If you're on Yelp trying to decide on a smog shop, then give All Star Smog a chance! My experience with them (first time, first impression) was great. We needed a smog done on short notice--I did a quick Yelp inquiry, the shop owners/staff messaged back quickly, and the next morning we dropped in. Went in Saturday morning--the (covering) technician was courteous, friendly, and professional all around, and we didn't feel intimidated as maybe you would at other shops. The technician (we didn't catch his name) was also very transparent, as he advised us on searching how to properly "drive cycle" our vehicle in order to reset the monitors after the first smog attempt read: "monitors not ready" -- DRIVE CYCLE? Yes, we learned something new that day! We prepared our vehicle to sit overnight, then did the drive cycle early Sunday morning right before returning to All Star Smog for the retest. Same technician was there and helped us out right at 9am. He also gave us a friendly recommendation for additional DMV services that we needed to complete. We all know that car services can most of the time be dreadful, but I can say that this was my best ever smog experience, between CA and NV. Thank you, All Star Smog! read more

I dropped in on another local business at 9:30am. There was no parking and there were 8 people waiting. As I waited in line, I overheard the cashier tell the woman 2 people in front of me it was a 50-minute wait. I called All Star and they answered the phone right away. They said there was only a 15 minute wait and one car in front of me. I drove there immediately and by the time I got there they were ready for me. He started working on my car right away and by the time I completed paperwork, paid, grabbed some water and sat down - it was done! I was in and out in 15 minutes. There was tons of parking and they were really friendly. I have nothing but good things to say. It was the same price if not cheaper, and in the 5 minutes it took to drive there from the other place, it saved me an hour of waiting in a crowded room. Maybe I just got lucky, but the win felt good. They moved from Redwood St to behind the Vallejo Courthouse, if you're looking for it there are a lot of signs directing you to their garage. read more

If you want a reasonable priced smog you should check out All Star Smog. I went there today. The service was great! Owned by a family and run by women. Basically in and out in like 20 minutes. They have a discount coupon right now. Very friendly! Located near the Courthouse. I highly recommend this business! Phone number 707) 731-9954 read more

I went here today for a Star smog check for my older truck. The staff is so friendly, the front office, the smog check guy, and even the owner Cheryl came over to say hi. It's a local family owned business so please support our Vallejo peeps! Their old business on Redwood burned down, so support them at their new location. I found a discount coupon online so saved $30 read more

Best price in the area by far! The staff was friendly and made the process seamless - this was the fastest smog Ive ever had to do.

My car needed a smog check, so I looked online and they were one of the first places to respond. I decided to go there and had a really good experience. The staff was really nice, helpful, and made the whole process easy. They took my car in right away, completed the smog check smoothly, and I was in and out pretty fast. I paid and left with no issues. The whole process only took about 10-15 minutes. I would definitely recommend them if you need a quick and easy smog check. read more

Highly recommend them. After over 15 years I've always been satisfied with Tony and Peter's professionalism.

Was never able to get smog done here, each visit I was told there was a new issue with my car and ended up going to a smog shop I was comfortable with in the end. Staff were nice though Edit: To be clear this was in fact at the Vallejo location on Virginia street read more

Called in to check availability and pricing and was hit with excellent customer service from the get go and even through messaging correspondence. Went in during my lunch break, and no joke was in and out in 15 minutes! Extra kudos cause it's female ran and operated! Don't forget to ask if they have pricing specials. I kinda want to gatekeep but also want this business to thrive, so will def be sharing their info with fam and friends! read more

Quick and easy set up. I went with All star prior to them moving to this new location. When it came time to do a smog check again this year, I searched for them on YELP and was offered a reasonable quote. Friendly staff and was done in just a few minutes. Easy to find with signage near the Vallejo court house. I would definitely recommend them and wish them luck in this new location. read more

Very smooth and personable service. I got an instant response and a competitive quote. Very quick turnover at the shop and genuinely pleasant professional staff. read more

All Star Smog was efficient and quick with my smog check. I called ahead of time asking about an appointment, but they only do first come first serve. The person on the phone was really accommodating and suggested a couple time slots when they usually aren't busy and also gave me a discount for phoning in. I went on a weekday about 15min after they opened and it looked like I was the 2nd in line. They were faster than what their quoted time was and the shop was clean and maintained. Everyone working was super nice--they even thanked me for mentioning the phone-in discount before they rang me up. No hidden fees. This place is a friendly and great place to take care of that annoying smog check requirement! read more

When requesting for quotes for smog check, All Star Smog was on it. They offered me a really good deal compared to other smog stations in Vallejo. The good thing too is that they are a certified Star station which DMV requires when renewing registration. When coming in, I was lucky and didn't have a line to wait. The team was fast. I was in and out within 15 minutes. Definitely reach out to this place if you are needing a smog check and get really good value compared to the other smog stations in Vallejo. read more

It's my first time going to this smog place because they had a promotion on instagram, but my complaint is I was supposed to be next but the person after me got service first because they know him. It's should be a fist come first served not because you know the person. That's not good for business, I won't come back to this place I'll go back to my business I been going to. read more

I highly recommend this place for a smog test. Clean facility and very good customer assistant from the staff. They even checked my tire pressure. read more

08/18/25- As I gather quotes from smog centers locally, I was amazed on how this smog runs their business. Despite of being temporarily closed, the owner still replied that they are temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances! Wow! That's amazing that she took the time to let me know that they are not in operation at this time! No wonder, they are truly an All Star or should I All 5 Stars?! Thank you and I truly appreciate it, for reaching out and hope to do business with you when you reopen back! Wishing you the best and more customers, as you have earned one today. Everything starts at 1 and it grows for as long as the service, quality and pricing is superb! Will update when my smog comes in (they should be open by then if it's expected to reopen Dec2025) when my next smog comes in. Thank you! Will recommend to my friends and families! read more

This is my third time going to them. I recently moved away (about 30 minutes away.) Got there around noon and there was a big RV that was being run. They told me the wait will be about 20 minutes. Told me to wait in the office because there would be lots of fumes coming from the RV. I said I'll wait. They got to me in 15 minutes. They ran my smog quickly and I was out of there in another 15-20 minutes. Both the people who work/run it were very friendly and professional. They honored my Yelp discount but said I should mention it first, when I arrived. Thank you! You have a customer for life. read more

My smog was due this week and this location was open on a Sunday! I got a quote thru Yelp that was reasonable and they responded fast! Service was very polite and I enjoyed the fact that a female was running the show. I did have to wait about a half hour or so but given it was Sunday and first come first served, I can't be mad at that. Also cash is preferred (but they will also take credit) y hablan español también! read more
