Do you remember in Spinal Tap where the amps go to 11? Well, that's how I'm reviewing Milt's garage. It only goes to 5 stars, but I wish it went to 6! My car repair was tricky, involving an out-of-production piece on my old car's estimate of repair. At Milt's they didn't blink, actually saying they might be able to fashion the correcting piece from other makes and models! How great is that? Once the mechanics at Milt's garage got into it, they realized the actual issues weren't what they initially thought, but a still available piece that was $100's less than their original estimate! My car came back faster than I anticipated, and for much less money than I approved. Now your car may not have the same issues, but if your looking for a shop that communicates clearly, explains the issues, is available to problem solve, and has the integrity to drop the price below the estimate because that all that happened, then take yer ride to Milt's. Caution!! Zero stars!!!Stay way from this shop and save yourself a headache. Despite the 5 star reviews, this shop is not trustworthy. I took my car to this shop based on their reviews to replace a serpentine belt and they quoted me $245 initially, I ended I paying $345 but the main issue is that they replaced the belts with the new ones and failed to remove the old one! When we took the car home there was about a feet of the old belt sticking out. We are lucky the old belt didn't get stuck in the engine. When I went back to the shop, they asked me to leave the car again and they had to remove the new belts to then remove the old one. This should have been done the first time. Technician was extremely careless. When I complained about the situation the technician tried to blame it on me instead of owning their mistake. The owner called me back and still made up excuses justifying their error and blaming it on me. This shop is expensive and they will not own their errors and will gaslight you. Milt's garage was fantastic from the moment we called on the phone to ask about the cost of getting a repair done. Jazz was wonderful to us on the phone, and you got the feeling that these guys were proud of what they do and they were genuine people, not a shop trying to scam you out of your hard-earned money. They were honest and straightforward in what they did to our car. We have a 2010 Honda CRV and the AC compressor needed to be replaced, which is a very expensive job. We knew it was going to be expensive, but we also wanted someone that we could totally trust so they didn't charge us another $1,000 more. I had a good feeling when we walked into the waiting room. Jazz greeted us right away, as well as the mechanics walking in and out; they all greeted everybody in the room, telling them hello. You just don't get that at normal places. We have never been here, and because of the wonderful reviews, we thought we'd definitely want to give them a shot. We do not regret using them to repair our car. When it all came down to the total $$$, Jazz was able to save us another $300 off the initial cost because he was able to source a slightly less expensive AC compressor for the car. They also follow up with you a week later to see if everything is okay; you get the feeling that this is run by some really good, honest people that don't want to rake you over the coals like some of the other shops. I would highly recommend giving them a call and talking to them if you're hesitant about it. You'll probably have the same experience I did. Low budget shysters. Took specialty car in for pre-purchase inspection. Cost more than $300. The results were They stated the obvious - nicks and scratches on body, transmission is making noise, and worse, included "tech that test drove says performance not as good as not as good as others he has driven and feels sluggish". 1) The transmission noise is a given when the failure prone, OEM clutch and flywheel are replaced with aftermarket equipment. 2) The body panel scrapes are obvious to anyone looking at the car. 3) The tech is no expert on this rare model vehicle. The performance is the same as any from that model year. Without any specific measurement, It's a qualitative statement from an unqualified person. 4) They charged based on a vehicle computer scan. And yet, they provided no details on what the scan might have or not have found. This is not a reliable, professional shop. Go elsewhere. read more

Went into Milt's because I failed my smog check down the street. Didn't think I would get the issue fixed since I was coming in midday. They did not have the part that I needed so he called Honda to see if the part was available and it was. I went and picked it up and they were able to change out my PCV hose free of charge. I am so glad for the referral because Milts has been nothing but easy and honest. They are very efficient with the phones, getting you in, and the check-in process is so fast. So we ended up having to get our engine replaced, and they were knowledgeable and extremely upfront about it all. It was pricey, of course, but labor isn't cheap. We have been going to them ever since. They send you an itemized invoice upfront, and provide you with a detailed invoice at check out.
