Worst service ever!!!!!!!!. I was looking for a mani and pedicure and I decided to do a little bit of research since I was hoping to find a groupon. I'm in a tight budget since Im a maid of honor in a wedding coming up. I call the salon and Michelle the receptionist assure me that they would take both groupons and do the service.After getting out of work early to make it to the appointment, I arrive at the salon and the owner ( I think that's who she was) told me that she doesn't take groupons anymore, because they steal money from her etc and that it was the mistake of the receptionist. I explain the situation to her that I called and I made sure of all the terms before I even bought the groupon and made the appoinment. She just tells me to get a refund from groupon. She tells me she has someone ready but I ask her if at least a discount or something would be applied because the groupon was a special price, I tried to show her how much they were and she respond i know what the groupon said I put them there she adds.Then she says that it would full price. I said no thank you and left.I cannot believe this person has their own salon. What happened to make it right with the customer?. It was not my mistake. Yes the receptionist did not know but that your staff train them better or be responsible for your business. I was so upset I report it to groupon. This is a really nice spot! It's in a strip mall so parking can be limited when the other businesses are also open. The inside is well spaced and clean. Instead of nail scrapers or cuticle cutters for manicures they use a nail bit which is more gentle on the nail but the different file heads are stored in a small box so they are not sanitized before or after use. There is a really big selection of polish colors to choose from from all the big brands like Essie, OPI, CND, etc. The dip polish lasted almost 4 weeks before I got it redone without a single chip or crack, so definitely worth the cost. The prices were pretty standard, but on the slightly more expensive end compared to other salons. They do charge an additional $5 to remove gel or dip manicures which is not typical for salons in this area. $40 for a dip manicure $27 for a regular pedicure read more

The place is nice and clean. Upon entering they asked for you to go straight to the back and wash your hands. I had an appointment so I was set up immediately to start my pedicure. They have a variety of color choices for your choosing. My tech didn't speak too much English but there was another lady close by to answer when I did have a question. I saw a review that said they offered drinks so I was pretty excited about that. I wasn't offered anything so I'm not sure if that changed. For the price of the services, a little bubbly would've been nice. My toes were painted after cleaning cuticles and such but there was no scrubbing. Then once done, the lady puts this scrub on my leg and did a bit of scrubbing once I pointed to my heel. Maybe that's the process here. Anyway, I'm glad the scrub was not completely forgotten. Nail salons tend to charge a lot for nail services even for a basic mani/pedicure. Which is understandable given certain amenities: wine/drinks, cleanliness, and overall talent of nail artists. Unfortunately, this nail salon charges the upscale price and doesn't have any quality features. At first glance this place seems to be somewhat cleaner than other places I've been too. The color selection is rather underwhelming. They do however, have the new OPI Mexico collection but that's the only collection they have. Whereas many other places I have been to will carry OPI staples (e.g., Funny Bunny, Lincoln Park After Dark, etc) and/or carry multiple recent collections (e.g., Hello Kitty, Scotland). My manicure was okay. She didn't ask how I wanted my nails shaped and she wanted to use a drill to remove my cuticles and didn't ask me prior and that's big NO for me. My pedicure was one of the worst I've had. I'm not sure my nails were filed into any kind of shape. The cuticle remover was not applied to my toes and my cuticles were not trimmed, just pushed back. The polish around my toes were not properly removed. She barely scrubbed the heels of my feet. I had to go home and shape own toes and remove the excess polish. I've had much better service at other places and this salon doesn't justify its price even at its discount (20% off services for first customers; $32 for mani/pedi). Will not be returning! read more

There is not one bad thing I can say about my visit to Nails West Bar! I called at 10am on a Saturday and they were able to accommodate my appt the same day within an hour for a fill and a pedicure. I came here because I went to another local nail salon and was not happy with the outcome of my full set of ombré dip nails. Huan at Nails West was able to tell me the issue and I ended up getting an entirely new full set of acrylics with an almond shape and French polish. It is EXACTLY what I wanted and I cannot be any happier with the outcome. I'm addition, the young lady who did my pedicure was very gentle and I was very impressed with her as well. UPDATE: got my nails removed and they were MMA WHICH IS ILLEGAL DO NOT GO HERE. went here because the photos looked great, place was clean however this was the most painful nail appointment i've had. i got an acrylic fill and not sure what happened but my nails were BURNING and whenever he held the fingers they hurt and when he would file them the pain was so bad i felt sick. when i told him all he did was spray some water on them which only helped for a couple seconds. i had to get burn cream afterwards to soothe my fingers. the acrylic is bumpy and the shaping is crooked, it doesn't even look like the prep was done correctly because i can see the lifting from the previous set. cindy had to come save my nails at the end and do the design properly. there were also so many add on prices that i wasn't told about either. i live the design on my nails but i don't think i can return because of the pain i felt during my appointment. update: i have never had problems with my nails breaking and i've had nails much longer than these. i've broken 2 nails from simple things like putting on my shoes. NEVER have i had nails this weak. the acrylic was done so poorly that it just cracks and breaks incredibly easy. needless to say i will not be returning. read more

Terrible, my nails were a joke and I had cuts all over my skin. I feel like they obviously only post one of the nail techs work to look good. Outrageous prices they charge extra for every little thing for a bad job. I've never written a bad review and I never show my emotion if I don't like something but I couldn't even hide it here I wanted to cry from how pissed I was. I still had to pay for unfinished work and the shaping of my nails were terrible. There was no proper nail prep and he couldn't even bother to do my cuticles either. My nails weren't even almond shape they were thick oval shapes can't see from the picture too well and there was lint all trapped in them too.The guy was so rough with me too and didn't seem to care and I still tipped him because I felt bad even tho it wasn't deserved. I had to rush home before work to file all my nails down to the natural length and had to pain over them. It was a utter waste of time and money. They wanted me to come back and my guess was because they didn't want bad ratings but wanted me to fix the design only with the nail tech that does now hoe to do them which if you knew I was going in for that then why would you put me with someone that clearly doesn't do a good job sorry to say. They even knew the French tip was terrible and I didn't even tell them that that was the problem and apparently a lot of other ppl had the same problem too. I also removed my nails and they took hours to soak off and file, they were unbelievably gummy and sticky I was scared for my nails. Clearly MMA let's be real. She seemed confused as if she wasn't expecting me. She was rude and unhelpful when I asked about colors. She went to the back and came out 10 minutes later, still quite rude. What a beautiful salon! A pair of sisters recently took over this location. Completely renovated, very clean, and great nail techs! I got a dip mani and regular pedi for $62 which is a very normal price. However, if it's your first time in (and it was mine) you get 20% off! They have hundreds of colors to choose from and they have matching colors for the dip powder. Most places you have to match them yourself.
