I'm going to give my honest review. I went today 12/9 at 11:30 ish to pick up my order. Lady was super nice, I got to try all four salsa , verde tomatillo , red salsa, creamy guacamole and habanero ( my favorite). The reason for 4 stars is because WHOEVER MADE THE SALSAS PLEASE ADD SALT!!! Please!!!! I beg you. for the tacos: THOSE ARE EXACTLY THE KIND OF TORTILLAS FOR TACOS! Not white corn ! Those are terrible ! So I appreciate and love those tortillas they used. The pastor meat was delicious I loved it, the asada was not good. Please grill it , get some good flavor on it. It was gray and not much flavor going on. Because it's called asada for a reason. The burrito was good , again it was asada but the meat wasn't all that. You put too much beans , and I taste bacon fat in the beans. Idk why anyone would refry beans in bacon fat. Please stop doing that. Beans are delicious on its own. The tortilla was good , it wasn't that nasty mission flour type of tortilla. Overall , yes it was good just add salt to salsa and prepare the asada meat better. On a business trip but I wanted a low key dinner, non-chain, with food made to order. Building and interior is older, with an easy going feel. Menu was clear. You can do combos or à la cart . I thought the food was good. I also thought it was a good value for the money. Hot sauce bar was cool. Left the place full. Counter service was friendly. I would take my family here. It's open 24 hrs so I would come back for the breakfast Burritos. Or I guess I could get almost anything....in the morning, maybe? I wish I had a place like this near me. read more

The food was honestly terrible. The guacamole came out a strange, almost radioactive-looking cream color, and it tasted just as bad as it looked. The rolled tacos were clearly frozen beforehand--just dropped in the fryer--and the tortillas had an off flavor while the chicken inside was completely dry. The enchilada tortillas had a bizarre texture, looked greasy on the outside, and tasted slightly burnt. Every side dish that came with the meal was equally disappointing. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place altogether. Also for $80 I expected so much more from this restaurant in regards to quality. I love the menu here at Valerie's it has plenty of options and the food is always made fresh to order. Ephraim always has great service every time I go there. The salsa bar is great but if they added fresh limes that would be even better. The watermelon agua refrescha is the best flavor out of them all in my opinion. I would suggest changing the regular salads on the menu to taco salads with a shell bowl but still offer the meat options read more

I have been seeing this restaurant all over Facebook Euless page, I thought we'd give it a try. I wish we didn't. At first? It seemed almost good to be true: my boyfriend's burrito was perfectly wrapped and LARGE and my tacos came with GUACAMOLE! And a very large lime slices with what *seemed* to be pico sauce. I started on my shrimp enchiladas first, wonderful. No notes. The only reason this place is getting 3 stars to be honest. Once I bit into the tacos, disappointment set in. It was all one big flavorless bite. Mushy. The guac had no salt or lime juice. Bland. The "pico" was just tomato and onion. And the meat?!? Such a waste of perfectly good carne. It hurt me to not only scoop off the toppings but to then season my own tacos. Absolutely delectable and HUGE portions. My favorite has been the chorizo breakfast tacos. They're so packed that I had to start with a fork before I could even pick it up! My partner has loved the California burrito and the chorizo breakfast burrito. There is a self serve bar for the salsa inside with tasty options.. We've visited several times in the past month. I'm a sucker for a good sweet treat. There churritos with berry sauce were perfect! The berry sauce reminded me of a toaster strudel. Stopped by for dinner on a weeknight. It wasn't too busy. Most people seemed to be using the drive thru and not many dining in. Ordering is done at the counter. I ordered the California burrito and a carne asada quesadilla. When then called my order was ready, luckily I checked because it was only the burrito and no quesadilla. I waited around a few more minutes and finally was ready. The girl working the counter put a side of pico de gallo for me but put it in very sloppy so it's was knocked over in the bag and the liquid got everywhere. She was friendly, but just didn't seem like she cared about anything. Wasn't a huge fan of getting a bag of wet food. The food was decent. Flavors were good, but the carne asada in both the burrito and quesadilla was pretty dry. Wish it wasn't so well done. I would return, but maybe with lower expectations. read more

Disappointing I had carne Asada and Pollo Asada tacos soft traditional style not street tacos. The seasoning wasn't very good on either meat. And the guacamole was on the thin side and not very flavorful either. Service in the drive through was exceedingly slow with no one ahead of me in the line. I can't speak to the ambiance because it was a drive through visit. However, it is in a building that used to be a Taco Bueno and when I drive by this place (almost daily in the evening) the parking lot is relatively empty so I would guess the ambiance isn't much better than the food. Really disappointing because I wanted a close alternative the Taco Cabana near by that has falling off in quality. Maybe at 1.5 if I was allowed to rate it that way. The food is starting to taste old. The meat staled . I used to like it here, but the meat is overcooked. It tastes old now. Wanted to try Valerie's for the first time Friday 8/29 about 2p however two steps inside the door and the disgusting smell of a full grease trap or sewer problem quickly took over. Couldn't tell you if the food is good or bad but could never eat from an establishment that smells like that. I went to Valerie's the other day and the food was 10/10. I just went today 1/2/25 and it not up to par. My rolled tacos were cold the tacos don't even look edible. The cook this day was horrible. But on the 12/31/24 the cook was amazing and made my order great. I will go back but I will be leaving in the same cook that made my food today is there. My cravings today was not satisfied. The customer service is great, the taco I loved the most was carnitas. I had to add salt to the others . Too oily however and made me kind of sick. So if you have a sensitive stomach def be careful with the tacos. But other than that they were good read more

Food is fabulous and not expensive. You get a lot for your money. They are helpful with questions about the menu. The menu is extensive. I mean if you can check it out before you go or you might be standing and staring up a good while making sure you don't miss something. It's a GIANT selection! The chili rellano was the best I had ever eaten and I have eaten a lot before coming here. It is in a facility that was formerly a Taco Bueno. They offer discounts when you sign up for text messages. The only thing I can even think about saying that is negative is that when you order inside and get it to go make sure they give you the salsa if you order chips and salsa. Been here twice now. For anyone from San Diego and/or familiar with San Diego carne asada fries and taco shops, this is the place to go! So happy Euless has a legit taco shop (NOT tex mex). Their burritos are HUGE. For me, it's easily 2 meals. They have pickled carrots and jalapeños at the salsa bar...yummy! Carne asada fries were pretty close to what I remember in SD. We've been a few times in the last few weeks. Everything has tasted fresh and delicious. The portions are huge and prices are reasonable. Drive thru is open, just pull up to window to order. Some standouts have been the breakfast burritos, the el pastor burrito, carne asada quesadilla, aguas frescos, the corn tortilla rolled tacos (different from the flour tortilla flautas they also serve). Inside they have a salsa bar. The chips and guacamole are great- simple guac recipe and large portion, plus the chips were still warm when we arrived home with our food. The restaurant does seem like they were in a soft opening phase this past month, but the service was friendly and our orders were consistently accurate across several trips there. We will definitely be back to try the tortas and more soon. Happy to have a new spot this good in the area. read more
