I've taken all my vehicles here for many years for smog, always been consistently very nice, helpful :))

Took my SMOG appointment and was ready for me on time. Operator went out of his way to show me a bad hose in my engine bay. My time and my equipment were respected and I would definitely return for another SMOG check in the future. Pricing was competitive and I was done in a out 30 min, including the extra hose issue he showed me. read more

This is a family business, father and son. His price is fair and the service is quick. Nice outdoor seating. Not the greatest area, but I've never had an issue and neither has.my wife. There sometimes is a taco truck there too. read more

It's my first time to get smog at A1. The guy is so accommodating and he did it fast.

Fast Efficient and Friendly what more could you want in a smog check : ). I called ahead and was able to just drive on over. As I was pulling in, someone else pulled in just before me, but because I called he actually took me first. He gave me the paperwork and the price and true to his word, he was done in 15 minutes. There is seating nothing glamorous, and also a taco truck so if you're hungry, there's food right there in the parking lot. All and all very, very simple and easy. read more

I used this shop over the past 10 years and I'm always satisfied with their quickness and mannerism. The price isn't too bad either.

Had a smog test done here. Highly recommended. Excellent communication and prompt service. Will go here from now on for all of my smog tests. Thank you again! read more

Amazing service! Was greeted very professionally and quickly acknowledged right when I pulled up. Handed over the keys and made my way over to the taco truck in the same parking lot. Took about 12-15 mins to complete the smog. Price was really great at $70!! Will be returning again! read more

Loyalty matters. My SO comes here every time for smog checks. They're not the cheapest quote around, but the friendly staff makes it worth it!, Plus, who wouldn't support a shop that knows how to clap back with humor at a drunken review? That kind of personality makes them stand out. read more

First time getting a smog, great and quick experience! Inquired through yelp, quick reply and got it done and sent info to dmv. I wish I did this sooner really smooth Definitely recommend!!! read more

Requested a smog check last night via yelp. Said was very prompt at returning my email with a reasonable price quote that was honored when I got over there today. Fast service, courteous, and fair. I will bring my car back to A-1 smog again when it's time for its next smog check. read more

The Vallejo smog station at 2707 Sonoma Blvd will try every trick in the book not to honor or even recognize their own coupon even when you show it to them. I would rather go to another smog station and pay a few dollars more rather then deal with the crooks there. read more

We were a party of 4 women. We ordered a lot. Everything was extremely bland and unremarkable. We had all been there before but not for some time. We had apps, pasta and pizzas. It all sucked. The only thing we all liked was the bottle of overpriced wine. Delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful. But you can't eat it. read more

Still the only place I want to go to for smog in Vallejo! I think this was my fourth time coming here and I had great service as usual. There were two cars ahead of me, but I was still in and out within half an hour. The man working kept me updated along the way so I was never left wondering about the status or wait. Great smog check service and don't forget to check their website for coupons! read more

Brought in my 84' BMW for Smog. Staff is kind and respectable. Will continue to bring vehicles to A1 Smog

My dad (older gentleman) Came in to get a smog and he failed it for aftermarket cat not having the correct carb number said it was "tampered" but the reality is this tech here didn't do his job properly by inspecting the car properly. After failing here I was advised to take to Vallejo smog dog in Vallejo and the technician found the numbers on the side of the cat converter verified that that number was good is in compliance with the year make model and engine family and it passed. The tech at Vallejo smog dog saved us money by doing a through inspection and going above and beyond before failing my car and making me buy a new cat (which I already did but decided to try a more honest smog shop before welding it in.) Now filing a complaint against him to get my money back with the bureau of automotive repair read more

I came in to get my smog done because I thought it was up for renewal. I gave him my paperwork and he told me that I read my paperwork wrong and didn't need to get one at this time. He could have easily taken my money by doing an unnecessary smog test on my vehicle. But instead, he was an incredibly honest man who now has a lifelong customer. Thank you! read more

Great experience from start to finish. Nobody likes getting the "Smog Required" note from the DMV, but A1 made it pretty painless. I made an appointment, and they were ready to go when I arrived. A few minutes later, I had my certificate and was on my way. They took the time to answer my questions and made sure I was comfortable with the testing process. Will definitely be back the next time I need a smog certificate. read more

Been going here for years and still give 5 stars. I needed a STAR certified smog so I called for the soonest appointment which was "whenever works". Showed up 20 mins after the call and then smog check took about 20 mins. I wrote this review while sitting in the waiting area. read more

Always quick, friendly and offers the best price possible. 5 stars The only smog shop I use in Vallejo.

Just want to say the gentleman working here named Sergio is one of the most professional people I have honestly ever come across in a customer service profession. He is very efficient and has excellent people skills. I believe in giving credit where credit is due and he was as good as it gets. You could throw this guy in any career involving people skills and communication and he would excel. I will 100% be coming back here next time I need my car smogged and I hope you see this Sergio you are the man!! read more

A1 just earned themselves another customer. An excellent location with plenty of parking and shade (very rare in the smog industry here in Vallejo). Excellent customer service. The owner is a top notch guy. Very friendly, straight-shooter, honest businessman. No "mickey mouse" smog here. He's been in the business over 20 years, and he knows what he's doing. Highly recommended. Prices are very competitive. Pro-Tips: Get the coupon online. Also bring cash and you'll save another $2.00. Good job A1! read more
