Talked to Christian last week...Wrench Works replaced my spark plugs on my 6 cylinder truck. Discussed with Christian a part that needed to be removed causing a recommended replacement of a gasket and was quoted a cost for service in addition to the spark plugs. The day of the part did not need to be removed to access the spark plugs. Adjustment made to price for service and my truck was good as new! I was buying a car from a distant state (Louisiana) and a nearby dealer offered my a car and said there was no oil leak, no battery issues, and the transmission was fine. Christian and Jose did the pre-purchase inspection...and found all the holes. Oil was under pans they forgot to clean, transmission fluid was corrupted, and the battery had problems in the past. Christian spent time on the phone answering all my questions for another half and hour. I felt really good about either asking the dealer to fix the oil leak or discount the price so that I could...they said the car passed their inspection so its being sold "as is" at the price listed. I'd give a Zero star if I could. I've used this app service on multiple occasions and you would think that by now I would've learned my lesson. However after reading the other reviews, it seems Wrench has developed a repetitive habit of quoting online and then changing the price right before the appt is to occur. My service was for an oil pressure sensor replacement originally quoted at $184 for 1hr of labor in which I'm providing my own part. On the day of my appt when I call to confirm they say my appt is on hold because I had not accepted the price change to $294 for 1.6hr in labor. I'm literally telling them that what they're telling me is just wrong because I know where the sensor is and the mechanic (in which I've used before) shouldn't even take the hour to complete. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The rude representative refused to let me speak with a supervisor or manager and she cancelled my appt even though I said I didn't agree to that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]After asking for a supervisor 12 times she transferred me back to their answering service in which I got another rep that claimed she would call me back after checking which I highly doubt will happen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] These ppl are trying to rip the customer off for profit because the mechanic doesn't even get but 40% of what they charge and even though this specific mechanic I feel is lazy, I'm sure he would've verified if they had of reached out like they said they would do. I called his personal phone to ask if they had contacted him and he won't even answer yet he also has his own mechanic service. Wrench should be reported to the BBB and any other entity that regulates them because it seems they are trying to scam customers out of money and providing mediocre mechanics. read more

Well, my car didn't pass and I started calling around to get my car fixed so I could smog it again and I was having no luck until... Wrench Works. These guys were awesome! Brought my truck in for new front brakes. My brake% notification alert was showing 22% left, plus I have over 100k with the original pads. They took my wheels off, noticed I still had tons of life left on them. Instead of replacing them and making money off me; they made sure I was aware it wasn't necessary. Just want to let everyone know the team at Wrench Works in Vacaville is the best I've ever worked with. From Alicia at the Customer Service desk to every mechanic I've had work on my car, I genuinely could not ask for better support and service. As an example, back in October I had the right rear brake assembly replaced. Less than 12 months later, I lost brake fluid pressure, and Wrench Works fit me in within a couple of days. I called Wrench Works trying to get my car looked at for suspension issues. I advised Chris of what was going on and at no point during the call did he advise me of any inspection fee to just look at my vehicle. Needless to say I took time off of work to drop my truck off and when I arrived Chris advised me that it would be $190 fee to just look at my vehicle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I declined the inspection but what really disappointed me was Chris's rude response of "I don't work for free" in front of other customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Went in for a problem with my clutch as the pedal was going all the way to the floor and the transmission was still engaged. I tried to bleed the system myself and couldn't get the air out. Brought it to Wrench Works and the problem was solved in about an hour. They blow the clutch got all the air out total pros. I have to say I was very impressed with their service as far as making the appointment to bring my jeep in and while it was there, the communication was awesome and picking up and paying was easy and comfortable and the price was very very fair much lower than I expected.
