Love this place, easy parking and bathrooms insides also it's by a delicious cookie store that has GF cookies!!!! Amazing experience every time. I use Alessia and she's amazing. I get a full Brazilian there and she does a flawless and very quick job. She's super fun to talk to that it feels like catching up with a friend! Super friendly and nice and they are super good about getting me in. My schedule is everywhere as a flight attendant but I try to be as consistent as possible and would rather wait a few weeks than go to anyone else. Highly recommend! read more

I found this place online and was enticed because of their 50% off deal for new customers. The regular price for an eyebrow wax is $22 (which I think is super high), but was willing to try it out for the $11. I made my appointment online, and the process was really easy. I was able to get in the same day, and even though I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, I was seen right away after filling out the forms. I was initially impressed with the location. It was clean, well-lit, and the staff was very friendly. I was taken back to one of the rooms, and my esthetician let me know the process. I liked that they use the self removing wax, meaning there were no strips of cloth used to take off the wax. I have sensitive skin, so I usually fair way better with this system. After the wax was done, I wasn't super happy with the results. She missed a lot of the hair on the top of my brow, and she colored them (didn't know that was a part of) way too dark. After leaving, I noticed that the front desk lady did not give me the 50% discount. I called the location, and the manager was able to refund me my money over the phone. Overall, wasn't too impressed with this place, and won't be back to pay full price. read more

After saying bye-bye to the Maui Spa, I needed a new place to have my waxing done & I needed it done pretty fast because my mustache was making me look like a boy. Naturally I Yelped it & like magic Waxing The City appeared on my phone. I read the reviews & gave them a call. It turns out they have been here in Boca for about two years. Located directly behind Starbucks & Brewzzi, I was thrilled because their location is ideal for me. Waxing The City is not only immaculate, but it's also designed really well. Not all girly, because men come in here to get their "manscaping" done. For men who are not familiar with the term, please let me explain-"Manscaping" is defined as a mans grooming of his body hair. Like landscaping, but for the body. Let me make this simple, if you have a ton of hair on your back, maybe this would be a good idea. Or perhaps, a male version of a bikini wax might be appreciated by your S/O, since most woman do not enjoy hairy "you know what", (the things you bounce). Just saying... :) When I called to book my appointment I spoke with Shi & she answered all of my questions & gave me great directions. When I met her she was just as friendly & just a nice person in general. Barbara did my waxing & I will be seeing her on a regular basis. She is amazing & very gentle, not to mention she did an exceptional job on my brows & managed to get rid of my mustache so I no longer look like a boy. I am looking forward to seeing her in a few weeks. Waxing The City is a franchise that was founded in Denver back in 2003. Yelp has a check-in offer for 50% off your first service. Great value considering a lip/brow shaping is just $30.00 & that is a lot less than what I was paying at my previous place. They are not pushy & did not try to sell me anything; although if you prepay for services, the prices go down. They use Hard Wax (ceranaranja) which I have never heard of before. It is a custom formulated wax that is manufactured in Spain, exclusively for them. It is not applied with the traditional strips most places use. Barbara applied the wax & then she simply peeled the wax off. It didn't sting as much as regular wax because it softens your skin which makes the process much more comfortable. I'm not going to lie & say is does not sting at all, but I will say it stings a LOT less than traditional wax. This special wax is for sensitive areas (face, bikini etc) & they also have the traditional Golden wax for very hairy large areas; backs, chest etc. I cant help but think of the Sex & The City episode when Harry removed his shirt at a beach party in the Hamptons & Charlotte was mortified because he looked like a gorilla. Such a great show & that was a great episode too. Check out was a breeze & Shi did not ask to see my phone when I mentioned the 50% off Yelp offer. I was also offered & I greatly appreciated the complementary bottle of water. That was a nice touch. Hands down, the best place for ALL of your waxing needs for both men & woman. read more

I recently discovered this place and love it. I was going somewhere else but wasn't super happy there so I gave this place a try. I liked the vibe and the girl who did my wax did a great job ! IN 1 LINE: Smoooooth waxing experience and great customer service! FIRST TIME: Let me begin by saying this was not only my first time at this location, but my first time being waxed. I have always gotten my eyebrows threaded but was ready to try something new after hearing about a friend's review. I went in a bit nervous (not going to lie), but I left saying, "that was so easy!" My eyebrow waxing was quick and painless. *First visit is half off as well! CUSTOMER SERVICE: When I walked in for my appointment, the receptionist already knew my name and greeted me. She asked me to fill out a form for my first visit, and reassured me that I was in good hands. My aesthetician (cerologist) was Lauren Y. I told her it was my first time, and she talked to me the whole time to make me feel more comfortable. It didn't hurt one bit! I can't believe I've been getting my eyebrows threaded all this time. CLEANLINESS: The salon is made up of many treatment rooms, and upon entering, the first thing I noticed was how clean it was. There was a covering on the waxing bed, and the room was brightly lit. Also, after the waxing, antiseptic gel was applied. Thank you, Lauren, for a great first-time experience! read more

I cannot say how amazing this place is. I was a loyal European wax girl until they burnt me during my last wax. Waxing the City was so wonderful, Holly was my esthetician and she was fantastic. I wasn't red after nor did i have any irritation. I'm so impressed that i will be sending everyone here . They are so personal and welcoming. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

Very good quality waxing! Before I begin my review I must say that anytime I have waxed any part of my body it is a tear jerking experience. However, this place is so amazing. They even have numbing lotion for sale that can be placed on the area being waxed about 30 mins before the appointment to help with the pain. However, my favorite person there is Sandra. She did such an amazing job. She took her time and helped me through the pain of my waxing experience. She made it easy for me to say I can make it. It was wonderful and I will definitely be a regular customer! Thank you Sandra read more

I had my eyebrows waxed at Waxing the City and I brought my 14 year old daughter to get her eyebrows waxed for the first time. We both had appointments with Maria. I walked in one day to check it out as I have never done waxing before and I loved the front desk staff she was very convincing and nice she said she was going to book me with Fabiana because she is very gentle . I came in for my appt and booked with someone else but didn't notice that till after when the tech gave me her card. She was very nice and made me feel very very comfortable we had great convos to keep me occupied. Only thing I noticed when I got home was a lot of hair was left . There were some spots with patches. I will give them another shot but will venture out to try some of the other ladies as I had mentioned it was my first time. Will call them tomorrow to have them fix. Update : went back they gave me no issues and where so accommodating and very sweet. Definitely recommend. Will change to 5 stars!! read more

Highly recommend Waxing The City! I had an appointment with Sandra. She was very kind and extremely thorough with the waxing/tweezing. It was also a relatively painfree experience. A few days after my appointment, the owner, Steve, called to check in on how my experience was, which I felt was incredibly thoughtful. I'll definitely continue seeing Sandra and highly recommend this business to others! read more

Don't waste your time or money with an eyelash lift. I just did it and although the girl who did it was lovely, it burned my eyes for a long time and it made absolutely no "lift" to my eyelashes. Plus the tinting was weak. Save your money and just pay $35.00 to get your eyelashes tinted. I experimented and it's very false advertising. You will look like nothing in the pictures they use to promote it... read more

Great experience. Lenna was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. Reasonable pricing. Would definitely recommend.

I got a wild hair (he he) and lost my waxginity at Waxing the City in Boca while visiting Palm Beach County. They are so organized, friendly, helpful and the place is modern, comfortable and spotless. Truly! I did not think this level of service existed any more. And ya just can't beat 50% off your first service. Love and light to the owner and staff who obviously work smart to make this a great place! I love LOve LOVED being able to book my appointment online from Yelp. Thank you to all those before me for taking the time to write a review! You are the reason I knew where to go. read more

IN LOVE! I had the lash lift service done and wow does it make a difference. I have naturally long eyelashes although they are very stubborn. They always point forward and never up no matter how hard I try. I've tried eyelash curlers, waterproof mascara, everything to make them curl and they never did until now. I will say though it's not for everyone, I don't believe someone with short eyelashes would see much of a difference but for someone with long lashes it's the way to go. It's been over a month and I still see results, using mascara after the lift further shows the results. Will definitely be doing it again! read more

Waxing The City - Waxing Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

This was my first time at Waxing the City and my experience was great. Angela was AMAZING! She was patient and made me feel comfortable. She walked me through the process, making it all so easy. She educated me about skincare and the things I should do between waxes. She spoke to me about the different products they offered and what would work best for me. She also informed me about other services provided at Waxing the City. It was a great experience; I look forward to my next visit and exploring all the amazing services they have to offer. read more

I went there yesterday and had an appointment with Sandra for a full Brazilian. Let me start by saying how much I loathe getting waxed. It is so extremely painful for me, especially in particular parts. My hair is very thick and course. When I came in the room, Sandra greeted me with two wipes to clean myself and a large napkin to put over my lap once I got undressed. I thought this was excellent service because The European Wax Center never did that for me. I explained to her that I was extremely sensitive and she made sure that the wax wasn't too hot. I told her my areas of concern and we did those areas last. Waxing the city does their process a little bit differently. While I was in and out in 15 minutes at European wax center, they basically did everything in five or six strips. Whereas waxing the city takes about 45 minutes because they do little strips and it actually helps a lot with the pain! For the first time in my life, I'm not completely petrified of booking my appointment next month. Sandra made it extremely easy to stay comfortable and she places her hand over the area after every removal of the strip. She knows how to comfort you and keep you calm. She used just the right amount of powder so the wax one at stick to my skin. At the very end, she used a wonderful mixture of different oils to make me extra soft. Additionally, she use tweezers to take out any stragglers! I would definitely recommend waxing the city, Sandra in particular. She took the pain out of waxing for me! read more

After losing my favorite wax specialist at European wax center, I researched a lot on other waxing places and waxing the city definitely caught my attention. They offer a variety of services along with waxing services which I really liked. They offer brow shaping and brow tinting to name a few. I came in to do a regular eyebrow wax. From all the reviews, I decided Sandra was the best person for me. When you walk into the shop, it is very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. All of the products they sale have been tested and is there own brand. The room that I was brought into was very clean. She answered all my questions about the services the shop offers and I found out that after my eye brow wax if I want to get them filled in (eye brow power or pencil) she can do it with no extra charge. Sandra took her time to wax and shape my eyebrows and I never felt rushed while I was in the room. It took about two weeks for any hair to show up on my eye brows which was amazing. Sandra said that their hard wax is customized just for their shop after numerous test to prevent breakouts on any skin. They do have something there to close pores on the face for anyone who breakout easily. Definitely have been coming back to see Sandra. Every time you book early, you get 5 dollars off your service and the first time visiting, the service is 50% off read more

I recently moved to South Florida from NYC. I been seeing my regular waxing guy in New York for about 9 years and was very hesitant in finding someone new. Finally it got to the point where I had too. So I googled some places in my neighborhood. The place I finally selected said sure we do men. But on the day of my appointment I got a call saying sorry I was wrong we do not do Brazilian for men. It was pretty much the same story on all the salons I called in my neighborhood that day. By pure luck I found wax in the city on yelp, it was 30 miles out of my way but what heck they where the only one I found on short notice that would service men for a Brazilian wax. They scheduled me right away. Trici who made my appointment was very pleasant and assured me they would take good care of me. The place very clean and had a real good vibe and I felt comfortable but I was still a little nervous. It was a woman that was going do it I don't know why but in my head I felt since a guy had the same body parts I had he would do it less painful. All I can say is WOW!! Kennia who was my cerologist is genius. In all my years of getting waxed I have never had one as painless and pleasant as she did. Don't get me wrong there is always gonna be a little pain but it was like a walk in park compared to my previous experiences she was thorough, a great conversationist and even caught a couple strays plus it was half off since it was my first time there. I definitely will be back. Thank you wax in the city -M read more

Awesome, just awesome. Comfortable, sanitary & professional. I personally had Sandra for my Brazilian -- and I highly recommend her. I can't say enough good things about her. She keeps you laughing & distracted throughout the whole process. Not once did I feel uncomfortable. From what I was told, it seems all the girls that work for "Waxing the City" are trained in the same facility in Denver, so I would guess that you get the same safe treatment from any of the staff. It's nice to have formal training to trust in. The studio coordinator, Trici, who greeted me instantly made me welcome. I mean she really calmed my nerves. She showed me a product to numb the area -- and it works. Of course the sensation is still there, but much less. So, with the topical cream available and the warm wax they use -- the whole process was easy peasy. Trust me if I can do it, anyone can do it here! read more

It was my visit here.. the establishment is lovely and Lauren was great! She's super friendly and professional, and the waxing services were quick and the most painless I've had! (I got a half leg and underarm) Also, any service at your first visit is 50% off! read more

I'm new to the Boca Raton area and decided to visit this establishment based on the reviews. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't "5 star". When I made the appointment, the young lady that answers wasn't necessarily helpful as she was told it was my first visit and never even mentioned the special pricing for first visits. I didn't find it out until check out, which I wasn't informed about until checkout. Had I known, perhaps I would have scheduled my Brazilian instead. As for the, esthetician "Amanda?" Was very polite and professional, however I wasn't necessarily satisfied with the eyebrow arching, as I didn't really notice anything different from what I entered the building with (except a " clean up") on top and bottom of the brow. Just my experience.... read more

I love waxing the city the only reason i gave it 5 stars is because 10 stars wasn't available. waxing the city is a must because Didi in the front desk convinced me to come in and Suzy did a GREAT job on me. I decided to try Waxing The City because the other place I was going to was too far and sometimes would cancel my reservations last minute, but could never take me in last minute. So, one day the same thing happened where they canceled on me and I said it's time to try something new. I went to Waxing The City and I absolutely love it! They put me in for that day with no complains. Valeria is who I get my service with and she's honestly amazing. Super sweet, super reliable, and just an overall great person, making my experience the best one each time. She takes her time and is never in a rush. I was so incredibly pleased with everything about this place. From the customer service to the wax itself to even a follow-up phone call from the owner, I was blown away (i missed the call but it was such a kind and thoughtful voicemail). I just moved to Boca Raton from Miami and was waxing at Uki-K wax in doral for a few months before I moved so and I was really nervous to find a new waxing location. After a lot of research, I finally built up the courage to book a Brazilian with Morena because of all the wonderful reviews about her. And they were right!! She is an absolute sweetheart and made my first experience so great. She explained everything and took her time making sure everything was perfect. I am so pleased with the results that I even registered for the membership and will be seeing her every month! I wish I could give you guys more stars!
