In my previous review I wrote about Evelyn who was very rude. But she has changed to be one of the best in Customer Service. Maybe she was taught how to do it the right way. The first time when I went in about a month and a half back she greeted and smiled and had a small chitchat. I was thinking not much of it. The second time I went she smiled and greeted as well. Today when I went in she was behind the counter she popped out of the counter and wished me good morning and also wished me to have a great day. That made my day. It's one of the best feeling to go into a store in the morning come out with that happy smiling face because you got the best customer service. They wanted me to pay more for shipping (the shipping was more than the actual cost of the item). Instead of advising me on what I should do, the lady simply said, "if it doesn't get there, that's your fault". I went to this location and explained to Freddie of my situation and he immediately provided the best service as possible. He helped me repackage my item and subtracted the difference of what I had to pay. The employee at the North Broadway didn't even want to subtract the difference, and wanted me to pay $7.50 on top of the $1.32 that was already paid for. Thank you for the amazing service Freddie!!!

A female employee responded from the back and said that they close the doors at 4:30 PM. I explained that I had been there since 4:20 PM, continuously pressing the bell, and no one had come to assist me. This experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. My package was then thrown out, stolen, or drifted into the Twilight Zone. None of the clerks there are a bit helpful. They shrug their shoulders and refuse to accept any accountability. Never going into this post office again. (I know I said as much in JANUARY, but this truly was the final straw). ADVICE: to anyone who uses prepaid labels, you MUST get a receipt at the counter no matter the time, no matter how long the line is, no USPS clerks can be trusted at any of the post offices, and none accept accountability for missing packages. ANOTHER THING: don't accuse me of agesism, but I can't understand why there is a woman who works here who has to be at least in her 80s, is clearly in pain and can hardly move with a bad back, still working here, full time. I had mailed several of these envelopes at other Oakland post offices this month and I've never been asked to fill the forms out myself. There was no one else in the room other than my husband and me, so it wasn't like they were busy. But okay, fine, I went over the table she indicated and didn't know which forms I was supposed to choose, and I didn't have my glasses, so I picked out two and filled them in. Went back to the window, and she said sharply, "NO! the xyz form!" I didn't know what on earth she meant, so I said, "fine, I'll just go somewhere else." Realizing that I didn't have time to drive to another post office, I went back inside. By now, there was a line. My husband went up to her window and asked which forms I needed, and she barked at him, too. Then she started yelling at me, and I yelled back, and it was a totally awful scene, I've never lost my temper in public in my life, but here I was, this crazy 78-YO lady shouting across the room in the post office.
