This was fast and easy. Took me 15mins. No wait and no appointment. The gentleman was really professional and easy to talk to. Price was very fair. This is my second time here. Now my go to! read more

Super friendly and fast service! I came by Smog King on a Friday morning. The two gentlemen came out and one said they would pull my car up to the stall. One of them walked me to the main office and waiting area. I paid for the smog service in less than 3 mins. I was asked to wait in the waiting area until the Smog was finished. The waiting area is very cute with all the decor and model cars. There is also a restroom available in the waiting area. The entire process took less than 20 minutes. Thank you SMOG King for the fast and wonderful service. I highly recommend Smog King for anyone in Fairfield or the surrounding area. read more

We needed a Star Certified Smog on our 2003 SUV. There was no wait at about 10:15 this morning and we didn't need an appointment. The staff was fabulous! They noticed that we had a bad hose before the test. They replaced it with a part they had laying around, ran the smog test and we passed with flying colors! No way would it have passed with that bad hose. They saved us a bunch of money. We actually had a coupon but didn't end up using it because they replaced that hose for us. This was our third time visiting Smog King and we will absolutely be back for our next registration renewal smog test. And now we can drive around town without looking for lights in our rear view mirror!! Thank you, Smog King! read more

Great smog shop and they open on Sundays. The staff members were very friendly, I will definitely be coming back.

My wife recently went here for the dreaded CA smog certificate. Her baby is a 1992 4Runner she'll never part with. So as the years go by the stress of passing grows exponentially... luckily Sal assured her that the "ole runner " still had some miles left in him. His kindness and professionalism was a pleasant experience . I hope the community keeps Sal and the crew of Smog King busy for many years to come. Definitely a 5 star business ***** Appreciate what you do for community! 35 + years resident. read more

Would highly recommend them! I've been coming here for 5 years and they never disappoint.

I've been using these guys for a while now and they never disappoint me. A plus service, business and customer service is on Point. They are fast.even if there people ahead of you they are aware and get the job done. It's $72 for your certificate and if it fails I think they said $65. They are STAR certified. I needed Star this time around. So I was Happy they were. Both guys very personable. Daniel is sweet and makes you feel at ease. They have a waiting area and you can check out the owners collection of hot wheels etc .while you wait. Or take a 2 min walk to Starbucks and grab a coffee. read more

Fast and efficient. Went here on a Sunday afternoon and they were able to get me in right away. Price is fair, even better with the coupon but make sure you follow the instructions in their website and print out the coupon. I was in and out quickly. Would recommend them and will be using them again next time my car needs a smog check. read more

This guy was very busy but because he is not expensive and he is honest. I came to get my smog test and he just told me to come tomorrow ( the following day) because he was very busy but he was very nice about it. He was honest and told me what would happen if my truck didn't pass and I really appreciate that. read more

Younger guy wasn't very professional, older gentlemen was but told me to go elsewhere cause my car has California legal parts on it and he would not smog my car. Took it elsewhere and it passed! Now they have messaged me telling me I had missing parts and I would have failed and they did me a favor by not testing me. My passed smog certificate from up the street says otherwise. Only thing missing is the younger guys customer service ability's read more

The Smog King - Messages from the owner versus his public comment. Disgraceful at worst, telling at best. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Fairfield, California

I have been going to this spot to get an easy and fast smog check for years. I never had to print out a coupon for the smog test deal before, but when I asked about it being applied today from my phone I was denied the deal. Paid $70 but I could have paid only $50. I'll try some other place next time since I feel like other places are cheaper down the street. Update: The total I paid out the door was $60 (coupon and credit card fee applied) AFTER the owner saw I wrote a review at the time I was waiting for the service to be done. I was quoted to pay $70 in total (certificate and credit card fee applied) before the services were done. So I guess the pettiness was not worth the $10 discount since the owner did not want to give it in the first place. I am writing this update at the time of arrival to my home. I did go online to try and "print" the coupon. For any future customers, if you would like to "print" the coupon, you must use the snippet tool on your desktop since there is not direct link to a PDF of the coupon. In my opinion, this makes it difficult for customers to present a coupon and would just give up on attempting to print. read more

Been going to this place for over 10 years. Was pretty happy with it until today. Bad customer service was the deal today. Smog had an issue and wouldn't finish and instead of charging full price of $90 he said he would cut me a break and only charge me $70. How about no charge since it was never completed...... Then said to bring it back next week and only charge me $50 for it. That's $120 for a $90 item. Not my fault the machine didn't work properly. Then I complained to the second guy and he didn't seem to give a damn. You just lost a long time customer over a measly ass $70. Educate yourselves about business and realize keeping customers happy is worth a lot more than getting over on them just once. read more

Great guys. They were quick and nice and affordable for a smog check. I only had to wait for about 15 minutes

Super kind technician! We are all about good customer service. Sam was consistently joyful and positive in spirit. I say consistently because our vehicle failed the smog test so we had to return the next day for retesting after putting a part in, Sam's cheerful disposition and refreshing perspective on life made the unexpected return trip painless. The guys there are fast and efficient. We recommend this business based on the people providing the service. read more

The service at the Smog King was quick & courteous. This is my 2nd time bringing my car to them. The young attendant greeted me with a friendly smile. Which put me at ease & reassured me I was in the right place for great customer service & car service. The older gentleman, with the short silver hair cut was different. He didn't look in my direction or say good morning! He didn't acknowledge my presence. If he would have met me I think I would have left & went to the place up the street. I don't pay money just because I need a service! Customer service is important! A smile & acknowledgment goes a long way. I recommend The Smog King for your car service! Hopefully you get Daniel! read more

I went at 5:30 for a last minute Smog and was done 10 or so minutes later. Customer service was wonderful and their 49er fans love it.

Every two years when I need a smog I come to this location. They take walk ins and depending on the day they usually aren't too busy. Im usually in and out within 35-45 minutes. They have a small waiting area in the office where you can wait for your car to be done. Customer service is always friendly. Thru usually have a discount off services. read more

From the moment I pulled up everybody here was super nice. The shop is totally efficient. They get you in and get you out quick. Even if there's a line of people. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

I can't explain how easy Smog king made getting my smog done. when I pulled up they immediately attended to me and quickly got started on my car! they were so quick and speedy. I arrived at 10 AM and I was out of there by 10:19. It was $70 for my smog, which I found really reasonable. The men working there were so kind, attentive and professional. I will definitely be coming back in two years to get my smog redone by them. Every time I have to get my smog done I dread it because it always such a headache, but the smog king made it so easy and breezy. I appreciate y'all serving our community. God bless! I previously left a review about a situation that happened and I was over charged. I do want to say that smog king made the situation right! And I really appreciate that from the business owner and will definitely continue taking my cars here for a smog! The staff on this place made a mistake and left their scope tool on my windshield and they closed it and cracked my windshield with a small crack I am 100% sure I drove the car prior to the inspection and the windshield was not cracked Staff was very difficult to deal with and threatened me on calling the police. Not Even a fix for the crack or a refund or the service. I believe the place does good the inspections but terrible way to fix a issue with a customer. I called I wanted their proof on the cameras that was not their mistake but they never cared to show me or fix the front windshield they broke read more

These guys are amazing, 15 minutes exactly to pass the smog test. Nice people very friendly and professional.

Guys don't know anything about customer service, or how to properly smog a vehicle. Failed a vehicle over California LEGAL parts. They WILL NOT admit when they are WRONG. Took vehicle to another shop, no issues at all. Other shop said they have been hearing negative reviews about this place and tell their customers to stay away, hilarious. Their customers say these guys are "idiots". No refund either for not knowing what they're doing. Tip: You guys need to learn how to read the CARB issued EO numbers and stop stealing people's money. read more

Danger Danger Danger ! This is the most unprofessional, inept, and downright incompetent run business that I have ever witnessed in all my days alive. There are two kind gentlemen there that manage the operation and they can't even see straight! They say that they see smoke, when there absolutely unequivocally is not. They fail your vehicle and admit that there really isn't much smoke, when in fact the is absolutely no smoke/smog. Then they have the gall to charge you $50 for failure and absolutely no service. They are pretenders and I throughly recommend that you stay away from Smog King on North Texas in Fairfield, CA they are bad businessmen. read more
