Ahhh Factory Specific my family and I have been going here since I was born I practically live there, the way we visit is like the employees are like family and the trips are mostly short because of how fast they work! The costumer service is beautiful and they don't try to argue, they always try their hardest to come up with a compromise. The price is to the perfect amount they don't try to scam you out of your money like other shops,and the inside decor is very pomp for how old this shop is. My Auto Guardian Angels!!! Been coming here for well over 15+ years for fantastic service for my older 2003 Acura before selling it, and now my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe on everything from simple oil changes & windshield wipers to breaks, struts, alternator, timing belts, water pump, transmission issues, etc. What really locked me in is when talking to the owner Khoi he made a point on telling me they have a special point of looking out for women, single mom's etc. because he knows in this industry, they're often easy targets for mechanics who prey on women. Totally admired him for that. I know the whole team Gene, Khoi, Andy, & TJ (has changed a bit over the years), but still same great service. I should have posted about them well over a decade ago, but after having my car serviced yesterday (12/29/25), TJ & I talked about an issue he specifically helped me with last year when I was in a battle with Hyundai Dealership staying compliant on fixing a "Rod Bearing Failure" recall issue that requires an entire replacement engine install due to my car was experiencing serious stalling, slowing down in the freeway, and drastic oil burning out to the tune of needing oil fills every 2-weeks!!! One of the Hyundai Service Specialist advised I NOT refill the oil and just let it burn out until the engine locked or a specific service light switched on. I told her that sound awfully drastic and dangerous, but she said that would be the fastest way for them to get the proper engine "Rod Bearing Failure" code reading they needed to warrant the engine replacement. Needless to say, no oil caused the catalytic converter to blow out. Now, the Hyundai Specialist comes to me singing a new tune that it's now MY responsibility to pay $4500 for the Catalytic Converter to be replaced NOT addressing the new engine at all. I immediately hopped on the phone and followed up with TJ at Factory Specific, not only did he fully consult & educate me on the EXACT steps to take to make them address and fix ALL issues including the Catalytic Converter but that I could take it up with Hyundai Corporate office as well if necessary, bottom line do NOT let them off the hook. TJ's ADVICE WAS AWESOME; I GOT NEW ENGINE & CATALYC CONVERTER REPLACMENTMENT AT $0 COST, PLUS A NEW 2025 HYUNDAI SANTA FE LOANER CAR FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS!! My Auto-Guardian Angels! ;-) Sorry this review so long, but I had to put this story out that might help someone else facing a similar recall issue and having difficult time in getting the dealership to keep their word! I haven't taken my car to their shop in a few years, due to the difficulty they had diagnosing a blown head gasket. I didn't like how that experience went. I had taken my car there 3 times in a few months for engine overheating issues and tried being as descriptive as I could with the front desk about what I was experiencing with my car. After the 3rd time, the tech told me, you should've been more specific. I didn't agree with that. Shortly after, my car got diagnosed with the blown gasket. I understand the diag can be tricky with blown or partially blown gaskets but still, they had my car, I figured they could figure it out. Maybe on their end they didn't want to jump to worst case scenario. Idk. They had tried other things before the blown gasket. During that time period, one of the times I left my car at their shop, I got my car back with a ding on my exterior door trim. I wasn't trippin about it too much because at the time my engine was overheating so I needed to deal with that. But I didn't like that it happened when my car was in their possession. Before this issue, I had taken my car there several times for oil changes, tune ups, timing belts, etc. I always had good experiences with them with stuff like that. I like that they give you the option to go with aftermarket or OEM parts. At the time when I was taking my car to this shop, they weren't the cheapest and weren't the most expensive either, but the quality of the work was always solid. read more

I was told by a different shop that I needed my brakes and rotors (and many other misc things) replaced immediately for a total of 1,500. I lost my trust in that shop and decided to get a second opinion at FactorySpecific. Not only was FactorySpecific up front with me about their prices beforehand, but they took my car back and provided me with the results in less than 30 minutes. They let me know my brakes are at 50 and 40 percent of their lifespan and no service needed to be completed at this time. Amazing place. Andy, who I believe is the master mechanic for the shop, knows what he's doing. He's very mindful and I can tell he likes, if not loves, what he's doing. The guys in the front are very friendly, welcoming and both them and the mechanics, are open to talking with customers if there are questions. It's a clean office, as well. I've seen them sweep and there's good communication between the front and back as Andy once came to the front to talk to me unprompted but was needed so the job could be done right. I do my own work and when I can't I bring to a mechanic. I've lived in the area for over 20+ years and have dealt with various shops and I've always had bad experiences which is why I've learned to take care of my cars out of necessity instead of dealing with people. Several times I've made appointments and this place has stuck to them, which is more than I can say for other shops. The work they've done on my car was minimal but I can't do it at my house. I've inspected their work and they've done work that is, at the minimum, as good as mine, if not better than mine. They stick to the book, which is like because it tells me they're not cutting corners and when they said something is wrong or could go wrong, their evaluation was not wrong. Khoi is very concerned with keeping his shop at a certain standard and that is extremely hard to find. As I've said previously, I've lived in this area for 20+ years and dealt with many shops and all have failed me. Exceptional service from everyone!! I bought a 2010 Honda Civic a few months ago and it was running pretty rough. The suspension was making all kinds of noises, and the AC wasn't getting cold. Took it to Factory Specific to have it diagnosed. The friendly service advisors kept me informed throughout the whole process and always made sure to provide me all the information I needed to make the right decision in which repairs to have performed. I took my 2001 Lexus LS 430 into the Lexus service center in Concord, they quoted me $1200 just to diagnose and figure out what was wrong, that didn't include any repair or parts that would need to be ordered. My dad found FactorySpecific by searching for places that know how to work on Lexus cars, and I brought in my car here. Immediately from the start I felt much better about what was going on with my car and knew I and my car were in good hands. Took my Camry here last week for diagnostics on brakes and to replace positive terminal cable for battery. While doing a check of the car, they also observed that I had a leak in my water pump. They called me and advised me of the problem which I decided to fix. They promised to have my car the next day by 12pm and they met their deadline. They picked me up from home and I was able to drive away in a perfectly running Camry. The prices were reasonable, but the customer service was even better.
