Went to USA subs a couple of Sundays ago. I was last there about a year ago and looked forward to the BOMB. The sub was as good as I remembered. I was surprised as to the cleanliness of the place (Or lack their of). I saw that the vents in the prep area was dusty,the bathroom doors were filthy and generally not clean. Compared to the last time I was there when it was spotless. Will make me a bit Leary to go anytime soon now that I am in the area again. read more

There are plenty of sub shops in Derry, and this is the only one I go to. They are 100% consistent each time I order, they are very friendly, fast and efficient. I typically get the same order (roast beef or italian), but they are spot on with all of their food. We have used them for big orders during Football season and we've never had a complaint. They also have call ahead for pickup, which not all places offer this service. read more

My wife and I love this place! Great food, Great value! The ham& cheese and meatball subs(both just 4.99 for a 14'') are highly recommended. Their bread is almost always fresh, and they have added french fries to the menu. Seating is limited, but this spot is made for pick-up and go. There are picnic benches outside for good weather eating. The 14'' steak bomb is tasty as is all of their steak subs! Really worth a trip, even if your at a significant distance. I grew up going to this place. My parents still order here all the time and my family just went there today. My husband got the large steak bomb and downed the whole thing. I got a large steak and cheese with mushrooms, peppers, and onions. So good. Just the right amount of grease and flavor. Kids shared a turkey, ham, and cheese. I asked for it dry and unfortunately when we got home we noticed it was slathered in a ton of mayo. The kids still ate it, but that's why this is a four star rating. There was one person ahead of me when I ordered, and I waited about 20 minutes. Would definitely recommend calling ahead if you know what you want. This place deserves one star due to its horrible customer service. They leave the phone off the hook and if they do actually pick up, they give nothing but attitude. After never answering my call I went to the actual location to find that they had completely unplugged the phone. If you can't simply take someones order get a new job! If you want quality, there's only one place to go for your subs!! Their French Dip Sub is to die for! I run errands all afternoon and when someone doesn't feel like cooking I end up going here because it's just that good. They also have cookies from a local bakery that they sell, and I can't leave there without getting one of the peanut butter cookies for myself. No one seems to write reviews about Quiznoes, Subway, or D'Angelos sandwiches pro or con. However if you look up USA Subs for Salem or Derry NH on Google there are 20 or 30 fantastic reviews on just about every site that does reviews. No business of any kind is that great. In fact on a good day the sandwiches are average but usually at least one sandwich in an order is screwed up. I was shocked to find out the USA Subs has a federal trade mark or copyright on "STEAK BOMB". I've been buying Steak Bombs in New England for 40 years. You really have to find a crooked lawyer to get a trade mark "STEAK BOMB". USA Subs should put as much effort into food as they do rigging Google reviews and getting bogus trade marks. read more

This place satisfies time and time again. My family and I have been going here since I was a kid and we have always been very happy with the quality of their food. The staff are friendly, fast and efficient while making every point to get your order perfect. Just tonight a sub in my take out order was not correct and despite being very busy, they took it back and fixed it for me in about a minute. The staff apologized which while not necessary, I did appreciate. A little customer service goes a long way and these guys get that! This place is one of my first new discoveries once I moved to the area. It's just a little unassuming shop, but for starters, it is very clean and but it has a great selection of choices (which is nice when you have a family of picky eaters); the food tastes great and the prices I think are more than reasonable! My husband and I have been loyal customers for years and USA Subs was the only place we would ever get subs from. The food is great. But tonight we have finally had it with the shitty service that there has been lately. We called in an order and were told the wait of 20 mins. We arrived 2 minutes after we called and my husband waited 15 minutes until he went in to check in. I sat in the car waiting and I kept seeing more and more people coming in doing walk in orders and they left with food before my husband. It wasn't until we had waited 40 minutes that my husband got up and asked about his order and they said it STILL wasn't done. It was done 5 minutes later. When my husband got back in the car he said all the kids working were just goofing off. We are so upset that they kept taking orders ahead of ours and they we waited 20 mins past the time we were told. Then to top it all off, we got home and they made all of the subs wrong. So we are done. The service has been so bad lately. read more

More often then not, over the past year, we have had our order not filled correctly. they seemed to have a problem adding pickles, tomatoes and onions to a meatball sub. USA Subs is the best sub place in Derry, been going there for about 20 years. Great Steak Subs, those are their best item. I like the Greek Salad with the Kalamata Olives and Feta Cheese too. I've never had a bad sub there. Great deals for the Meatball and Ham and Cheese subs too so when I'm on a budget I get those. I ordered a three foot sub a couple of months ago and that was the very first thing to go at the party. The kids loved the huge sub and I only got the three footer, not the six footer. read more

I was reading through the reviews, and I have to say I'm kind of surprised. I've lived in Derry all my life (Twenty years now) and I have to say that this place has been here through all my childhood. I remember when my parents worked more than not and we would go there for the random lunch when my dad had the opportunity, or going in with my mum after going school shopping and she always would ask where I wanted to go, well you know where by my review. I was a picky eater, never ate more than the steak through my preteen years, but it was always the best I ever had. I've tried others, no names since that is just plain rude to insult food just because you don't like it, but by far the steak here is the best I have tried in three states. The owner and the founder are down to Earth people, who really care about the community and their family. Reminds me alot of what people used to say that was important in their lives, but sadly has gone away over time. But not here, they still donate to charities, they still keep their two specials up, and generally care for people. USA subs, keep up the hard work and dedication, and reach not twenty five years, but fifty! read more
