The lady behind the counter was very nice but there was a guy checking packages that really knows how to escalate a concern of mine. I had to pickup a certified letter since the mail person did not make an attempt to come to the door to deliver the letter to the household. He told me that was my problem and that they don't get paid to do that. He was very rude and seriously should not be working anywhere near people. read more

the USPS has a small parking lot, almost 1/2 full. just a few patrons inside post lunch. the lobby didn't have anyone in line. the parking lot and lobby will fill up quickly at peak times. there's a drop off mail box in front. also a few drive by drop off mail boxes in the side lot in front of the wired fence. read more

Thank you to my local USPS!! I have never had an issue with their service. All my packages have been delivered in a timely manner. I use prepaid labels to drop off packages at their locations, they've never gotten lost. I also use the schedule pick up feature and there have been no issues there either. I wouldn't recommend sending a package internationally from this post office. They printed the wrong country postage stamp so my package got returned back to me and they refuse to give me a refund. They won't take accountability of their own mistake and blame me for inputting the wrong address which I did not. I have a receipt and custom form to prove it. I called the customer service line multiple times and even they said it was the clerk's fault. There is no postmaster at this post office and the supervisor is very unhelpful. read more

This USPS store is a small location where I usually go pick up my packages. There are times where USPS workers drop the mail off at your house even on the weekends but if you ask for a signature request and you are not home they usually leave a note stating what the next process is in order to get your mail. They make 2 attempts to drop off at your house and the 3rd time they give you the location to pick up your package. There is a huge parking lot and tons of parking so parking is never an issue at this location. I usually find myself coming to pick my packages up on the weekends since I am rarely home throughout the week and everyone seems to be very nice and helpful. If you need any help or assistance the supervisor Leslie usually is the one to pick up the phone and answer any questions or concerns. No complaints so far with this USPS. I definitely recommend getting a PO Box here as you are able to access the office to get your mail 24 hours a day. read more

This is ANOTHER package this facility or employer opens. I feel that this is a HATR CRIME. I feel that my small business is being targeted. I've gotten several packages ripped up legit like they open it with scissors ruining my customers items. Then retapped and shipped out. This is probably the most depressing usps I've ever gone to. I thought "Oh maybe its just today that they are grumpy." Then i came back several times and their attitudes are still the same. Especially the asian older guy with the long rectangle face, no matter how you say good morning to him he has this "What do you want?" Attitude each and every time, i will get his name next time. I cannot believe my first experience with Ulta as a company and USPS INABILITY to help as they are the ones that delivered the box. I have never been able to afford Ulta but finally my husband surprised me and helped me do my first big haul. I ordered 22 products totaling $300 dollars. I ordered online and had been eagerly expecting my package. My box was shipped by UPS and delivered by USPS. As soon as we heard the knock on the door, I ran to pick up my package. The box was slightly opened but I assumed it was due to the shipping and handling. I was so excited as I wanted to start my own makeup channel, this was again my first order with Ulta. When I opened the box, I find not my 22 products, but 3 bottles of shampoo and 2 already opened mascaras!! I did not order them at all! NONE of my products were in my box. Underneath the bottles was my packing slip of all the products I was supposed to have received. If I could rate Ulta a negative 100 I would! I then went to UPS to see if they could help me figure out what happened, they said it was not their problem it was USPS's problem since they delivered it. I then went to USPS and they said it was Ulta's problem. I called Ulta and was on hold for 55 minutes when finally I was told that someone would email me within 48 hours. I have been given the run around COMPLETELY! I spent over $300 to finally buy some products I have been dreaming of trying to receive this experience. Not to even mention, this was something to look forward too after losing my job to Covid 19! This was my prize that I had been waiting for. I told the representative that I didn't even want a refund, I just wanted my products. I am completely heart broken with this experience. read more

I usually get satisfactory service at the counter, but some of the workers are rather rude and unfriendly. Home service is terrible. Mail can arrive anywhere between 8am and 7pm. Different carriers almost daily. The rate of having mail picked up that is set out is about 1 out of 4 times (I usually have to take it to the post office myself). Scanning of bar codes is done about 1/2 the time - unacceptable. Oh, and on average our block gets mail delivered about 4 days per week. No continuity or consistency of service and they have the gall of constantly raising rates when service quality is drastically going down! read more

Worst post office . I would mail my letters here since my job is next door. I do not anymore no matter it is next door . I rather drive to the next city to drop the mail. I've stop giving chances to redeem themselves at this post office . The post office has a lot of traffic and majority of the time no parking . The lines are long that it wraps inside . It's Covid times , the line I think would be safer if it would line up outside . There is only 2-3 usps workers in the front check out . The 3 mailbox drop box are always full . I would have to check all three to see which is not too full that I can stick it in without the chance of someone stealing it . There was one time I got my mail stuck and couldn't close the mailbox . I had to get out of my car to get help from the USPS employee to empty the bin. And the worst beside seeing people going inside the building without a facemask and it looks like precovid day in the post office , they lost my mail 4 times that I had to file a claim , a lost mail , and there are times when my mail has not been scanned until it reaches the destination. I understand it is Covid times but the other post office I go to know never gave me these problems. They don't call back after the claim only when I called the USPS 800 number again. The USPS employees are not friendly, it seems very robotic when they speak. I understand it is Covid times , but it shouldn't be this much unsatisfactory. I was in line at the post office to mail some packages. The line for service was marked with tape, spaced out more than 6 feet to accommodate the new social distancing. The person in front of me didn't have a mask on (as well as several other people going in and out). When the line had progressed forward enough for the post office person at the desk (behind a plastic and taped cardboard shield made of repurposed packaging) to see us, she told the person that wasn't wearing a mask that they wouldn't serve them unless they put on a mask. The person was surprised and looked around in disbelief. They pulled their t-shirt opening up over their nose and mouth to comply with the face covering rule but the post office person said no. The rule as most of us understand it is that a face covering is required, not a specific style or brand of mask. If the post office is going to refuse service to customers for not having a mask THEY want based on personal judgment, then they should supply masks for customers at the door. I'm personally going to start carrying an extra mask for people I see in this situation in the future. Poorly done CV post office. read more

They are not full service. Overall experience with USPS is a joke. They have lost my packages and mail on a few occasion due to negligence. The claim process takes forever. In person service is at a snail pace. This service should be privatize like UPS or Fedex. read more

This post office is terrible and they can not be trusted. I have had the same PO Box here for 40 years. In that time they have without warning changed the lock on my box. Two times they did this. Then they want to charge me for the lock. I went on Sunday to get my mail and my box was locked and the lock was changed. They always send a bill for the box, this time they didn't or else they delivered it to the wrong address. I never got a bill for it. They changed the lock! Why would they think I wasn't going to pay this after I've been there 40 years?! The lady at the counter was no help at all. All she did was take my money for the lock and tell me "the box is still available". WTF? The time before that I paid for 6 months. This lady called me and said she put it in their system for one year but couldn't get it back to six months. She wanted to know if I could just pay for the whole year. I paid (doing her a favor) and when I went to get my mail...THE BOX WAS LOCKED AND THE LOCK WAS CHANGED. This place is terrible. Can't be trusted and no customer service. read more

This castro valley p.o.location is a joke. People working at the counter are plain useless, unprofessional, lazy, and untrained etc... I went in today trying to mail an international package which was returned back to me due to insufficient postage. I walked in, got in line, there were 3 workers and a lady at the end of the counter didnt greet me. They just did a glanced at me and continued on their business, and acted like they didn't see me. I can see 2 of the clerks were helping one customer, the 3rd one was helping another customer. So I waited patiently for my turn. When it was my turn, went up told the lady that i prepared this label online and the package was returned back requiring more postage. She looked at it and say this is an international package, I don't know how to do it. She pushed me to the next clerk. 2nd one said, my scanner can't scan international transaction, pushed me to lady next to him. She tried to scan, and say it is not coming up etc...went to the last clerk there. This one says we are out or don't have international labels, we can't do it. What to do now, we have to send her away. Wow, just like all other reviewers said, they didn't even try with any efforts, always respond with that stupidity blank face, no can't do, no, don't have, what lame excuses!!!!!!!!!! Really frustrated with these people instability to do their job. ASK TO GET TRAINED IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO PERFORM YOUR JOB DUTIES. QUIT IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR JOB. read more

Customer service is so trash. I went here to drop off some packages, something I rarely do so I'm already nervous. I get to the front of the line the guy i got told me i have the wrong box for one package and that i have to cut my labels out and tape them, the post office in Richmond does it for me with no problem so i was a little confused but I'm like ok i am in a different city so i guess they do things different. He points me off to a empty area and said get the box over there,now for someone who barely send stuff all of those boxes look the same so I'm like ok I'm not going to stress out I'll just cut the labels out and tape it first. So i take the first scissors i see and i cut my labels out then this man walk in and say those are my scissors from home, took them I'm like ok i apologize went to the guy behind the counter, asked for scissors he act like he didn't want to give them to me. Then i seen a black guy behind the counter who kept staring at me i assumes he realized i was overwhelmed and frustrated so i asked him for some tape and he for sure didn't want to give me any but he said a customer left some earlier and said to let people who forget theirs to use it and that i was lucky cause it would've been a no...that really frustrated me but breaking down in a post office is not cute but i really wanted to break down and cry. The whole experience to me was terrible, the people working there were rude and unhelpful i felt terrible just asking them for the things i did ask for because they clearly didn't want to help me. Took prepaid box inside on Aug 31 cause it was too big to go into container..It was supposed to be delivered by the 28th the latest.. I rec'd a letter from the GA mail recovery asking me to fill out a form to search the box located in LA on the 21st. Filled it out immediately and sent out.. Nothing...... I go in Sat 23rd inquiring about the package, I get told to leave info for supervisor to contact me.....nothing.. I went in today 11days after leaving the note w/supervisor and still nothing.. Thumbs down on the customer service here. The employees here do the very minimum. I sent out a package on 6/21 it was to arrive back east on 6/24, but never did. I went through all of the steps to track the package myself here at home via online with no luck. So I thought I'd see if someone at this Post Office could maybe lend me a hand, make a phone call or do anything to help me out. The guy I talked to told me to track it through the Automated machine in their lobby, this is right after I had just finished telling him I had already tried to track it at home. I showed him pictures of my computer screen with the USPS website and what it said about my package. He told me I should contact the recipient and have them have their post office try and track it. I told him the package never left Oakland how is my recipient supposed track it when it never arrived out there?? He stood there with a blank face. I asked this guy if he could call the Oakland Post Office sorting center(because per my online tracking search this is the last place my package was acknowledged). He told me that they didn't have the phone number for the sorting center in West Oakland. The HUGE Post Office sorting center for the East Bay. He also mentioned something about the sorting center not have a phone. I asked him point blank, "So you are telling me the huge sorting center in West Oakland has no phones?" He said, "yes". At this point I just had to leave. I was just amazed by this guys inability to even try. He had an answer for everything but none of his answers involved any type of effort on his part. Too bad the post office has come to this. It is no wonder they have money issues. With situations like this I'm sure people find other avenues to ship their parcels. read more
