Been coming to Valkyrie since they opened and it has only gotten better with time. Great space, though often times crowded, but an extremely efficient bar staff who always makes sure you are taken care of. Unusual rotating seasonal cocktail menu and they put the "craft" in craft cocktails. Slightly pricey, yes. Absolutely worth it, yes! Definitely one of my favorite bars in Tulsa. read more

Worst service Ever. Mixology Bar in Tulsa. Staff thinks they're better than you bc they're "mixologists" & not bartenders. Tipped the "bartender" $30 on a $45 tab. Wanted to adjust it. Bartender Said we were immature. Owner wouldn't let me adjust my tip. Not my tab which I didn't refute but my tip. Unheard of. NYC lifestyle in Tulsa. Not going to fly. Never been to a place where owner takes up For Their employee over a customer. Not even the fact that he favored his employee but his professionalism handling a stressful environment. Lighting is wonderful, industrial design and comfortable seating/sofas, lively (but chill) music. Friendly, fast service. My husband says that the liquor options are excellent. However, their customer service needs work. I'm not much of a drinker, so I asked for advice. He mentioned coconut cream, so that was my choice. My drink was served, and I could not taste coconut; it was very heavy on lime. I asked if they could top my drink off with the coconut mix. No. We can't change the recipe. Really? I wasn't asking for more booze. I was asking for a tablespoon or so of mix to balance the lime. Pretentious. The integrity of the drink over a very simple request of a customer. We won't be back. It consists of scotch, fernet branca, whiskey barrel aged bitters, and brown sugar cordial. I have a feeling this will be recreated at my house in the near future. I went to Valkyrie with a group of girls over Labor Day weekend. Despite that it was a Sunday night, Valkyrie had a lively atmosphere with friendly waiters. We had a booth to ourselves, which was great for conversation within our group. The staff was attentive and helped us make decisions about what we would like for drinks. Awesome beer and cocktail menus--many delicious concoctions, so hard to pick just one (so we didn't!)! Drinks are a little pricy for Tulsa ($10/cocktail), but fun for a special night out! read more

This place is fun to sit and watch mixologists work their magic. I tried an Old Fashioned and a Bloody Mary on different occasions, both were tasty. The intricacy of every drink I ordered was top notch, but what I really enjoyed was the diverse crowd and I was really impressed by the level of service by the bartenders. Despite the high ratings this place pretty much sucked. Not because of the drinks or quality but because our waiter was basically an ass. Ok I get the concept of choosing adjectives to create a special drink. However when your buddy requests no gin and the waiter/bartender does it anyway? Then for the second round we request "common" drinks say vodka and something he just says no we can't do that. Guess what? No second round for us. Interior and location are nice but our waiter bartender was a total douche. What happened to customer service? Won't be back. read more

I agree that this place is pretentious but if a bar can turn out drinks of this quality, they've deserved the right. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable & make excellent cocktails. My only complaint is that it does take a little longer to get said drinks but the caliber of cocktail that you receive far outweighs the wait time. I wouldn't come on a weekend evening if you are wanting to just throw some back quickly and it does get crowded. My favorite time to visit is on week nights or saturday afternoon so I can chit chat with the mixologists a little. Good little bar with great drinks. read more

Was looking for a place to have some drinks with my fiance while waiting for a concert at the Brady. Stumbled across Valkyrie Bar and I'm now set on what my pre-concert drinking establishment will be from now on. Valkyrie has a great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable bartenders and a great selection of beers on tap. My fiance ordered a couple cocktails (Planter's Punch and a Church) and provoked my jealousy with the simple beer I was drinking. The bartenders take their time making your drinks with fresh ingredients that I never knew had such profound effects on the taste, smell and look of the drink. My only slight con is that Valkyrie can be a pricey affair, but if quality is what you are after in your drinking then it will probably be worth it to you. Overall, a great bar and a great experience that I hope to repeat often in my concert going. read more
