God forbid you have an emergency, cannot call immediately to cancel the appointment before the owner calls you to tell you that you are disrespectful because you didn't call before. We woke up this morning to our laundry room/garage being flooded from a pipe that had burst (we just moved into this house maybe a few weeks ago?) and we needed to handle that emergency first which took ALL freaking day and the owner called me to basically insult me as if I have been disrespectful of the technicians time repeatedly. The plumber has been here since the morning dealing with this, we had to run to Home Depot to get material he needed and make sure we could leave knowing our home would not be flooded by the time we got back, I had confirmed the appointment at 2:19PM after asking the plumber how much longer it would be and him telling me he was about to be done so I thought the job was going to be done on time for us to get to the salon which did not happen so I told my fiancé to call and notify them of this. Then I was met with Steven calling me to tell me off, what kind of business owner are you? What is wrong in your head that you think it is ever ok to call a client who makes sure to tip YOUR employees well in that manner and say that you won't take any more appointments from me? Needless to say we will not be booking again out of respect for Kevin and his time not because of the owner calling in the manner he did but simply because I also do not like my time being wasted and I completely understand how this could've impacted Kevin, I made sure to apologize. Before that I have my fiancé the phone number to the salon and asked him to call while it was still 2:30PM to let them know we needed to reschedule, the owner did not rescheduled and instead called me to tell me I was disrespectful and to never come back to his salon again. Up until today I had been extremely happy with the customer service, the way the staff works and most of all with the way Kevin took care of my nails but after that interaction with Steven (the owner) today I sincerely cannot even believe he would behave in such a manner like calling a customer without at least inquiring what the reason for the cancellation was before going off on them. I used to go here all the time and they did a great job with all my other nails, today I went to go do my birthday nails, when I got there, I told her exactly what I wanted in a picture form from what I had previously done before. I showed her the photo and she said that she could do it just like that, she showed me the color that would match perfectly and I said OK. When she put it on my nails, it was way lighter than the color that I originally wanted, when she was putting on the tips, I asked her to file it down because it was too long and to file the sides because it was too thick. Said no to both saying that it was too late and that she couldn't do anything about it. Felt super unseen in the moment and at the end, I ended up going home and spending an hour filing my own nails horrible experience. read more

I've been here twice with my mom - once for regular manicures and once for regular gel manicure - and were very impressed both times! The staff and techs are friendly, the space is clean and the prices are reasonable for the area. They also provide quick and talented service without feeling like you're being pushed out, which I love - we're all busy but still want a relaxing experience! Plus, great attention to detail by the technicians - shout out to Peter who did such a great job on my gel mani. You do have to pay via Venmo or Zelle (no cards) so be prepared for that. I came here once about 5 years ago, something bothered me then but I decided to give Red Nails another chance and I've been seeing good reviews. I was hopeful that I would have a pleasant experience. My manicure was fine. The salon has had a total makeover and looks quite nice. Prices are higher compared to other salons in the area. I don't mind paying a higher price point if the service is good and I feel comfortable. What bothered me years ago, is the exact same thing that bothered me on this visit. It has to do with the perception of sterilized tools. When I see a nail tech take a cuticle nipper out of her personal tool kit and it isn't in one of those sealed packages I assume they are going to wipe it down with alcohol. When they don't do this and then place it back in the same box after using it, I cringe. It's the thought of not knowing 100% if it was clean or not. IMO cleanliness and hygiene are top priorities, especially when it comes to personal care services in a nail salon. The perception of sterilized tools is crucial for the peace of mind of customers. read more

As a long time customer I'm very disappointed in the discrepancy in price. I just paid $80 for French dip which is absolutely absurd. The last time I got the same exact thing it was $70. My nails came out great and I love the lady I go to but the price changes every time. The girl at the front desk told me French dip is $60 but then their sign says $55. Then they charge me $5 for "long nails" when I didn't get tips and she also clipped my nails to a shorter length. Charged $5 for shape. I've been coming to this nail salon for over 10 years and have never paid this much for French dip. Very disappointed and not sure if I'll return. Which is sad because I love this salon but they need to get there pricing straightened out. Maybe I'm overreacting... but $80 for French dip??? read more

Ive gone to red nails many times and have gone to many techs, my latest gel mani from Lisa was fabulous! She made the experience very fun and enjoyable and did great work. The French is very even and delicate, the polish is not thick or glopy, it smooth and even. Two weeks later, after a Christmas cruise, beach time, cooking, opening gifts and playing with my two kids; my nails still look great! And the studio remodel looks great, very hip and upscale. The prices have gone up but with inflation the way it is it's not really their fault. I'll be back to Lisa again, maybe not as frequently due to budget but at least this manicure was worth it! read more

This is our family's regular spot for manicures and pedicures. There's a reason we keep coming back. For starters, the staff here are phenomenal. They are polite, happy to serve, and good to talk to. They listen to you and everything you have to say. The massage chairs here are the BEST in the area. They not only massage the back and neck, but also the butt and arms! It's the most relaxed I've felt in a very long time. As for covid measures, they've got it covered! Customers are required to wear masks. Staff wears masks and gloves. There is hand sanitizer at the front. We even witnessed them sanitizing the seats in between customers. They also took our temperatures before leading us to the pedicure chairs. They are not accepting credit cards right now. They like you to pay with Zelle. But tip with cash. Overall, we will continue to go back. read more

I do not ever leave poor reviews but this was ridiculous. I walked in at 6:58 to get my nails done when they close at 7:30 and they would not let me and said it was too close to closing time. This is nowhere on their website or on the door. I had to show proof of the last time I came in and gave them business as I always get off at 7pm and this has never been a problem. The front desk was very rude to me and said that I have to come in at 6:30 to get my nails done (a full hour before close). Put on your website you close at 6:30 then, not 7:30. read more

I have been getting manicures for the last twenty years. Beside from being a soft spoken person , I am well aware of salon etiquette. I received a business phone call during my service- my end of the conversation consisted of a " yes , ok , I know." The technician ( Trish) said to me " get off your phone you're giving me a headache ." For sure I thought she must have been joking to my surprise she was not. She abruptly threw my hand down when I didn't get off the phone ( important business phone call ) to the point where I for sure will have a black and blue. I was told by the manager " she doesn't understand it's a language barrier. Poor excuse - no matter what language you speak being aggressive yelling and getting physical is unacceptable. I left a message for the owner to contact me as this behavior should not be allowed . Nothing no call no concern. Let me add several other people were on their phones , watching movies I might add and she singled me out perhaps because of my ethnicity? Just like everyone else I too am a paying customer who wanted a relaxing experience not to get physically and verbally abused by an employee. I saw my friends nails and instantly had to know where she got it done and she recommended Red Nails with Katie. Katie was very kind and quick and efficient. I like that she separated the dip in different cups to make sure she wasn't dipping my fingers in the same pot as everyone else. Well, my wife made an appointment today, 23 April 2023 for 2pm. She received a call to come in earlier and she did. The mani-pedi was adequate; the customer service as exemplified by the person who stated he was the owner was not, and extremely so. 1. My wife still had to wait. Not so bad, as many places overbook and understaff. 2. The operator was timined and the owner told my wife that SHE took too long. This is unacceptable and inexcusable. 3. My wife paid with her debit card, as she usually does. She was told then and not before that, "cash only." 4. The owner eventually accepted the debit card and processed it through Square. He refused to provide a printed receipt. I received a text message with a website to access the receipt!? How the H%ll does Square keep my personal telephone number? I do not have an account with them. Conclusions: the owner lied, was rude and inconsiderate, and had an anti-customer attitude. My wife will not be returning there. I took some time to think about this before leaving a review but I couldn't let it go. I wanted to make an appointment where my friend and I could get our nails done at the same time and on the phone I was told that's totally fine. We came in, someone got started on my friend almost right away and I sat and waited, needing dip removed from my nails and hoping to get started at the same time so we can leave together. Well I waited around 10-15 min and then went to the front desk and had to ASK to have someone at least get the dip off so when someone was ready for me I could get started. They put the remover on and I sat for another 15min or so and had to return to the desk again to see if anyone was ready to take me. At this point my friend already had 1 hand done. So finally someone site with me, IMMEDIATELY takes a phone call and walks away without saying anything. I say for 3-5 min waiting and had to return to the desk again and say can I have someone else? And at this point my friend was pretty much done so I told them I will not have them put dip back on my nails. I asked for a clear gel coat to make sure my nails would be okay until I could get an appointment with my regular technician. The receptionist had a very strange attitude with me, especially considering she could tell that I was not being taken care of. And the place was also very very dirty, however they are clearly renovating so I will give that a pass but still. Skip this place at all costs. I forgot to add, she made me pay with Zelle and would not take my card so they are also doing some shady tax stuff as well. read more

I've tried given this place a few chances. I used to come before covid and had a great nail tech. Now, they are just so rude here. Almost mean. They rush you choosing a color, even if you arrive early. No smile, and they rush through the service. Gel mani was 18 minutes in and out . She scraped the soaked gel nail so hard it hurt. I had come in prepared my next visit with my color already chosen (one I used 2 weeks prior). When I asked for it, she was annoyed that I didn't know the number only the name. She went to get it and brought them to me in the pedicure chair, and it was not the color. So I said oh this isn't it, and repeated the name - she replied- we don't have it. I'm like so you tried sneaking a different similar color ? I was confused how they didn't have it any longer and turned out a staff member took a lot of the OPI home to reorganize them? Then they were frustrated w me for now not knowing what color I wanted. A previous visit was even worse, and turned out it was the owners sister. Moreover, their color selection is mayhem. Nothing matches. They charge extra for a whole wall of OPI polish(but don't disclose this) however they don't have the gel to match any of them. They get annoyed when you ask to see the color. Previously they would text to confirm and that went away. They run low in colors and then fill with thinner to liquify remains ( seen this done personally on two occasions). Today 4 hours ahead of scheduled service to reschedule and no answer or ability to leave message. Received text 5 minutes after appointment from Steven saying I would no longer be able to book future appointments due to cancellation. I loved her attention to detail! She did not rush through the job, and she made sure all nails were filed even, cuticles cut, and polish applied beautifully. I have replied STOP to unsubscribe to their unsolicited marketing (appears to be run by TapMango) on three separate occasions, but continue to receive unwanted text messages. The TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) explicitly states that you must get consent--in writing--before sending commercial text messages to any customer. The TCPA helps protect consumers from robotexts and spam. Fines for texting customers without permission can be as high as $18,936 per violation. Maybe they'll stop texting me now or talk to their marketing company to avoid paying significant fines. read more
