    Carne asada street taco
    Dalia D.

I have been seeing this restaurant all over Facebook Euless page, I thought we'd give it a try. I wish we didn't. At first? It seemed almost good to be true: my boyfriend's burrito was perfectly wrapped and LARGE and my tacos came with GUACAMOLE! And a very large lime slices with what *seemed* to be pico sauce. I started on my shrimp enchiladas first, wonderful. No notes. The only reason this place is getting 3 stars to be honest. Once I bit into the tacos, disappointment set in. It was all one big flavorless bite. Mushy. The guac had no salt or lime juice. Bland. The "pico" was just tomato and onion. And the meat?!? Such a waste of perfectly good carne. It hurt me to not only scoop off the toppings but to then season my own tacos. I saw another review of another chef coming in, please please please someone introduce this staff to lime juice and salt or something. Save your money until they do.

Chorizo breakfast tacos with cheddar and no cojita

Absolutely delectable and HUGE portions. My favorite has been the chorizo breakfast tacos. They're so packed that I had to start with a fork before I could even pick it up! My partner has loved the California burrito and the chorizo breakfast burrito. There is a self serve bar for the salsa inside with tasty options.. We've visited several times in the past month. I'm a sucker for a good sweet treat. There churritos with berry sauce were perfect! The berry sauce reminded me of a toaster strudel. I've also been eyeing their horchata everytime I go pick up food.

Empty plante of Carne Assada Rice bowl.

I would show a picture of how pretty the carne assada Rice plate was, but eating it was the only thing in mind. It tasted so good! 20/10 Customer service was great, and the restaurant is clean and very pleasant.

    Carne Asada Quesadilla

Stopped by for dinner on a weeknight. It wasn't too busy. Most people seemed to be using the drive thru and not many dining in. Ordering is done at the counter. I ordered the California burrito and a carne asada quesadilla. When then called my order was ready, luckily I checked because it was only the burrito and no quesadilla. I waited around a few more minutes and finally was ready. The girl working the counter put a side of pico de gallo for me but put it in very sloppy so it's was knocked over in the bag and the liquid got everywhere. She was friendly, but just didn't seem like she cared about anything. Wasn't a huge fan of getting a bag of wet food. The food was decent. Flavors were good, but the carne asada in both the burrito and quesadilla was pretty dry. Wish it wasn't so well done. I would return, but maybe with lower expectations.

I love the menu here at Valerie's it has plenty of options and the food is always made fresh to order. Ephraim always has great service every time I go there. The salsa bar is great but if they added fresh limes that would be even better. The watermelon agua refrescha is the best flavor out of them all in my opinion. I would suggest changing the regular salads on the menu to taco salads with a shell bowl but still offer the meat options

    Carne Asada Chimichanga

Im a very picky Mexican food eater. This place exceeded my expectations. Very clean, friendly staff, great variety. And they have a free salads bar! My carne asada chimichanga was huge and very tasty! I'll definitely come back again.

"Flautas" more Like mini egg rolls, this is a total ripoff seriously, 3 flautas cut in half to make a 6 flauta plate really ?!

6 flauta plate.... More like you cut 3 and called it a six, horrible! How is this place still open!?

This is Ivis S he is THE MAN with his customer service!

I recieve amazing top notch customer service from Ivis S at this place EVERYTIME i come here. He makes this store better just by his service alone. I come here as opposed to other mexican food places because i know Ivis will take care of me.

    Conga burrito

I'm going to give my honest review. I went today 12/9 at 11:30 ish to pick up my order. Lady was super nice, I got to try all four salsa , verde tomatillo , red salsa, creamy guacamole and habanero ( my favorite). The reason for 4 stars is because WHOEVER MADE THE SALSAS PLEASE ADD SALT!!! Please!!!! I beg you. for the tacos: THOSE ARE EXACTLY THE KIND OF TORTILLAS FOR TACOS! Not white corn ! Those are terrible ! So I appreciate and love those tortillas they used. The pastor meat was delicious I loved it, the asada was not good. Please grill it , get some good flavor on it. It was gray and not much flavor going on. Because it's called asada for a reason. The burrito was good , again it was asada but the meat wasn't all that. You put too much beans , and I taste bacon fat in the beans. Idk why anyone would refry beans in bacon fat. Please stop doing that. Beans are delicious on its own. The tortilla was good , it wasn't that nasty mission flour type of tortilla. Overall , yes it was good just add salt to salsa and prepare the asada meat better. I'll go back , I'll probably get pastor since it was well seasoned and delicious. Please owner take it into consideration

    Drinks

1st time. Need to go back and try other items. Ordered rolled tacos no toppings Got the red and green sauce So not bad. I keep trying to get soft and not crispy rolled tacos... getting closer. Like I said I need to go back and try other stuff. I do like Roberto's rolled tacos and sauces better.

Remove all the gristle on the meat . It was too much in my burrito. I paid for extra meat and that is what the Extra was.

It's been awhile since I've ordered online and I didn't know Salata had an online order pickup area now. So I go in and sit at a nearby booth expecting the currently-empty pickup area to have my order put in it shortly. It was lunch rush, and they were hopping, so I expected a bit of a wait. After my 13 minute pickup window comes and goes, I decide to stand near the shelves looking purposeful in case I can get someone's attention. When I do so, an employee calls out asking if I have a pickup. Turns out my order had been waiting at the register end of their very long assembly line for who knows how long. How was I supposed to know? Why have an online order area if you're not going to use it? It felt like I had to a regular to know this magical info. Salata - My suggestion would be to fill in your online order shelving with something else useful and stick an "Online Pickup" ceiling sign over the registers so people know where to go. It tasted like it was made yesterday and was very over cooked. Either that or it was smoked salmon. I called and the person that answered just handed the phone to the manager mid sentence and she proceeded to tell me that they do not put out dry or over cooked salmon and that it was the glaze I was seeing. She said this several times. I explained that I've cooked salmon many, many times and would never serve over cooked and potentially say old salmon to a customer. Now I get why the salmon was buried under the salad greens and not sitting on top. Anyway, the manager did not handle the call very well in my opinion and seems to think that the food was likely perfect, because it's the pomegranate glaze that turns it brown. Haha. So, I've included pics so you can see it. It smells slightly fishy and is hard to the touch. The brown outside is that glaze that she thinks I was concerned with even though, I never mentioned color. I also have a video. Not sure I would go here again, or maybe I need to try another location next time. I have a video of me hitting the salmon with a fork and it sounds like I'm hitting a piece of wood. Also, Please train your managers better on how to professionally handle customer concerns.

Clean the espresso machine. My cappuccino tasted slightly burnt, which gives it that cardboard flavor, and serving a hot espresso drink in a paper cup does not help either. Hot milk and cardboard do not work well together. This is something that could easily be fixed and would make a real difference. Outside seating is very nice, covered and very clean. Cody was our server and he was courteous and lively, and overall we really liked the cozy vibe inside. Plenty of space inside for large groups and can be intimate enough for date night too. We ordered the spicy calamari, a Caesar salad, and a pasta sampler to share. First, the complimentary garlic rolls came out, and they might have been my favorite part of the meal. Incredibly buttery, soft, and flavorful. The calamari had a nice batter and savoriness but my girlfriend noted that the green onion garnish tasted off and seem spoiled. We let Cody know and he hopefully relayed that to the chef to let them know. The Caesar salad was pretty typical but enjoyable nonetheless. We got the pasta sampler and the first thing I noticed was that the sauce tasted pretty one dimensional and a bit too sweet for my liking. I'm no Italian food expert but I found it to be at the same level as canned sauces. The cheese fillings and pasta themselves were pretty good and there no complaints there. The meatball also suffered from being a bit bland and had the same problem with the sauce. Maybe it was just an off day, and I do understand they are a family business. Hoping that if I try dining here again I'll have a much better experience than this one.
