I called ahead, and while they allow walk-ins, an appt was recommended. I was able to secure one for later in the morning. I planned to run an errand and head straight over, unfortunately I left my paperwork at home. Not knowing they could do the testing without it, I ran home and realizing it was already time for my appt, I called to let them know I was running late. Thankfully, the next appt was already there, so we were able to basically switch spots (them taking the current time that had been mine and me taking theirs). The woman in the office was so helpful and kind about it! I got there before the updated appt time while the vehicle before me was finishing up testing, and we were in and out like a flash after that! Very friendly, fast flexible service, and great pricing. I have been going to Smog Connection, Timm is the owner, for longer than I can remember. My car is 20 years old and every time a smog is due, I call Timm. I only have had one problem and it was a bad gas cap. Timm used a cap he had, told me I had to replace mine, and my car passed with flying colors. His price is reasonable and I am usually in and out of his shop in under 30 minutes. My only complaint is that he is a SF FOURTY NINERS fan. Realized I needed a smog to complete my registration that was due the next day. I called them late & they gave me a noon appointment the next day. Pulled beside & behind the building, they have lots of signs. Handed them my keys & DMV paperwork & they had my car smogged in 8 minutes. That is the fastest I have ever had a car smogged. They really have their process down & make it so quick & painless. Waiting room is clean, has two chairs & a couch. Paperwork was easy & quick, both the staff I talked to were very friendly & nice, Best of all, this was the cheapest we could find in our area. Nothing about doing this is exciting. We have to take time out of our day, bring our car somewhere, and pay money. What about this is something we want to do? But, The Smog Connection makes that whole process super simple. I have been using Yelp to communicate with this company to set up appointments. So cool!!! They tell me what time to show up. I drive to the back of their place, park my car, bring in my paperwork and keys, while my paperwork is being processed, the car gets check. Less then 10 mins go by, my car is done, I pay, and leave.
