Took my Camry here last week for diagnostics on brakes and to replace positive terminal cable for battery. While doing a check of the car, they also observed that I had a leak in my water pump. They called me and advised me of the problem which I decided to fix. They promised to have my car the next day by 12pm and they met their deadline. They picked me up from home and I was able to drive away in a perfectly running Camry. The prices were reasonable, but the customer service was even better. After being extremely disappointed with Concord Honda's "diagnostic" efforts and expensive "repair detour" I took my Accord to Factory Specific in Fairfield to address my ONGOING oil leak. By the way, thank you Concord Honda for your excellent customer service! So keen on putting the customer first....Yeah Right! I mean we all have hundreds of dollars just waiting to be thrown away! Factory Specific, a tenth of the size of Concord Honda, in one day, diagnosed the point of my oil leak and repaired it. No fuss, no muss! Khoi, the master mechanic who supervised my repairs, even gave me a ride home and later picked me up! So I actually got to talk to the mechanic who supervised the repairs on my car and got all my questions and concerns answered. I wasn't rushed out at the end of the day like, ahem....Concord Honda! And Factory Specific didn't try to up sell me on anything else to pad their repair bill! I left with my car repaired in a timely manner, with all the used parts returned to me (so I knew the parts and work charged me was ACTUALLY done) unlike other shops such as.....hmmmm....you know who... I took my 2001 Lexus LS 430 into the Lexus service center in Concord, they quoted me $1200 just to diagnose and figure out what was wrong, that didn't include any repair or parts that would need to be ordered. Was referred to FactorySpecific by my neighbor and great friend Eric Snipes. Said these guys are "honest, reliable and won't "upsale" you to get additional work while they have your vehicle. I reviewed their YELP ratings and with Eric's solid recommendation I decided to take my Hyundai Veloster Turbo. I had another spark plug coil wire arcing unexpectedly over the weekend. I took my car into the shop just before opening on Monday morning. Fearful they would be booked solid I explained I needed to get the car back ASAP as I had a planned road trip I was now delayed as a result. They said they would do the very best but explained they were booked solid. Andy checked me in and his team offered me a ride home. I already had my friend on his way and politely declined. A few hours later Andy called and confirmed that it was a spark plug coil wire arcing and needed to be replaced. They found one and to my total and happy surprise said it would be delivered by around 2:00 at the latest and my car would be ready shortly thereafter. I agreed to the cost and gave him the go ahead. He called later at 2:00 and my car was ready to pick up. I was ELATED and thanked them profusely. I was able to start my road trip a few hours later. Murphy's Law was what happened when my Dad's truck had problems. So good old yelp, found a local business that had great reviews. We drove over and asked Gene if someone could take a quick look at my Dad's truck for a quote. Silly me, I should have made an appointment first so they could run some diagnostics on the truck since they were booked 4 days in advance. My inner child was freaking out by this time because we needed that truck to drop my parents off to the airport with their gazillion luggages in tow. Gene popped the hood and took a quick look and advised us not to drive the car since there looked like some sort of crack in the radiator hose and the gasket might blow. (Stuff I honestly don't know about, because cars are not my thing). He gave us the option of leaving the truck over night and they would see if they would be able to check it in between jobs. Which in the end was what we opted doing. After a few hours, I got a call back with a quote and because there were some cancellations, they were able to have the car ready by Monday. True to their word, we picked up the truck close to closing on Monday. Was relieved that the truck was in working order and had a rundown of a couple of things to anticipate when it came to repairs in the future. My poor little bucket Nissan has had several visits to Factoryspecific. I am fully aware I am in need of a new car but these guys keep my wheels going till I can pull the trigger. I went in a few months back due to a check engine light. I knew what it was, "Swirl Valve" issue. They diagnosed it and told me it was sticking, and they would first try to clean it, otherwise it's going to need replacement. So I got the car back, they fixed the part and threw me an oil change too. Not too harsh but it did hurt (cars need love too right?). They recommend a new battery on my next oil change. Fast forward 3 months and I bring it in. Get new battery and oil change. Next trip up past Sac, my car starts freaking out. Flashing check engine light and shaking. I make it back from my trip, call them up since it was 3 days since my new battery and oil change, and they say I need new spark plugs. They did the diagnostic for free and saved me about $60. A week later, same thing starts happening and they had to replace a coil. I was not super angry cuz I knew the car was in poopy shape, but they hooked me up again with no diagnostic and also a discount on the part/labor for the coil since they should have caught it the first time. I'd recommend them for everyone and I've seen all sorts of cars being worked on there. They are my to go to shop now in Fairfield and I am very comfortable with them working on my car. I heard what sounded like the a bad wheel bearing while driving my civic. I originally called Honda since they are closer to where I live and I was given an estimate of around $900 by the service worker for a diagnostic, parts, labor, and I guess a wheel alignment I supposedly would need. I wasn't too sure about that price and went ahead and called Factory Specific where my family and I have taken our cars prior. Andy went above and beyond to ensure the dashboard light was installed, rear drivers side brake light assembly, timing belt, programmed a new key fob, and also cleared a hybrid check engine light that just came on. He showed me photos of the back filter, which keeps the battery cooled, totally filthy. The dealership and Firestone never even once mentioned to me that this needed to be looked at. This place is awesome! Came here with my '08 Acura TSX. As a woman, I'm stereotyped and most places ATTEMPT to swindle me. It's been to the point where they tell me that I need headlight fluid. Really? This place is reliable and ran by good, honest people. Khoi, the owner, only charges you for what you need. The prices are super reasonable. Even dealerships are attempting to match his prices! When you walk in, there's a front desk, and a waiting room to the left. The waiting room is spacious and even has a children's fixture to keep them entertained. They have a nice coffee bar with various flavors (Sumatra, hazelnut, morning roast, etc). I called for an appointment, and waited 2 weeks to get in. I chose this company because of the great reviews it received. It was well worth it. They diagnosed my car within a few hours of dropping it off and gave me, what I feel is a very fair price for parts and labor to have it fixed. Um...YES, please! ALSO, when I called initially, I was told when to show up as they usually do oil changes in the AM and they didn't want me waiting unnecessarily?!! The OWNER gives me a ride from/back to his garage (?!!) and tons of useful information along the way. My previously famous mechanic decided to up and retire on me (HOW DARE HE!), so I had to go and find a new mechanic to help me. I didn't want to go all the way down to Hell to find one, so I tried Yelp first. And as usual, my fellow Yelpers were right! I took my Optima down to Factoryspecific for its 60,000 mile service. They were prompt and I got great value, even though my Kia wasn't one of the makes that they really specialize in. I also asked them to check out a weird noise that was coming from the engine, which they did for me at no charge and told me where it was coming from. They explained how difficult (and costly) it would be to fix it even though it's not really a problem, just an annoying noise. Because I'm still under warranty they recommended that I go down to Kia and make them fix it, even explaining what excuse Kia will likely give me to avoid fixing it and what my response to them should be. They could have raked me over the coals to fix my annoying noise, but instead armed me with the information I needed to get it done for free. I'll definitely be back! read more

The shop in Dixon that I went to before was in transition (moving to a new location). I was a little overdue for an oil change and my A/C wasn't blowing cold. I found this shop via Yelp *and* it was recommended to me by a couple of friends. So, I made an appointment. They quoted me for the oil change and an A/C inspection. I signed and they said they'd call once the inspection was complete. They called. Oil change done. Instead of the A/C inspection, they actually had a Summer special on an A/C service which accomplished the same thing but saved me some money! Believe the hype. This place is legit.
