If you're on Yelp trying to decide on a smog shop, then give All Star Smog a chance! My experience…read morewith them (first time, first impression) was great. We needed a smog done on short notice--I did a quick Yelp inquiry, the shop owners/staff messaged back quickly, and the next morning we dropped in. Went in Saturday morning--the (covering) technician was courteous, friendly, and professional all around, and we didn't feel intimidated as maybe you would at other shops. The technician (we didn't catch his name) was also very transparent, as he advised us on searching how to properly "drive cycle" our vehicle in order to reset the monitors after the first smog attempt read: "monitors not ready" -- DRIVE CYCLE? Yes, we learned something new that day! We prepared our vehicle to sit overnight, then did the drive cycle early Sunday morning right before returning to All Star Smog for the retest. Same technician was there and helped us out right at 9am. He also gave us a friendly recommendation for additional DMV services that we needed to complete. We all know that car services can most of the time be dreadful, but I can say that this was my best ever smog experience, between CA and NV. Thank you, All Star Smog!

They suggested that I pay the full price which was still reasonable so that I could come back within 30 days and be retested for free. I decided to do that. However when I took it back I hadn't done something that I needed to do, as far as changing a hose. So they told me I needed to come back again after fixing it. So once I did that I brought it back again and they tested to see if you ready and it wasn't. So I had to drive it around a little more. By the time I finally took it back again it was past the month point by about a week. They checked the codes and this time it was ready, and they showed me something else that I should probably get fixed on the car so it runs better (which I appreciate cause I had no idea why the car would sometimes misfire) they did not charge me for the retest. Friendly staff and good pricing. This is my new go to a smog place!!

As…read moreI'm new to the area of Cordelia and right in the middle of either going to Fairfield or Vallejo as they're about the same distance, I sent out a quick project request for a smog check, to business to see what the costs are. SG smog check center got back to me pretty quickly and offered me a great deal that I could not refuse. I stopped by today and followed instructions and and showed the message to the front desk representative regarding the price. She unfortunately stated that they no longer do that price so I'll have to pay an additional $10. At that point I felt a little unhappy, but I'm already there so I need the service done. To my surprise when my car was finished with its smog, happy it passed, they honored and gave me the price that was quoted in the message. The facility itself is pretty quick. There were a few people in front of me, but it felt like I was in and out in less than 30 minutes from start to finish . I'll definitely use them again because the pricing was great and the efficiency and quickness of the people that work there are awesome. They are also STAR certified! I needed to get replacement tags because I lost mine, and a lot of other registration services in Vallejo were either closed or couldn't help me out plus, DYG was open on a Monday, which was a huge plus. Even though the door looked locked when I first walked up, the owner immediately came to the door, let me in, and escorted me right to her desk. I handed over my documents and information, and I was literally in and out in about 7 minutes total. On top of the incredible, fast service, their pricing was actually lower than another registration service I checked out in Vallejo. If you need quick registration help without the typical DMV nightmare or overpriced fees, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Mrs. B's today to take care of a long-overdue vehicle…read moreregistration, and I can honestly say it was one of the smoothest and most pleasant customer service experiences I've had in a long time. Before heading in, I called to get some information and was lucky enough to speak with the owner, Felicia. Despite clearly being busy, she was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. She didn't rush through the conversation at all--instead, she took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and with genuine care. From that initial phone call alone, I already had a good feeling about the place. When I arrived, Felicia greeted me warmly and immediately put me at ease. What I had expected to be a stressful ordeal was handled with such professionalism and efficiency that I left wondering why I hadn't come to Mrs. B's sooner. She took care of everything quickly, clearly explained what was being done, and never once made me feel like just another customer. Her attention to detail and personable nature made the entire process feel effortless. Felicia is truly a gem. It's rare these days to come across someone who not only understands what real customer service looks like but also lives and breathes it in how she runs her business. You can tell she genuinely cares about the people she helps and takes pride in making their experience a positive one. Businesses like Mrs. B's are what give a town character--they're the kind of places you want to support and tell others about. Livermore is lucky to have this kind of service available, and I'll be handling all of my vehicle registrations here moving forward. If you're reading this and considering where to go for DMV services--stop searching. Do yourself a favor and go visit Mrs. B's. You won't regret it. Thank you again, Felicia, for making a frustrating situation not only manageable but actually enjoyable. Keep doing what you're doing--you've absolutely earned a loyal customer.
