Asked for pricing online and was quoted $48 special. However my backup car that doesn't get driven very much is very old didn't pass. They suggested that I pay the full price which was still reasonable so that I could come back within 30 days and be retested for free. I decided to do that. However when I took it back I hadn't done something that I needed to do, as far as changing a hose. So they told me I needed to come back again after fixing it. So once I did that I brought it back again and they tested to see if you ready and it wasn't. So I had to drive it around a little more. By the time I finally took it back again it was past the month point by about a week. They checked the codes and this time it was ready, and they showed me something else that I should probably get fixed on the car so it runs better (which I appreciate cause I had no idea why the car would sometimes misfire) they did not charge me for the retest. Friendly staff and good pricing. This is my new go to a smog place!! read more

I DID NOT LEAVE A 5 STAR Review!!!! They copy and paste! As I'm new to the area of Cordelia and right in the middle of either going to Fairfield or Vallejo as they're about the same distance, I sent out a quick project request for a smog check, to business to see what the costs are. SG smog check center got back to me pretty quickly and offered me a great deal that I could not refuse. I stopped by today and followed instructions and and showed the message to the front desk representative regarding the price. She unfortunately stated that they no longer do that price so I'll have to pay an additional $10. At that point I felt a little unhappy, but I'm already there so I need the service done. To my surprise when my car was finished with its smog, happy it passed, they honored and gave me the price that was quoted in the message. The facility itself is pretty quick. There were a few people in front of me, but it felt like I was in and out in less than 30 minutes from start to finish . I'll definitely use them again because the pricing was great and the efficiency and quickness of the people that work there are awesome. They are also STAR certified! Needed a smog for my vehicle renewal. Only problem, the "music" was not meant to be played during business hours. Not customer friendly.

Came in on a Sunday morning right when they opened at 9:00 AM and was able to get in immediately -- no wait at all. I did have to mention that I was using a Yelp coupon, but once I did, it was applied without any issues and helped significantly with the price. The smog check itself took about 20 minutes. Everything was efficient and smooth, and the staff was helpful and professional throughout the process. I got my paperwork quickly and was on my way in no time. Overall, a quick and easy smog check experience. Would definitely come back again. read more

They were fast and efficient. They have a great coupon that simply popped up when I looked at their yelp profile. They are conveniently located off of Sonoma Blvd and easy to find since they're next to a used car sales place. Thank you! read more

Excellent I recommend this smog check center! It's really affordable, I would come back again!

Do not go there they literally cut a slit on my air hose to make me feel small so I could go back and pay them twice. They don't do free retest and they're the cheapest out there. That's why they make it so that you have to go back scammers. read more

Out of all smog shops I had to go to within the last 4 years this shop is a hidden gem. The front staff was incredibly nice which is rare because all the different ones I went to in Richmond were usually rude or just seemed like they wanted me out of the shop asap. However the lady at the front was so nice and trust me when I say THEY CARE ABOUT YOUR WALLET TOO unlike most shops, before I mentioned the yelp exclusive she was already going to give me a $30 off coupon they're offering right now. Kinda sucks that I did have to cross toll to come here, but it was worth it and I will be crossing toll again next year when it's time to renew my smog! read more

I always have a top notch experience getting my smog completed here! Friendly staff, and clean waiting room.

They were nice and quick to smog my vehicle but price was 90$ thankfully they had a yelp special that made my total to 48$!

https://www.sgsmogvallejo.com/ Here is the url for the coupon. Or check in on Yelp for the coupon You will need it. The fee is 89.75 without the coupon and 68.75 with the coupon. Other than the price things seem unchanged. I was the only one there, clean waiting room. Quick, professional service. read more

Came here with my husband to smog our older truck, we were quoted a lower price over the phone and the price went up once we showed up in person. Decided to go through anyway rather than look for another shop, and they said it would be done in a hour and a half. An hour later they called and said they couldn't smog it because of a tail pipe issue we had confirmed first would not be an issue, came back to find our truck almost on the street with the windows down, unlocked, registration on the seat visibly, with our stereo faceplate detached, parked right next to the sidewalk instead of close to the business. So we took it to Smog Dog instead on Sonoma Blvd where we got a better price, and were in and out in less than half an hour, and they didn't leave our car unattended where it could have been stolen with all the paperwork. Boo. read more

This is my go to smog station. They're quick, professional and efficient. They also offer DMV services which is convenient.

My wife used to get her smogs done, at A-1 Smog, in Vallejo, on Sonoma Blvd, next to McDonalds. Today she attempted to complete a smog, but discovered that it was under new ownership. A mother and son team were running it for years, but the owners raised the rent so much they had to leave. The new owners never said hello or greeted her. She walked in, sat in the waiting area, but no one ever made verbal contact with her. My wife asked me to stop by the location. When I pulled up, I saw a male sneering at me from the garage area and my wife walking out of the entry way. I immediately told her, let's go. At that point, the so called receptionist appeared concerned because she watched as my wife got in the car and departed. Still no hello, is everything okay, can we help you, nothing. I scrolled through my phone and found SG Smog Center on Couch St. I asked if there any appointments today for Smogs. He said; yes. We arrived, filled out the form, waited in my truck and 30 minutes later we were out the door. Professional, pleasant, expedient and convenient. Right across from the DMV. Mind you, there were two people ahead of us and SG still got us out in a timely fashion. Kudos to you SG. You are now out new Smog shop. We will also be referring others to you. read more

Reasonably priced but they should fix up their waiting room. It's really dirty and feel like the furniture is from 1980!

In short: quick, great value, respectful My Honda Accord 2014 was due for a smog check. I went in Monday At around 1000 with 2 customers ahead of me. I was out pretty quickly, maybe 30 minutes tops. My accord failed smog due to a torn air intake hose which they recommended to switch and come back within 30 days. I replaced it myself and came back a couple days later. Thorough smog check completed again and I passed. I used the check in code and saved $30! The Smog check was $59.75 and the certificate was $8.25. This place isn't connected to a mechanics garage, they only complete smog checks. Star rated, legit. I'm definitely coming back here. read more

Amazing. The employees were so nice and answered all my questions. I sent in for a Yelp quote before I went in, but I didn't get a response until after they quoted me the regular price. But as soon as I got the quote on Yelp, which has a discount, I told them about it, and they were able to switch the price for me. Very flexible and knowledgeable. 100% recommended. read more
