This business used to be The Cherry Pit, which as super efficient and had great service. It is now called "Oil Changers". It is a two-bay shop and they have always had both bays filled. I've come in one previous time since the change of ownership and although there were a lot of differences, it wasn't horrible. I have been putting off my oil change and finally made the trip into town to have it done. I arrived at about 11:10 on a Tuesday. Only one bay was in use and there were only two cars being worked on. I pulled up and got in line and sat there for about 5 minutes before anyone came out to talk to me. A large man came out and told me it would be an hour before they could work on my car. There were 4 guys working. 4. I'm not sure how many people it takes Oil Changers to change oil, but it used to be a quick and simple deal at The Cherry Pit. You were usually in and out in 20 minutes. So what is going on with this business? I just saw them milling around with their hands in their pockets. I'm still sitting here patiently waiting and it has now been 35 minutes. SMH. I don't know that I'll ever come back here. Just in the time I have been here I have seen 4 vehicles pull in for service and then leave. I really hope the new owner cares enough to read this review because it's looking like a serious problem is going on here. Good luck keeping your doors open. At this rate, even if they have minimum wage employees, this business is costing more than it's making. read more

I called Oil Changers to inquire about turnaround time and getting my vehicles oil changed then took my car down there. I barely got my vehicle in park before a gentleman was asking what they can do for me. I told him I was there to drop my car off for an oil change and he immediately replied "We don't do drop offs! We aren't The Cherry Pit!" Which is honestly really sad since the business that formally operated there (The Cherry Pit) was great! I said "oh, okay... I can stay" and he then said "well, also we don't do this type of vehicle. We don't carry the oil filter for it". It just seemed like unnecessarily rude to someone trying to do business there. Hello Oil Changers sadly I have to write about my horrifical experience I have received at the Oil Changers here in Vacaville I have been coming here for YEARS prior to the change when it was called the ''Cherry Pit'' with my fleet of 30+ Vehicles.. Today I brought my personal vehicle. I was greeted with a ''what do you want'' In a very upset manner I thought he was very rude... I then replied ''A oil change if that's not to much to ask for'' He grunted then said ya sure its going to be at least an hour.. 2 cars in the bay and I'm the next one in line( I've definitely seen them faster). I've been coming here for years with the fleet of vehicles and never been greeted in that form.. I've been treated with respect here but today is the day I take my entire fleet to a new company where I'm treated with respect. Invoice said washed windshield ''Declined'' I would have love my windshield washed as every time its been done (Never declined) Lights ''Declined'' Again never declined I feel this is a very important service ESPECIALLY for a fleet so we can make sure all our drivers are taken care of and safe on our roadways. Air filter ''Declined'' Again I never declined it.. After my oil change I checked my filter and it was beyond dirty ended up going to Auto Zone where the employees installed it for free KOOODOS AUTOZONE!! Tires ''Declined'' This one was the reason I will be removing my ENTIRE fleet from Oil Changers.. Never did I decline it, I feel this one was very important to me especially in a fleet to make sure all my employees are safe on their roadways. tire low light was on had to make one EXTRA stop at AMERICAN TIRE COMPANY where they were delighted to fill my tires with air no questions asked.. I will not be back nor will my entire fleet and will be calling to remove my entire fleet of vehicles and will share with my other outside contractors to not go here.. As a business owner we outsource our fleets to make sure they are taken care of and safe for each and every employee who drives our company trucks and its a total fail.. My technician was by the name of JEFF.. JEFF you failed to be professional to my entire company NOT sure if he is new but this was just sad... My wife and I brought our car in for a smog check on a Saturday morning. They opened at 8am and we arrived around 8:30am and they already had 2 people ahead of us for smog checks. We were told it was going to b about 45 min, so my wife and I left to go grab some coffee. To my surprise, I got a call about 30 minutes later telling me our car was done! Price of the smog check is one of the best if not the best in town with a coupon from the monthly Your Town mailer or a coupon from their website....$29.95 + $8.25 for the DMV certificate! Super disappointed with this oil change experience. This was my first time at this location. I wasn't greeted, just immediately instructed to pull in and pop the hood. They completed the oil change and asked if I wanted them to check the lights, so we went through that inspection. Then I was given a total of over $100. I was a little shocked at this price, and was even more surprised to read the receipt. They charged me for a synthetic oil change when I always do non-synthetic. They never even asked what I wanted. The receipt also stated that I declined a window wash, which I didn't because I was never asked. Very disappointed with my recent oil change service. I've taken vehicles there for years, but this and the last time I feel the service is lacking. I asked if my chassis was lubed and was told that the lubrication points were full! Well that's not how it works. Each point should be lubricated at approximately 5,000 miles. These guys are so nice. I needed help getting the lug nut off because the previous mechanic who changed my oil last put it back on way too tight. They loosened it for me and gave me a new lug nut all for free. Truly incredible customer service for someone who didn't even buy anything. They quoted an oil change for $60 if I decided to let them do it and I would have, but my guy knows how to change the oil so I had him do it. I was surprised to find out I didn't have to get out of my car at all. I stuck my head out the window and asked one of the employees how they're able to do anything without me getting out of my car. I called to check if their smog technician was working that day because I had previously missed him (my fault for not calling). They told me that 430 was last call since he's out the door at 5. I told them I might be cutting it close and didn't want to keep him late since I was calling around 4. I was assured that as long as I got there before 430, I was good. Got the okay from my boss to get out of work early, arrived at 420, to be told they weren't taking another car. Smog king is down the street. Better customer service. Not super busy. I understand the oil price and going up and a reasonable increase in the overall service, but geez! The young men working here were polite, but the only explanation for the exorbitant increase was they have no control over the increase in the cost of the filters. Going with a 2 star. I always go for smog and its always smooth in and out. I personally do my own oil changes. I brought in my work truck out of convenience. Quick oil change in and out. I leave for work the next day. Driving down 80 I smell oil. Ehh whatever, Keep going, my truck is smoking, pull over. Look under the car, oil is pouring out onto the ground. My drain plug is gone. Get a tow back to them, they pay for the tow. Thank you for that. They fill me back up cleaned off the truck half heartedly I might add, it still drips and smells like burned oil.
