Here's a firm review you can post: I was really disappointed with the pricing at this nail salon. I came in for what I expected to be a simple polish change, and I was charged $27 for a gel polish change on my hands and $32 for my toes. On top of that, there were additional charges, bringing my total to $73. I understand that gel services can cost more than regular polish, but $59 just for gel polish changes on hands and toes feels excessive, especially considering this wasn't a full manicure or pedicure. I wish the pricing had been made much clearer beforehand because I would not have agreed to the service at that price. Really did not have expectations going into V. Nails but I was in the plaza and needed a mani/pedi. Walked in and Helen was able to take me right away. I have to say she gave me a great manicure. She took her time and made sure my cuticles were trimmed and nails filed perfectly. Since I just took off acrylics my nails were a wreck so I did not opt for polish as to let my nails heal some. After my mani my nails looked clean and healthy. Although the massage was lacking my pedicure was pretty good. Feet scrubbed, toes painted perfectly. Very pleased with my visit. read more

Here today for my pedicure aa usual. I have gone elsewhere with a family member, but ALWAYS return to my trusted, tried and true. Others may feel different, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I actually had an appointment yesterday, (Thursday), but the salon called me in plenty of time to advise that there was an emergency with my tech and if I wanted to reschedule with her or have someone else. I appreciated that they gave me the option, but of course, my tech is well-versed in my needs and, I don't even have to say anything to her. She just KNOWS, which makes it great for me! Do not recommend. I got my nails done with dip by Helen and it good for the most part. I went to get my nails done for an anticipated proposal by my boyfriend. Not even 24 hours later but my middle nails chipped. I don't know what kind of dip they use but it was crappy. I went back a couple days later to get it fixed and I asked the front they already knew who I had maybe because Helen is known for this?? They fixed for free of charge but I felt like she was rushing a bit since she had another customer waiting for her. I used to love this place. I had been going here for over 10 years. They even did my nails for my wedding! I would recommend this place to all my friends until recently. The service has gone down and the prices wayyyy up! It was probably the worst pedicure I've ever gotten... I don't know the ladies name who did it. It was just so rushed. She didn't take time to cut the cuticles and barely scrubbed my feet... the massage with the lotion was maybe 10 seconds. And it wasn't a massage, she was just rubbing it on my skin. All the workers were just talking to each other very loud. One of the employees even walked in and yelled how bad traffic was for her this morning... Not enjoyable for one minute. I attempted to get a basic fill. Helen destroyed my cuticles and left three of my nails bleeding. She then attempted to put nail glue to stop the bleeding. I was in complete shock. I spoke to the manager and she did not offer any compensation or remorse . In addition, they over charge for the poor work and lack of customer service . I will NOT reccomend this place. read more

I asked for almond shape nails, bubble bath color (pretty easy right?). Anyways the lady's name was Helen. She was so harsh with her handling of me and rushed. So this was my First time here, they didn't do my nails the color I showed them or style and both ladies that did my hands and feet were extremely ruff. They burnt the skin around my nails with the electric file multiple times, I was actually surprised how ruff they were being. People literally were yelling to get her attention so they could pay and leave - she was on her cell phone and did not care AT ALL that 3 people were waiting to pay. Wow, I will never go back here again, regardless of the fact that I could literally walk to the place. I came in a couple of weeks ago to get a french gel manicure, a recently developed habit after I discovered how long they last. They usually last about two weeks. Not here. My gels were peeling after TWO DAYS. They all peeled off in three. It's never that easy to take gels off, usually you have to get them removed. Since $30 is exactly cheap for gels I of course went back to explain what happened. I initially went in for a refund because I did not want to get the same product and two days later have them peel again. The lady at the counter convinced me that another girl would redo the whole thing for free. I agreed, assuming I would at least be getting what I paid for. First of all, the first time I got them done, they looked OK. The lady didn't speak any English so I couldn't communicate to her what I wanted. She was nice and thorough but it really doesn't matter because they all peeled off in days. When I came in and spoke to the lady who promised me the free manicure (I'm assuming the "manager"), she was not happy at all that I was back. It was nothing but dirty looks from there on out. By the way, this is one of those nail salons where they talk to each other from across the room (in Vietnamese in this case), and I am almost 100% sure she was talking crap about me because of her hand gestures and dirty looks. She sat me down at a small table attached to the front desk. She did not even file my nails! My nails were all different lengths when I came in. The manicure looks ridiculous, all she did was make the french tip really thick to compensate for different length nails. She didn't soak or cut my cuticles, nothing. She just started applying polish. I knew there was no point in saying anything, because she would have just argued with me on it. She would also leave leave while my nails were drying under the UV ray, and when the machine would beep I would have to wait for her to come back whenever she was done with what she was doing to continue my manicure. On top of that, she was rough and would just tug at the finger or hand she was going to work on next. I felt completely rushed and uncomfortable. Aside from her being totally rude, the place is dirty and the equipment they use is really outdated. The UV light machine they use to harden my gels was ancient, and I had to keep my hands under there for a really long time, which burns your skin after a while. Plus, she didn't even let me do my fingers first, and then the thumb to ensure it hardens evenly. Just made me put my whole hand in there at once and I had to try to move it around to make sure my thumbs were covered. Overall, this was a completely missed opportunity. I do not understand why she would even offer the free manicure if she was going to treat me like crap and do a terrible job, because now not only am I never going back, but I just have to let others knows to beware. This place is totally not worth it, I know they offer cheap services but the service and product is absolutely terrible. Big waste of money. How do I start? I suffer from chronic plaque psoriasis, and have no infections or open wounds... It's just not aesthetically pleasing. Every salon that I have ever been in..( from New York, Miami, Los Angeles) I always preemptively notify the nail tech. This is an attempt to calm ignorant fears. I was received with a SCALDING hot foot soak and high school type whispering and finger pointing from TWO nail techs, speaking in their mother tongue. I confronted her and she said she was concerned for her other clients. HA! They all wear gloves and I informed them that as a practicing medical doctor I was fully aware that it is not normal to look at but it certainly was not infectious. I always take my fellow yelpers reviews into mind when visiting a location for the first time.. That said, I know there's always three sides to a story and after being referred here by a good friend I decided to give this, previously one star, establishment a try. We had an appointment and even though they were packed, they still got us right in (which is not always the case even with an appointment) so I was quite happy about that. On top of that they had two chairs right next to each other, which when a salon is packed is not always the case, again regardless of appointment status. So right off the bat this salon deserves more than one star in my book. That said, the massage for the pedicure was minimal and nonexistent for the manicure plus they didnt buff the unpolished nails. But they had massage-back chairs, the service was quick, efficient, the price was right and the staff was just as friendly as they needed to be for the venue. The moon and the stars must have aligned for me that day. I made an appointment over the phone for a mani pedi the next morning. I was placed with Jason for my manicure. He took his time on my cuticles and did a fab job! I was surprised at how much he cut back. Most nail techs barely even make a difference. Ask for him and you'll be glad you did. This is the worst nail salon ever. My friends and I went together and got acrylic nails together and I don't remember the lady's name but She made me pay a extra 2 dollar fee because of a "nail tech fee" and my friends said they didn't pay a extra 2 dollars and it's not that I'm complaining about 2 dollars bc it isn't a big deal but to some others it might be and not that but that's not how it works. (My friends didn't pay the extra 2 dollars and we all got the same thing) Also she was taking off my current fake nails with this tool that lifts the fake nail off and that isn't how u take the fake nail off u wrap it in foil and nail polish remover for like 5/10 min and it softens it. But that tool that she used cut my real nail and it started to bleed and when I said ouch she kept going and didn't care. I was about to just get up and walk out but I didn't bc I was having a fun time with the quality time I was spending with my friends. But, that shouldn't be the case at any nail salon they should make u want to stay and make sure that they aren't hurting u. There are way better nail salons out there then this. This review is meant for the owner of V Nails as he/she may not be aware of a practice at the salon that will result in the loss of a customer due to a bad experience and a bad review. I had an appointment for a gel manicure, which should cost $25, but because I had the Next Gen prior I was also charged a $5 fee to remove the nail. The explanation I received was that it takes time to soak my nails in acetone and there for it is time spent without helping other customer. I ended up paying for the $30 manicure instead of what I was initially informed that it would cost me. I expressed my concerns and disagreement to the person at the front desk hoping he would understand that this "fee" is non-sense since I would have to go through the same nail polish removal process if I had gel polish and was coming for my regular visit. The time spent is the same, if not a even longer process since the next gen product comes out entirely without having to be scrapped. Also, while I soaked up, the nail tech was able to do a mani and pedi on a child. This is why I giving the salon a bad review, for not setting the expectations up front. read more

Even after seeig me she did not say 'hello' Her husband had to walk up and great me. I've been to this nail salon a couple of times. My last visit was horrible. The lady who did my nails is the lady that sits at the front (her nail station is literally right next to the reception desk) . She did my fill so bad. It took her over 45 minutes to do a FILL! She kept getting up to talk to the employees, laughed and made jokes while I sat there and waited. Before she even got started on my nails she was on her phone for a while. She was constantly getting up to take customers payments and money than proceeded to do my nails (which I felt was unsanitary). She was rude to other customers. Even messed up on a lady's payment. She over charged her card and didn't even say sorry. My nails look hideous. They're uneven. The paint job sucks. I like the salon and the prices. The other people that did my nails previous to my last visit were amazing. If you go just make sure you avoid the front desk lady. Other than that it's a decent salon.
