Stopped by Smog King in Vacaville and had such a great experience. I called ahead and headed over while he was finishing up another car. He even opened the door for me coming in, which immediately felt welcoming. They take walk-ins, the process was super quick, and my car was done in less than 20 minutes I think. The lobby was also surprisingly cute and comfortable with plenty of seating. I especially loved that they had books for kids while waiting, including Where's Waldo, which was such a thoughtful touch. Friendly service, easy process, and overall just a genuinely pleasant experience. Definitely recommend if you need a smog check in Vacaville! read more

Fast and friendly! I came here for a smog on my Honda. The owner met me at the door and welcomed me in. He explained the process and ask me to pull my car up to the stall. I sat in the waiting room while he ran the smog. I could also see my car through the window which was cool. Payment was super easy through a text message. I was out of there within 45 minutes. Thanks Smog King! read more

I arrived around lunch time and even though the owner was enjoying his meal he stopped and took care of me right away. Really appreciated that. I dropped in without an appointment. He didn't rush and it gave me a chance to check out the reading materials in the office waiting area. Wonderful selections! The cost for a smog and certification was $78 even with a $30 online coupon. It's been awhile since I had a smog I guess. I appreciated the advice also about transmission fluid. I had a fluid exchange done and the problem I was experiencing seems to be gone. Thanks much! Recommend highly! read more

Been going here since I moved to Vacaville about 6 years. First failed vehicle recently and was referred to the Referee. Come to find out, Smog King made an error. I was ok with a retest but instead I got an aggressive, hostile, threatening phone call from Antoine. Do not take your car here. Question him and you'll get an ear full. YOU'RE RESPONSE IS A LIE. MY ID SAYS VACAVILLE AND THAT'S THE ADDRESS YOU THREATENED. ITS ALRIGHT I UNDERSTAND YOU GOTTA KEEP UP THE LIE FOR YOUR BUSINESS. Try being professional. read more

1 star I went to Smog King for a smog check back in April, and they made a serious error that has now caused me major issues. They recorded my vehicle's mileage as 193,194 instead of the correct 93,194 -- a 100,000-mile mistake. Because of this, Carfax now shows inflated mileage on my vehicle, and it's made selling my car extremely difficult. When I returned to Smog King to ask for help correcting the mistake, the owner was incredibly rude and told me "not my problem" -- no apology, no attempt to help, just a dismissive attitude. This kind of customer service is unacceptable, especially when the business is the one at fault. I will never return to Smog King and would strongly advise others to go elsewhere if you care about your time, your vehicle, and how you're treated. read more

The owner is cool. Get you in and out at a respectable time. Just make sure you ask what the price is first. Presented him with a $30 off coupon from his website and my price went from $88 to $78...make that make sense. I've never paid more than $50 to get a smog. Service 5 stars. Price 3 stars. read more

No appointment was needed for added convenience. Thank you Smog King! read more

Registration time for my vehicle and I needed a smog. Today, I decided to do a walk-in this morning. When I arrived, there were only 2 cars in front of me. The owner was out there and greet me as soon as he saw me walk up. I told him a smog was needed and I didn't get to print the coupon and he said no worries I got you. He was friendly and he engaged with the clients ahead of me. He did the work himself from what I seen and he was efficient and explained to clients whether it passed or if it needed work. In my opinion, it's good when they take the time to explain what needs to be done if it didn't pass. And from what I observed that's what he did with one of the clients! it went quick! When it was my turn, I pulled my car in and waited while he ran the test. It took less than 10 mins, quicker than what I was told so that was great. He came out and with my paperwork and it passed the smog test! Woo hoo! I'm not sure what the normal cost is for a smog, but he gave me the $30 off even when I forgot to print the coupon so that was helpful. I highly recommend this place if a smog is needed. Great service, quick and helpful! Thank you and I'll be back when I need a smog again! read more
