If you have a vehicle that no other mechanic can figure out take it to these guys. They will probably figure it out. We had three vehicles that had problems for years. Other mechanics said, "The car is just too old. Get rid of it." We had two vehicles where the problem was previous mechanics installed parts wrong. This last vehicle we took to them was a Chevy S10. Andy worked on my car and so far so good. He was able to rebuild/reseal the power steering pump instead of replacing it and saved me a good amount of money. So I took my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder into them for a overheat/coolant leak issue. Made an appointment next day Friday and was given the run down on all what they found. Car has well over 150,000 miles. Not only did they find the pesky coolant leak but also a few other problems as well. They did everything in their power to help me save money on these costly repairs. Cutting labor costs and combining them with other service to bring the car back to factory specs. So we agree on the price and Andy promised it wouldn't go above that and in fact if he can save money on labor elsewhere he will. Was told that the car will be ready no later by next week Thursday. Why did I get a call Monday late evening telling me my car was ready? Not only are these guys great when it comes to helping you out but they do everything they can do get your car back as fast as they can. We show up to pick up the car and Andy was great in showing us all the old parts and what was wrong with them. They where also able to save me another $100 and because they had to drain the AC they recharged it on their dime. About the only complaint I have is the fan clutch is loud as hell. I sound like a semi driving down the block. This isn't a problem with them because I decided to go with an aftermarket part to save money. Going to give it another month to see if it gets quieter if not I am going to have to foot the bill for a genuine Nissan part. Guess this is a common problem when using the afterrmarket fan clutches for my SUV. read more

Factory Specific is our go to mechanic for our Honda, Subaru and Lexus. We had a P2647 code on our Honda Element on our way home from Taahoe. I had done my own research on the Element Forum and just needed Khoi to confirm what needed to be done. Khoi called within a half of an hour of opening and advised what I already knew....VTEC switch stuck on ON, switch needs to be replaced as well as the O ring. Gave me a reasonable price for the parts/labor even checked the wiring which was out of scope of the work, I authorized the repair and came to pick up the car after work. Khoi gave mbe back the bad VTEC switch bag including the O ring in the OEM part bag the new parts came in. You read that right? OEM ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER from Honda...not some after market company providing cheap parts. Khoi explained again what had happened and that unfortunately they see it often on several models of Honda and there was nothing we could have done to prevent it, just a bad batch of vtec switches from Honda. It's the fact they see it often, know how to fix it and not charge you an arm and a leg for the work. Their knowledge and helpfulness deserves the trust from the customers. I was in Factory Specific last week as well b/c a mouse had chewed thru my wiring for my temp gauge to my dashboard in my Lexus.The diagnostic price was reasonable as well as the repair and I felt very confident leaving their store. Khoi and the team here are AMAZING. The first time I went into his shop (3-4 years ago now) the IMA light was on for my Civic Hybrid. He checked out the error code and said that if he did anything, it would wipe the code out, and sent me directly to Vacaville Honda to have it taken care of on warranty. It would have been a $2000 fix that was under warranty, so he wanted to make sure it was taken care of through Honda. His honesty comes before sales to him, and I come here whenever my car needs work. About to go back for more services. I was at a dealership a while ago and they told me my brakes needed to be replaced. I called Khoi's team and they let me know that the brakes weren't in need of replacement... and that I should come to them to let them at least give a second opinion since dealerships often oversell needs. It's hard to find reasonably priced and honest auto service shop. Every time I take my cars to them they not only do excellent service but also tell me what's not need to be done right now and can wait for another service cycle. My wife took one of our cars to a service place which had some coupon for oil change. They gave her a list of things which needed to be replaced "soon" and will cost more than $1,000. I took the same car to factory specific on next oil change and they told me none of these replacements are needed! I recommend them to everyone I know. read more

Love this place. They treat you like family and really care for your wellbeing. They made sure to get my car leak diagnosed and fixed promptly and gave me a ride home twice even tho its kinda far. They went out of their way to accomadate my schedule due to work. These guys don't play around they use high quality oem replacements and finish the job correct and on time. I own a 2006 Toyota Tundra. Bought it new and for seven years had the Toyota dealership in Vacaville service it. Finally got fed up with their upselling and switched to Factory Specific where I found their expertise and integrity second to none. I just had my second timing belt and water pump replaced since I am close to 200K miles. In addition I had a pulley, tensioner, and thermostat replaced too. Plus an oil change. We were on a long trip from the bay area and noticed some odd sounds and leaking coming from the passenger side of the engine. Being nowhere near home, we used yelp to find this shop. We walked in and they told us they were booked the entire day. We explained our problem, that we were out of town and just wanted to make sure we could complete our trip.
