My first experience at Wrench Works was when I brought my car in for an inspection. Right away, I was greeted by Valorie, who was very friendly and welcoming. It was a busy day, but she handled customers, scheduling, and phone calls with a great attitude. While I was there for about an hour, I noticed how caring and professional the team was. One technician took the time to help an older customer understand what was going on with her car before she left. He also assisted another customer in Spanish when she was having trouble communicating in English, and you could tell he made her feel comfortable and understood. I also had the chance to meet Matt, the owner. Based on my first visit, Wrench Works seems like a great shop with a team that genuinely cares about its customers. I'm looking forward to having more work done on my car here. read more

Wrench Works is awesome! I took my FL5 Type R to get the Axle seal replaced and the quality and value is truly amazing for the service requested. I called in advance for an appointment and I was happy with the results received. Wrench Works is a great place for all cars, but for JDM, I prefer their shop read more

I used to have a VW and they made me aware that all of the times (and $s) I had my vehicle serviced at the dealership in town, not once was the service documented on Carfax. Even when I had significant transmission issues when it was high in miles. Once I realized they service other makes, I've been loyal taking my new Honda there regularly. They even now offer daily rentals with free shuttle service for a reasonable price. Knowing that the service is reliable and they make accomodations so that it can work around my schedule - I'm forever loyal to them going forward. read more

They did a GREAT job on things that needed to be fixed on my car .. I definitely will recommend them to anyone I know that's having car issues... read more

Brought in the car and couldn't be happier with the service. Would go back again. Oil change done as stated. A diagnostic and fix was also done as the car had three check lights come on. After the work, the car works so wonderful now. The customer service was beyond stellar. What I love about this company is that you can receive a text message which has a link to read a full detail report of what assessments were done with the car and what the potential interventions should be. On top of that, you also have a phone conversation with an explanation of what fixes should be done immediately vs. what can wait. They are very honest and I appreciate that a lot. Very RARE to find. Keep up the great work. read more

Talked to Christian last week...Wrench Works replaced my spark plugs on my 6 cylinder truck. Discussed with Christian a part that needed to be removed causing a recommended replacement of a gasket and was quoted a cost for service in addition to the spark plugs. The day of the part did not need to be removed to access the spark plugs. Adjustment made to price for service and my truck was good as new! I appreciate the great customer service and honesty. Bring your vehicle to Wrench Works for awesome work! read more

After being overcharged and completely misled by the local Toyota dealership, I started bringing my car to Wrench Works for all my maintenance and repairs. It was the best decision I could have made. They are honest, trustworthy, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend! read more

I was buying a car from a distant state (Louisiana) and a nearby dealer offered my a car and said there was no oil leak, no battery issues, and the transmission was fine. Christian and Jose did the pre-purchase inspection...and found all the holes. Oil was under pans they forgot to clean, transmission fluid was corrupted, and the battery had problems in the past. Christian spent time on the phone answering all my questions for another half and hour. I felt really good about either asking the dealer to fix the oil leak or discount the price so that I could...they said the car passed their inspection so its being sold "as is" at the price listed. Not to me it wasnt. These guys really helped me see what was going on with the car and saved me from overpaying on a near future expensive car repair...worth every penny! read more

I'd give a Zero star if I could. I've used this app service on multiple occasions and you would think that by now I would've learned my lesson. However after reading the other reviews, it seems Wrench has developed a repetitive habit of quoting online and then changing the price right before the appt is to occur. My service was for an oil pressure sensor replacement originally quoted at $184 for 1hr of labor in which I'm providing my own part. On the day of my appt when I call to confirm they say my appt is on hold because I had not accepted the price change to $294 for 1.6hr in labor. I'm literally telling them that what they're telling me is just wrong because I know where the sensor is and the mechanic (in which I've used before) shouldn't even take the hour to complete. The rude representative refused to let me speak with a supervisor or manager and she cancelled my appt even though I said I didn't agree to that. After asking for a supervisor 12 times she transferred me back to their answering service in which I got another rep that claimed she would call me back after checking which I highly doubt will happen. These ppl are trying to rip the customer off for profit because the mechanic doesn't even get but 40% of what they charge and even though this specific mechanic I feel is lazy, I'm sure he would've verified if they had of reached out like they said they would do. I called his personal phone to ask if they had contacted him and he won't even answer yet he also has his own mechanic service. Wrench should be reported to the BBB and any other entity that regulates them because it seems they are trying to scam customers out of money and providing mediocre mechanics. read more

I had the BEST experience with this company. I live in Sacramento and I was in Vacaville for a work event when I realized I needed to get my car smogged to pay for registration. Well, my car didn't pass and I started calling around to get my car fixed so I could smog it again and I was having no luck until... Wrench Works. Christan really saved me by explaining what could be wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. He was really helpful, explaining potential problems and solutions in a way I could understand. Cars and not my strong suit and he explained everything without making me feel like an idiot. They were able to take my car with the promise that they would try to get to it the same day and if not they would definitely do it the next day. They even took it across the street and had it smogged so it was ready to go when I came to pick it up. They turned a very stressful situation around for me and I earned a customer for life. I plan on driving to Vacaville for any future repairs. Matt was also very helpful and funny, working with me on the phone and in person. Bottom line: Helpful, affordable, and fast. Earned a loyal customer for life. read more

These guys were awesome! Brought my truck in for new front brakes. My brake% notification alert was showing 22% left, plus I have over 100k with the original pads. They took my wheels off, noticed I still had tons of life left on them. Instead of replacing them and making money off me; they made sure I was aware it wasn't necessary. Other shops would have just changed them and charged me. Their integrity alone is why I won't take my vehicle anywhere else. read more

Great service. Thorough explanation of services rendered. (Have never heard this thorough an explanation, ever!) Good prices. (Not over Pricing as the others we have encountered!). Wrench Works treats each customer with respect. I highly recommend this vehicular repair shop! read more

As a woman it's hard to find an auto mechanic you feel comfortable and safe taking your vehicle to. From the moment I called Wrench Works, Matt was professional, kind, and took the time to explain things to me in terms that I could understand but did not make me feel like an idiot. The quotes they gave me for work were incredibly reasonable, the repairs were done in a timely manner, and I appreciated the photos showing me exactly what was being repaired and why. We will continue to take our cars here and refer friends as well! read more

I was at work and started up my Prius and my motor was shaking and knocking violently. My car has over 200k miles on it and I thought for sure my motor was cooked. I had my car towed to Wrench Works and spoke to Christian who was very helpful especially with my vehicle getting dropped off late on a Friday. They weren't able to look at it until Monday and I was expecting to have to pay thousands to fix what ever was wrong with my car. Turns out rodents had found their way in to my motor and ate through my wires. I was back on the road for under $300. Hoping I won't need automotive repairs anytime soon but if I do they will be my first call. read more

Great service. It's been my place to go for few years. Always have had great experience. They are professional and solid. Thank you.

Just want to let everyone know the team at Wrench Works in Vacaville is the best I've ever worked with. From Alicia at the Customer Service desk to every mechanic I've had work on my car, I genuinely could not ask for better support and service. As an example, back in October I had the right rear brake assembly replaced. Less than 12 months later, I lost brake fluid pressure, and Wrench Works fit me in within a couple of days. Turned out to be a faulty part, and they replaced it with $0 charge to me for parts or labor. I don't know how you can beat that kind of customer service. read more

Professional, quiet and clean space to wait, electronic documentation provided. Friendly staff.

This is a great auto repair shop. My daughter returned home from college and her car needed some TLC. I received Fair estimates for work that needed to be done. The work that was done was done well. Communication was excellent all the way through the process. A job well done. Thank you Wrench Works ! read more

As a single woman I always feel comfortable coming here. I don't feel like I am being taken advantage of.

First time here: great service from beginning to end! Simple service on my 2004 Celica and couldn't be more pleased with the courtesy of the staff and their willingness to please. It was late in the afternoon and they even had an additional part rushed-in to complete the service.Their prices were fair and waiting room was comfortable and immaculate. read more

I took my old, 2000 Honda Civic to Wrench Works for repairs. The car was operating at a high temperature and I could not figure out why. The technicians communicated with me while resolving the issue by sending me detailed notes along with pictures and sometimes videos. That helped me make sense of what and why things were being done and how much it would cost. The shop resolved the issue and the car is running much better. I had a good experience here and I recommend this shop to others. read more

I decided to go to Wrench Works instead of the dealership for my "60K service". They explained exactly what it was without making it sound like some intensive service. They showed me my cabin filter which I had replaced previously and recommended against charging it. That kind of integrity and honesty means a lot to me. I'm glad I chose them based on all the positive Yelp reviews. read more

Performed service requested satisfactorily and at reasonable price. Able to repair existing part.

My husband and I highly recommend Wrench Works. Our vehicle recently had multiple codes pop up, of course right as our smog test was due. They honored a 2 year warranty we had on one of the parts that they had replaced. They went above and beyond to fix the one code. The other code, they were upfront and honest with the repair quote and did their best to get our vehicle back as soon as they possibly could. Wrench Works communicated extremely well with my husband. We felt that they truly cared about our car getting fixed in a timely and reasonable manner. We've brought our current vehicle only to their business and will continue to do so, though hopefully it won't be necessary at least in the near future. read more

This place is a Gem! Thank goodness there are still a few honest and reputable repair shops left. I brought my Porsche GT3 over to them for an A/C service and upon arriving I was greeted by Luke (one of the owners) and immediately I felt a connection with them. They are very cool and polite people. They charge a very fair price and do such an amazing Job. Luke explained to me very well the do's and dont's and gave me some advice for my car. He is very knowledgeable with cars. I left my car with them and It was done, I was notified through text with an email link about my car's repair report (which I found very cool). I came back to pick up my vehicle and i saw it in a very clean condition and parked with seats wrapped in plastic and floor mats with paper protection. My A/C is now blowing cold air like it's brand new. I'll definitely come back to Wrench Works for future service for all my cars. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest, professional and good priced serv read more

This place is amazing! I went to get my brakes done and not only did they do a great job they went out of their way to not replace my calipers which would have increased the cost. They also got me in the same day I called! Don't take your cars to the dealership take it here first read more

I called Wrench Works trying to get my car looked at for suspension issues. I advised Chris of what was going on and at no point during the call did he advise me of any inspection fee to just look at my vehicle. Needless to say I took time off of work to drop my truck off and when I arrived Chris advised me that it would be $190 fee to just look at my vehicle. I declined the inspection but what really disappointed me was Chris's rude response of "I don't work for free" in front of other customers.. His attitude has completely turned me off on Wrench Works. If your shop doesn't offer free estimates Wrench Works should state that in the initial call and advise the customer instead of disrespecting them in front of others. I ended up taking my car to Les Schawb Tire Center in town, they were courteous and professional with me. They inspected my car for free and even went as far as resolving the issue with no cost to me. read more

Definitely the best customer service and top tier vehicle maintenance in Vacaville by far.

Excellent service, great price. Customer service and communication is top notch. Best shop in Vacaville.

Went in for a problem with my clutch as the pedal was going all the way to the floor and the transmission was still engaged. I tried to bleed the system myself and couldn't get the air out. Brought it to Wrench Works and the problem was solved in about an hour. They blow the clutch got all the air out total pros. I have to say I was very impressed with their service as far as making the appointment to bring my jeep in and while it was there, the communication was awesome and picking up and paying was easy and comfortable and the price was very very fair much lower than I expected.
