Brought my 1965 Corvette to Corvette Express with engine vibration and some other smaller pesky issues that other "mechanics" were unable to resolve. I have to say I was surprised at the high level of customer service. Although my scheduled appointment was two months out, I was notified in advance to bring the car in on that exact pre-scheduled Monday. I was called at the end of that day and presented with a very complete evaluation and estimate of all possible issues. Some I was aware of...some I was not. Abby at the front desk thoroughly explained the procedure and cost of each listed item. I was given the choice to authorize and move forward or postpone. Once authorized, I received updates from Abby by phone during the course of repairs, which was very helpful. Repairs were completed by the end of that week. When I picked up the car, I found it cleaned and detailed and the mechanic (Matt) was brought into the office to explain in detail, how he accomplished the repairs and answer any of my questions. My Stepfather has an 88 Corvette that he was having A/C trouble with. Given we are experiencing 100 degree weather, it is imperative he have working Air. We took it to Corvette Express, Abi and Gina work the counter and are both very well versed in Corvettes and offer exceptional customer service. We had replaced the entire system ourselves, but could not find a pesky leak. The techs there identified a Shrader Valve and charged us $6.00 to replace it. We also had the A/C - Heater Control Unit rebuilt and now the system works better than it did when new. The techs, the girls and the owner are all very nice and take care of their customers like family. Each year they put on a car show in their parking lot and promises a good time for all! Brought my 1962 corvette here to be serviced and to have a full inspection completed. They were professional and very thorough. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and communicated updates often. I would recommend them to all classic corvette owners. The only reason they didn't get the 5th star in the review is because their hourly labor charge is pretty high. You definitely get what you pay for, but the hourly labor charge is more then the hourly labor for doctors visit. Again, quality work and I will be bringing my vehicle back in the future! read more

These guys rock! I took my 69 Stingray in to replace the door glass, rebuild the rear suspension, and to fix a host of other little annoying issues - it feels like a new car! Oh Man.. Stay Away!!! What a bunch of rip off artists. I always suspected it, but it wasn't until I took my corvette someplace else that I confirmed that these guys are a rip off. Watch for excessive charges, lost paperwork when you pay them cash and a whole host of other shady things. Joe is the key operator there and he is one shady dude. I could give a ton of examples. Here's one. Power steering pump pulley is rubbing slightly against frame. The easy fix: use a smaller belt. Their fix: New pulley, bleed the whole system, then install the smaller belt.Want another example? Want another? Here you go! Buy a used shifter from them. They give you linkages that don't fit. Joe sells it to you, then when you try to call him back, he is never there, and he never returns a call. read more

Hey Yelpers, little late on reveiw been busy anyone can earn a 5 star rating on a simple oil change, but you really don't know how good they are till you have a real major job done so I'm going tell you mine for what it's worth. Like car insurance don't know how good till you have to turn a claim in. Yrs. which you'll note mine wasn't good either. Yrs. Back I had Corvette express do some power steering work for me, they did good job tho hoses needed replaced after about 5 yrs. So wondering who can specialize on Vettes their couple places all about hr. Drive so I decided to go back to Corvette express wish I hadn't just took chance with Street rods close to home. I wanted to address the overheating & my exhaust cutouts not working & wiper cover not working. With direct orders to please drive car make sure it doesn't over heat. Had car towed to shop by AAA business calls saying the exchaust pipe broke off laying on ground blaming tow truck driver I called him personally said that it was intact we he dropped off! Anyones guess ...They said it was low on water ya it gets low when overheats lol so said brake caliber was leaking ok fix that too. The vacuum was working for wiper cover so they fixed it. Left scratches too look at pics. Said the transmission bearing was bad ok rebuild the transmission. The cutouts for exhaust I gave them part # item from Summit they charge a extra $100 on top of the price I paid. They Abi or Gina said we had to reseach it.! I mean maybe 5min. Charge me $20 for gas tho it still showed empty this is when gas was $2.50 gallon. So I get a buddy to pic up car wk or two later notice couple scratches in custom paint job. The owner wasn't their. So driving home car overheats again on freeway pulled over called they said after 30 min we'll send someone to help never did filled with water made it home. Asked if they test drove it like I requested they said no. We had it idle here. Called Joe about scratches he denied any wrong doing call your insurance which I did since I had zero deductible but they said because it's a custom paint they weren't going to cover it 21st insurance ! Told Joe still overheats he said bring it back but not that easy hr. Drive and need a co driver too! So next time think maybe take a chance with shop around the corner! Now I know from history reading other complaints Gina and Abbey are like lawyers they will say we don't see in our computer base you ever. Brought your car in. Only computer base I know keeps all records is Costco not Sams theirs gone in 2 yrs as most are. So I'll include pics as. Well. The engine was rebuilt & new exhaust. So I hope it helps I really don't like giving less than 5 stars but don't want people to be mislead by all the 5 star ratings on simple fixes either. I love this place. I always receive great service from their very knowledgeable staff. Joe (the owner) is the best there is, always willing to give you advice even if it doesn't result in a sale. When I purchased my 1966 Corvette, Joe provided me with some very valuable tips which helped me make a better decision. In addition, his guidance as I was in the middle of doing a mild restore on the vehicle was incredibly helpful. I purchased many of the parts from Corvette Express and the prices were usually competitive with mail order catalogs. I would gladly pay a little more anyway to support a local Corvette Shop like Corvette Express. read more

Unfortunately, the owner's alcoholism has effected his customer relations abilities while underlining his short temper. My family has known Joe for many years and used to have a good relationship with him. His shop "was" (unsure about now) capable of high quality repairs/modifications; however, my recent experience reveals that he no longer cares about customer satisfaction, nor does he take a personal interest in the care of his customers--even those who he claimed to be friends of. I've used Corvette Express multiple times for many years (while overlooking previous less costly issues), but I will be using another shop from now on. I highly suggest that people don't leave ANY car in their care--especially a valued vehicle such as a Corvette. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband began fixing up a 1969 corvette and we used corvette express in Vacaville. The car was a beautiful silver. It had t tops and a racing engine. My husband took great pride in his car. We took it to corvette express to have the windshield wipers fixed. I guess there is some kind of vacuum to make them work. I was the 2nd driver so when we dropped the car off I was there. We always dealt with Joe. His stepdaughter works the front counter, but it is Joe who calls all the shots. We took the car back three times for the wipers. They never fixed it. They got mad at us for bringing it back! I kid you not. We finally took the car to West Coast Corvette in Oakland. They fixed it right away and we didn't have to leave it with them for days. read more

Corvette Express has maintained all of my vehicles that I've ever owned from Chevy to helping me with what they could on my Hondas both of which still never broke down on me. My Accord made it to 200,000 and my Civic 5 years (forgot mileage) and their specialty is American made cars, but they will help where they can with general maintenance that for me resulted in no need for major repairs the entire time I owned the vehicles and 0 breakdowns. Took my C4 in for repairs and when I got the car back it had the same exact problem. I had to drop it off again and again while Corvette Express was just replacing parts instead of properly diagnosing the problem. The guy in charge said sometimes you have to do that, throw parts at it until it's fixed!! They called themselves Corvette specialist!! I doubt it. I never set foot in there again. read more

Had exhaust manifold replaced due to crack. Major exhaust leak as a result. (Twice as bad!) Returned to Corvette Express to have them look again and mechanic told me it was not a leak and was mechanical. I told him it's defiantly an exhaust leak/I'm certain. It was a very major leak that anyone could identify. Back and forth until they would not budge. So had to take to another place to see what was up. Other place discovered the major leak with smoke test and discovered warped flange from work Corvette Express had done. (They over-torqued the flange that makes the connection from the exhaust manifold to the flex pipe flange) As a result it's permanently damaged and will never seal correctly again. A replacement part costs $1500! (Part consists of flange, flex-pipe and cat) So other mechanic repairs with new seals and Mr. Gasket 77 seal to make thicker to account for the damaged/warped flange. Runs great and quiet as a mouse. I went back to Corvette Express to pass on the findings to better equip them with the root cause and enable learning. Mainly wanted to see if Corvette Express would do anything to help me out since they damaged my car. They basically said your SOL. We won't do anything for you. Didn't even knock off a half hour of labor or give me a free mint. I gave Corvette Express a chance to make it right and they started arguing to the point where I got heated. Terrible business attitude, crappy attention to detail and non-compliant with proper service manual torque specs. I'll never go back and shame on you if you get hosed by them because I told you so. read more

I would highly recommend Corvette Express for you Corvette maintenance needs. We took in our 2001 Corvette Roadster to have a leak fixed. They discovered the water pump was the source of the leak. They removed and replaced the pump and it has been operating very well since they did the repairs. In addition, since this was a used car that we recently purchased, they thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and flushed and replaced all the fluids in our Corvette as well. I took my Corvette in because it was missing and was told it needed a new Optispark costing $1600. I had the work done because they told me they were Corvette specialists. Well when I got the car back it ran exactly the same. I took it back in and they found one bad fuel injector which should have just costed a little over $100. I fought the bill but ended up paying it and later learned that not one of the mechanics working there specialized in Corvettes and most were inexperienced and only one of them had worked on Chevy's before.
