Ryan's is amazing; they are very reasonable and very professional. You get dealer service without dealer pricing. I had Ryan's replace a fog light on my daughter's 2009 TSX. The dealer quoted me $275.00 plus parts; Ryan's replaced it for $233.00 total, and the job took two hours. read more

I visited Ryan's Mechanics in Fairfield, CA, for a multi-point inspection. They recommended nearly $4,000 in repairs, including rear and front bushings and a cracked marker light. However, a second mechanic found that the bushings were fine and that the marker light lens only had a small chip on the corner before the glue seal -- not an actual crack or structural damage. The second shop completed all necessary repairs for about $700. When I brought this up to Ryan's, they insisted their assessment was correct and dismissed the other shop's findings. On a positive note, the front desk staff was pleasant, which is why I'm giving them two stars. Overall, it felt like a money grab, so I'd recommend getting a second opinion. read more

I brought my old Toyota a week before my smog was due. I had prior failed due to a EVAP leak and high NOx2 numbers. Ryan's Automotive came through with the repairs needed to get my vehicle to pass CA Smog requirements. Kudos to you Brian and the shop team, you have earned my business and I will always recommend your shop. read more

Went to Ryan's today for an AC service on an older Nissan Altima with over 200,000 miles on it. After trying to do it myself last year, I needed a little bit more professional help. I have an appointment at 3 o'clock and they were very timely and started the appointment immediately. So immediate that I felt comfortable on waiting for the service to take place. They were very honest and explained what they could do and what they couldn't do, but increased my AC performance and lower the temperature quite a bit. Very satisfied with their service today and their professionalism. If and when I need future service, I will not hesitate to come to them. read more

Brian and the team at Ryan's auto are fantastic, and this is the only place I've trusted with my two trucks for several years. I have a 2016 Yukon XL and a 1994 F250, and I've had substantial work done on both here. I've never had any issues with the work done and prices have always felt fair. If you're looking for a new mechanic this is the spot! read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!! Did not diagnose my air conditioner/said I just asked for a service which was totally WONG didn't work a few days later called and they wanted to Charge me another 189 dollars on top of the 250 I paid !!! All within 4 days due to weekend closed . Only 3 mechanics working there and over 30 cars per day apparently!!! Poor customer service and work ethics , they don't even test drive the car after they work on it !!!!! Never use them !!!! read more

Came here for a Pre-Purchase Inspection. I was looking at a used car close by, and not only did they do a very thorough examination at a great price. The mechanic found several issues I never would've known about, which would've cost thousands of dollars if i'd bought the car. Was grateful to reject that car and that dealer. Rachelle in the office was also very informative about my overall car questions, giving me her expert insight on cars, and how she approaches used car buying... And she's funny too =.)... Def recommend this shop! read more

My alternator went out. Even though they were real busy they still got my car in. Great customer service.

I brought my car here for suspected vandalism, and an insurance claim. They did work on my car that I did not approve of, claiming that my insurance told them to do so. When I told them I didn't want it I was told it was too late and I had to pay my deductible still. My car was never properly fixed and because of their lack of communication I am stuck in a bad situation with my car and insurance. read more

I brought my 2002 Rav 4 to Ryan's 1/20/25. It had failed the smog test twice at another shop. My experience at Ryan's was excellent from beginning to end. First of all I was greeted by Rachel, in the office. She is awesome; upbeat, positive, knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. Because of their experienced mechanics, my car was brought up to smog test standards and it passed inspection. All this in one day! I was relieved and beyond satisfied with their work. They made a few recommendations of things the car needs in the future, but no pressure at all. I highly recommend Ryan's Automotive to everyone, and will continue going to this shop. read more

Such a lovely experience! They smogged my car and fixed all issues efficiently. Great service! And Rachel is the best! She is so friendly and thorough with explaining all things. read more

Overpriced, too much added recommendations to add to the total. Taking advantage of unknowledgable customers.

If you are a mature and responsible vehicle owner, you will understand mechanic work is costly. If you want experienced professionals, be prepared to pay up. If you aren't in a position to do so, try it and figure out your options. Don't be a victim and blame everybody else with negative reviews. Ryans Automotive is 100% worth the investment in maintaining your vehicle. They will ensure your and your family's safety on the road. My son's repair was costly, but as a responsible, community-contributing citizen, I recognize Ryan's Automotive value in our community: outstanding service, quality parts, and professional, timely, honest, and friendly advice. I strongly recommend Ryan's Auto Service. They are an excellent local business worthy of our continued investment. Thank you!! read more

First of all I was glad that my car pass , just a couple of minor things had to be done, but they were done right on the spot. Service was excellent, very professional and informative. Glad that your company is still doing the brake and light safety inspection. Took awhile to be seen but because they are the only one who does the inspection it was worth the wait. Thanks again Rachel . I will recommend anyone to your shop read more

I brought my vehicle in for a battery issue and they ran a diagnostic to see what work I needed to have done. It was done quickly and they didn't pressure me into any additional work they found while diagnosing my vehicle. The inspection was thourough and the employees were very helpful. I would definitely recommend these guys. read more

I needed a certified vehicle inspection to register my salvaged vehicle. Ryan's is the only Service center at this time who performs this test. I called and the inspection specs and cost were explained to me. I was also directed to the California handbook online to read all of the inspection points, so I could properly prepare. I scheduled my appointment, was notified by text message of whether I passed or failed, exactly what I needed to correct, and Ryan's estimate for the repair (s) in order to pass and receive my certificate. I also was informed of the option to take my car elsewhere to have the repairs, and what the costs would be to bring it back for a re-test. Fortunately for me, my repair was minimal, so I had Ryan's do the work and I received my passing certificate that afternoon. A happy customer. read more

We had a terrible experience with another auto shop here in fairfield which resulted in us losing all 4 of our lug nuts on a single tire. Ryan's was there for us and gave us support through the whole process. We have been coming here for years and won't be going anywhere else again. Rachel is always so helpful! They are honest and have quality work. Thank you again! read more

This shop is awesome. From the first phone call to the end of service, I had no issues at all. The staff are super friendly, they went above and beyond, the communication is very thorough, and the service was done quickly. I had a known axle seal leak and called to get a quote. I was able to have my car brought in the next day. They found some other issues and documented in with photos, which I could access via an online portal. I got to choose what to approve and what not to approve and be able to see the total estimate of each item and all together. I would 100% recommend this shop to friends and family members. I know it's hard to find a decent and honest shop these days. And I'll definitely come back if I have other issues I don't feel confident in fixing myself. Thank you guys at Ryan's Service and Rachel! read more

Fast, courteous and friendly service. Staff is knowledgeable. Will use again for future needs. And also tell friends and family.

I had some work done to my truck awhile back and it included a new battery with a 30 month warranty. Well what do you know.....the battery went bad. No problem right, just take it back and get it replace.....wrong!! Ryan wanted me to bring the truck to him so he could test it and then determine if he would replace it. So this would mean getting it towed to him. Stay with me.....he said I would be charged shop labor for him to test it. Remember I have a warranty on the battery. All I asked was for a replacement on a product he sold me and he was going to charge me again? I ended up taking the battery and my work order which showed the warranty information directly to Interstate for a replacement no questions asked. Customer service is HUGE to me and this shop failed!! A good shop stands behind the product it sells. He just lost a customer. read more

I was driving home from work right after the new year and my transmission went out. I had my car towed to Ryan's Automotive to see if it was salvageable.... Well, it was deemed to need a new one (stupid Fords). The owner Brian was able to get me one ordered immediately and I was in a rental car for a week while we waited for the transmission to arrive from the Midwest. Once it arrived (2 days late) Brian had it installed, programmed and tested in 24 hours from the time he received it. He stayed late to ensure I had my car back the next day! The customer service I received from Brian was unmatched!!!! I'm so thankful!!! Worth every penny! Also, I got a great rental car rate at Enterprise when I gave them my repair order # from the shop... I would give them 10 stars if I could!!! Best customer service ever and my car runs better than it ever has!!!! Thanks so much Brian and team!! read more

I took my 07 Acura TL here a few months ago for a smog, they're fast and always have an open availability. They're now working on my 19 Acura TLX. While doing an oil change, they inspect your vehicle, they're honest, even showed me my spark plug and weren't just trying to make a sale. They work with shops around them such as Big Discount Tires for vehicle alignments. They give you updates during your service. Their front desk lady, Rachelle is amazing and hilarious, Bryan does amazing work. Both are very awesome and friendly. They have amazing plans for the future of the shop. They're my #1 shop to go now. read more

Service was overpriced and poor, will need to get the car serviced again as there is no warranty. I recommend going somewhere else.

This is the most dishonest mechanic shop I've ever been to. They tried to force extra services that the mechanic I ended up taking it to said were totally unneeded. Wouldn't use them if they were free. read more

I only have great things to say about Ryans automotive. I was told by another auto shop (close to Travis Air Force base) that my car (Mitsubishi lancer) had to be reprogrammed through the dealer and that it was going to be expensive. I then took it to Ryans and they listened to me and my car did not have to be reprogrammed they were able to resolve my issue for under 100 dollars. The office is very clean and the staff is professional and friendly. read more

My boyfriend took his VW golf car to this place to have his car checked. It wouldn't start. So...a staff told my boyfriend that it cost about $400.
