Great service! Came in for a SMOG test and it was done within 15 minutes. Unfortunately, it didn't pass the first time, but David was transparent and explained what had gone wrong. I've never been to this place for a smog check. I was in a hurry and couldn't find anyone who had the time to do a smog check late in the day. He said it was first come first serve and he didn't have anyone waiting. I drove down after replacing my O2/LEL sensors. I'm glad he asked why I was getting the car smogged cause he let me know you have to drive the car approximately 100 miles after replacing the sensors. He showed me on the reader he plugged into the jeep. That was awesome he let me know before it failed. He didn't charge me anything. Just told me to drive it a hundred miles and bring it back. A couple days later I drove 100 miles down 505 to 5 then back and brought it in. He checked it again before putting it on the machine and said the sensors were reset. 15 minutes later I was done! I made the mistake of having my car serviced and getting a new battery before going to get a smog check and it has failed like five times because the mileage reset on the car and the owner is very nice and caring And communicative and keeps telling me to bring it back for free to get retested. I keep coming back because it is convenient and expedient. Came in with one person ahead of me. Asked if the coupon mention (automatic $30 off, just mention "the coupon") was a better deal than the $41 GroupOn. Apparently the GroupOn price is before the $8.25 certificate charge, so I was happy leaving with a receipt for $43. Ya, it's up a whole $5 over the past two years. (see older picture) They provided me with a printout that the vehicle had been smogged and told me that they were going to transmit it to the DMV electronically. My husband had gone here before- all he could describe was that this smog place was next to the "Mexican meat market in Vacaville". He and I both experienced friendly, quick and reliable service. When I came (around 10am), the gentleman I spoke with (he goes by "Joe" at restaurants) said he didn't have any openings at the time but quickly offered a 1pm appointment for the same day. When I returned, there was no wait, in less than 15 min I was in, smog checked, I paid, certificate in hand and out the parking lot. Be sure to mention a coupon, but they offer a discount and they're cheaper than other places in town. If you need a smog, come here. They're located on Monte Vista Ave, west of hamburger hill, right off the freeway. So if you're from Fairfield/Suisun or on I-80 driving by, you should try this place for a smog. Friendly employees and comparable prices. My vehicle failed the first time due to a hose not having a clamp and leaked. They suggested the fix and I went right over to Autozone spent $3 on a clamp and fixed it right up even had my young son replace it. Came back and passed right away. Came in here to get my smog done. The staff is very friendly. The staff let me know about how long my smog would take. They assured me it wouldn't take long and they honored the discounts I had. The most honest shop, I just bought a car and was completely screwed over. Fake smog, fake info, the car didn't even have a catalyst converter they cut the o2 sensor and much much more ...long story short I was completely taken advantage of. The owner David felt soooooo bad he didn't charge me, and gave me a free smog for the next car I need Smogged. He even went out of his way to show me how to avoid this in the future and looking at other aspects of my car he did not have to. Amazing customer service and just overall a compassionate person. Called yesterday to get a quote for a smog for an RV; the lady asked the year of the RV then quoted $48. We went and picked up the RV today and took it in and upon arriving the lady at the shop said the price was $149. She was very rude and questioned if we had an appointment. My husband informed her that we called yesterday, verified the price, verified their hours and never did they say we needed an appointment. She said no one quoted us that. Yes-yes they did. Maybe she didn't listen when she answered the phone when I said I need a quote for a smog on an RV and she just gave me their standard price. Either way, the attitude at the shop upon arriving is unacceptable and placing the blame on us when in fact we did call prior to coming. Least to say we will not support this business.
