I'm stumbled across this company, thanks to Yelp! I need a place where I could quickly get a Smog check and get back to the DMV to pay for my tags and get to work. When I say that's exactly what happened when I visited American Smog, I couldn't be more thankful. They are located less than 5 mins away. The crazy thing is, I didn't even realize there is a smog place in the same parking lot as the DMV but this one came up first and had amazing reviews. Thank You! read more

I was sad when I found out my usual smog place Cordelia smog went out of business so I was scrambling to find a place to smog my car on my only day off before my registration expired (pregnancy brain made me totally forget I needed to renew my registration this month). I went to a few other places that were closed before I stumbled upon this place and now my family and I have found a new smog place! I was in and out in like 10 mins and service was friendly! I'd definitely recommend coming here read more

Always friendly, courteous, and professional. My wife had tried to do me a favor and take my truck in for a smog test to someone else. They ran the test, and then failed the vehicle because of an after market exhaust system. I had the stickers, but had not put them on, returned to that other smog place, and they required an additional fee to re-run the test. No... When I took the truck to American Smog, he indicated that he would have noticed that right up front and not even performed the test without the stickers, as he would be required to fail the vehicle. As such, I feel I can trust the American Smog team to provide the service for my vehicles, honestly and consistently. read more

Honestly, I know how frustrating toss process can sometimes be, rivaled only by going to the dentist or DMV. All American Smog is definitely different! The staff is friendly and polite. The waiting area is clean and inviting. Most important, the service is done quickly and professionally. If I could give them more stars, I would. read more

Excellent service, amazing attitude and extremely knowledgeable- Neil is a class act! Highly recommended!

Happy with their prompt service, friendly staff, & clean waiting area. Highly recommended.

This is the ONLY place I will go to have my vehicle smog tested. My mechanic recommended this location to me years ago and I always come back. The customer service has always been amazing and I love that they automatically send the certification to DMV for me. The price has always been fair, the waiting room is always clean and again, the superb customer service always brings me back. I made the mistake of going someplace else a few years ago and regretted it as the owner was so dishonest. Needless to say I went back to American Smog and will continue to give them my business as long as I remain in California. read more

What a pleasure to get my car smogged here! I know what you're thinking, getting your car smogged isn't a very enjoyable experience, this guys lying, but Neil with American Smog did in-fact make the smog experience easy. Neil is very thorough in his process and explains what to expect. His business runs on honesty and integrity and it is something that I can appreciate, especially with so many bait and switch smog stations out there. His price is affordable and there are no gimmicks, or additional fees for smog graduation fee or whatever nonsense other places may charge. I will visit American Smog for every car I own and would highly recommend to all my friends and family. Thank you American Smog! read more

Just got done with my third smog at this business, I have been coming here since 2015. Neil and his crew just keeps making it hard to give my money to another smog shop! Cleanest office I have ever seen at a car shop, TOP NOTCH customer service, quick service, and most of all -- an honest and transparent experience. Which as most of us know is hard to come across when it comes to auto maintenance/repair. As long as I'm local, this is the smog shop I will be going to every time! read more

Neil is professional, courteous, efficient, clean, knowledgable and honest. DMV had my smog on file that same day. The office was spotless, the parking lot was well maintained and easy to use.
