knows what they are doing, no BS great professional service, great with customers and get the job done right. If i ever need smog again, definitely going back to Vallejo Smog Test Only Center and be definitely recommending them. I am a one happy customer! read more

Great smog test place, and very knowledgable manager, Richard. I drive a smog-legal performance car but had problems getting the test done at some other places. Richard clearly has lots of experience because he was able to complete the test in a few minutes even with my unique set up. Also very friendly and caring service. Will definitely be back here in two years. The price is mid-range to slightly above average but I would gladly pay a few bucks extra for great service. highly recommended. read more

After having mostly miserable experiences at the smog shop just up the street from the DMV, it was time to find a new location. Checked yelp and Vallejo Smog came up hot. Took the car there, and even before I was out of my seat, a service writer came out to meet me, clipboard and pen in hand. Liking this shop already! History

Established in 2003.

I owned a successful six bay foreign car repair facility in Mill Valley from 1980-2000. Upon selling the business, I then traveled with my pooch all over the western United States and Canada. I got married afterwards, drove a school bus, and service wrote at different dealers. The opportunity arose to sell smog machines, which I did successfully, and I took the opportunity to open a smog inspection business in June of 2003. With the right team (Mike) we did very well. We had the opportunity to expand in June 2007, so we took the chance to move and expand. We now have a state of the art facility with handicap access and a beautiful rose garden in front.

The 2 stars says "Meh. I've experienced better." I am use to paying around $45-$65 for a smog. I have easy gauranteed pass smog type vehicles. So anyways im just dissapointed in the price. The people were nice enough, but the receipt is written so horribly i cant even read what i was suppose to have paid. It was $95 i guess for the smog, becasue after my $30 coupon it was $65, i was like "woah, okay" and paid it, but then looking at my receipt you cant even read what i paid. I kinda feel like the person going in at the end of a good day of business might actually get a better price. I feel like they price everyone differnt (coupon or not) they will just add $30 to what they want to charge you then deduct your coupon. I definately wont be going back. and when i was leaving there was another smog place literally across the street, i yelled out my window to the guy "how much for a smog" and he said "$39.99" ... and that was no coupon. Had to get my car smogged for DMV renewal and read some reviews on yelp. As soon as I called, Richard offered great customer service and telling me that if I didn't have toner in my printer he would still give me the $30 off.. Then when I pulled in to the parking lot, he was walking out to the car, greeting us and asking me about my personalized license plate. Great experience. My husband normally takes care of these things, but I was tasked with getting a smog test. To my surprise, it was actually a very simple task. Everyone was extremely helpful, courteous and professional. The whole process took about 15 minutes. I still had plenty of time to go to AAA and register my vehicle. Most painless auto shop experience ever!! Literally took less than 10min to get my car smogged. Walked in, no appointment, no problem. Jessica was super nice at the front desk, a nice guy (forgot to ask his name) grabbed my keys and car before I made it inside to get the process started. Almost too easy... Lol. I needed a smog check for my mom's old 1995 Volvo, and I was worried. I no longer live in Vallejo, so this was a shot in the dark when I found "Vallejo Smog Test Only Center" on the internet. They were fantastic, it was painless, the car passed and I had a nice comfortable place to sit and wait for the 30 minutes it took. This place is great. I had to get my car smogged this year for the first time since it's a newer car. The shop that I normally go to was closed today so I found this place on Yelp with the coupon. The staff are courteous, quick and knowledgeable. They never keep us waiting. We own three work vehicles and have been going there for years. They issue plenty of money saving coupons and honour them. Just got a renewal/smog check notice from DMV, there isn't even a question about who we're going to call! read more
