This place doesn't even deserve one star. All of the ladies at the front are extremely unpleasant and stingy except for the young Asian one. I needed a little scotch tape but was refused because it wasn't priority mail. I don't understand the big deal. Is the Walnut USPS that broke that you can't let your customers have some tape? read more

This is the best post office I've ever been to! There's so many workers and they go out of their way to even try to help me tape all my packages up. Theres plenty of parking and 3 automated machines for simple packages and letters. read more

This Post Office is located conveniently where I live; however, I hate going to this location. There are always long lines and each and every staff member I have encountered here was very rude. None of the ladies working here are helpful at all. Sometimes I think it's just me that the workers are rude to, but while waiting in line I often see the mistreatment of other customers. There are many customers who leave this Post Office upset and angry. As much as possible, try avoiding this USPS. The small West Covina office by Marukai (Market) has staff that are friendlier and get the job done. read more

I'm giving it a 1 star cuz of a guy that works here. He is the MOST rude person I have ever met. He just through my packages around not caring if they were fragile or not. If it was just the ladies working there then I would give a higher rating. I expected a U.S. postal employee to be more professional than act like my 4 yr old cousin. I was not pleased with his working ethics. I have entrusted my packages with this location for 12 yrs and this 1 person is not making me feel welcome unlike the ladies working there. I don't know his name but he looked like he was Mexican or something with facial hair. read more

OMG I had a really bad experience today. There was a one old korean woman(she named her JANET haha) who speaks English like korean. She was very mean, lazy and she doesn't even know what she was doing. How can USPS hired someone who doesn't want to work. I am Korean but I am really embarrassed that a woman like that working in public. I am giving 1 star, because everyone else are nice. By her self. ZERO STAR. read more

This is the worst place ever. Staff is disrespectful and inconsiderate. Made me wait in line for 30mins and then told me that I didnt have to wait at all. Ridiculous. read more

i went in to check on a package i had dropped off a week ago so that i could ask if it was in the process of delivery or if it was stuck at the post office for some reason. the lady was so rude and lazy that she refused to get off her chair to look for it. she kept saying she literally checked the area that morning, but i had done the same thing to check on a package that had not been delivered yet about two months ago and was talking to a man and he went to check for me and found the package between containers. this lady gave me the worst customer service i have ever experienced. i've never met a more lazy, rude, disrespectful person when dealing with an issue. never coming back to this post office again. i've been looking at past reviews and seems that this is a common issue. the manager really needs to hire more respectful and willing people that will actually do their job and help the customer. what is the point of hiring someone who won't do a simple task that they are supposedly required to do? read more

Worst post office staffing I have ever encountered. The professionalism here is none. The staff at this location will not help you if you have a heavy package and they will try to pass those heavy package customers to another staff. To be more specific, I came in today to ship out 3 large moving boxes at 60 lbs each. I undersand that this is a heavy box and I am will to help them move it to the back after I paid for the shipping label. Once inside the post office, I moved my 3 boxes using a dolly to the far inside wall to prevent blockage of the doorway and the waiting area. Unfortunately this is where Lam, an employee at this location, thought that I deliberately want her to help me with these 3 heavy boxes, which was never my intent. After Lam helped her last customer, it was my turn. Her first words were, "I guess it's me huh?" I was confused with her passive aggressive gesture. Then she continued asking, "how heavy are the boxes, because our scale is only up to 70 lbs." I then told her that it was 60 lbs. As I thought that we were going to resume the shipping process, Lam continued saying that they are out of labels and I have to hand write the shipping address on each box. This is completely fine with me and I do understand. But, in order to write it on the box, I first have to move the top box down because they are stacked on the dolly. Just when I moved the top box to the floor, Lam stated that I need to move my boxes towards the door. At this point I wasn't very happy with her customer service. It almost felt she deliberately told me to move after I sat the box down to the floor, which I have to pick it back up. While writing the address on the boxes, I told my wife, no more USPS next time. Lam heard this and proceeded asking us repeatedly, "what do you mean no more USPS?" I explained to her that I felt that I was treated unfairly. Lam continued saying why was I in her line and I explained to her that her line was just close to the wall where I parked my dolly to not block the entrance. Moreover, my wife asked her if we can get the shipping process going and not argue about why did I park my dolly here, but Lam refused and asked my wife if she was done talking, because Lam demanded an answer. Now, another gentleman came out and introduced himself as a Postmaster Jose, which I now know is the facility manager. He asked what happened and I tried to explain this to him but Lam kept on interrupting our conversation. Jose might be fed up with the back and forth argument and said, "do you want me to help you or not?" I realized that they are co-works and there is no point arguing anymore. If I do ship with this office, I am afraid that my package will be lost or damaged deliberately, so I told Jose that his help will not be needed and left this facility. I felt humiliated, abused, and threatened at this post office. I sincerely hope this review will help anyone decide whether to choose this place to ship or elsewhere. read more

All the bad reviews about this post office are true. I went to here couple times since I live nearby. The staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. Especially the Asian guy, every time he gave the bad attitude and treated you like a trash. He is the worst! Why do we have to pay our tax to provide these people jobs? ! Does anybody know how to lodge a complaint? read more

I have never encountered anybody so rude in my life! I woke up extra early on Saturday morning to pick up a package after USPS had left me a voicemail on my phone to let me know that my package was being held at the Walnut post office. As soon as I got there, this asian man in a baseball cap, who I found out from his colleague was named Tom started interrogating me asking all sorts of unnecessary questions about what is in the box and why I wasn't at my work when the package had first attempted to be delivered. I told him I had the tracking number and my ID but he kept insisting on asking all of these useless questions to give me a really hard time and trying to accuse me of lying saying that my package was not there (at this point he didn't even bother to look). He finally goes to the back for like 1 minute to check and says that there is nothing there. I told him that USPS had contacted me to pick up my package. Tom goes on to say that my package is probably in one of three cartons in the back but that he is not going to waste his time to go in the back and look for my package. At this point, I was furious so I left empty handed without my package. I feel like people like Tom really should not be in a field where customer service should be a priority. My experience here has made me never want to come back to this location. read more

I am very disappointed and embarrassed for this US Post Office. The employee works for the US Post Office doesn't even know when the stamp will be increased. The employees at Costco know when the stamp will be increased. The reason I know when the stamps will increase, because when I was in line at the register at Costco, the customer in front of me bought a lot of stamps and I heard she was talking with the Cash Register about the stamps will be increased. I went to the US Post Office and tried to buy some stamps. I asked the man works at the Post Office and his answer was : "I don't know". SO embarrassed!! You work at the post office and you don't know?? I didn't want to buy stamps at Costco, because they have only one design, and US Post Office has more than one design and I can chose the design I want. read more

I'm at this post office a lot. A friend had left some items in my car and I had to mail them out overnight express mail. I had no box and wasn't sure how to do this. The lady on the end I believe her name is Lan was very helpful. She got me a box and I filled out a form and she taped the box up for me and helped me get it all ready to mail. I have always found the ladies at this post office to be very helpful when ever I need information. I have never had anyone one of them be rude to me. Some people complain about the lines and having to wait but I always think that they are all doing the best they can. Some people just have to learn to be more patient. read more

I went to drop off some priority box in the back (first time) I misplaced on the flat rate envelope crate box. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! the Asian guy worker is rude, he said we couldn't drop off the boxes here because our zip code is 91792 which is West Covina zip code not walnut zip code. THIS UPS MAIL IS ONLY OPEN TO PEOPLE WITH WALNUT ZIP CODE, PEOPLE FROM OTHER CITY ARE NOT WELCOME. I also asked him about a 1 day priority shipping box that I shipped of since last week, the person still didn't receive it yet and the tracking isn't scan, he didn't even bother to help and say u have to wait. Then I asked another Asian lady at the counter and she kindly help me and track the package down. The manager is also very nice and helpful. read more

Only good thing about this post office is the location. I spoke to an employee named Manuel that was not very helpful. His tone of voice was rude and errogant. When i asked for the Post Master he got offended and became even more arrogant. He should not be answering the phone if he is not willing to give great customer service. The other employees have been decent. Mail delivery people are the best. maybe Manuel needs to go outside and catch some fresh air so his attitude wont stink.! read more

All the employees especially the supervisor named "Chris" are extremely rude. Last week, I found out that our mailbox in our area was vandalized over the weekend. The people in that post office was supposed to make notification about the issue and they are claiming that they did. I did not see any letter from them that it was vandalized. I have to call this post office to find out what happened to our mail. Then, they informed me that it was vandalized and I have to go there to pick up our mail and this supervisor "Chris" did not even bother to say sorry for not notifying us regarding the issue instead just be very rude and arrogant. Please have this employee be removed. This employee does not deserve to be serving us. read more

During the week, there is a lady that's very friendly and always willing to help. The weekends, however, are not so pleasant. They are very pushy. Today there was a long line, and two of the employees were having a conversation in Chinese with a client for 10 minutes. Yet, when it came my turn, I didn't have the correct envelope so I had to go to the back of the line. The lady wouldn't even help me by telling me which one I needed. She just pointed to the back and said "you pick one". Its too bad not all the employees helpful read more

This place is horrible! First of all their inside drop-off has been out of service for MONTHS! Second, the staff their are rude with the exception of possibly one person. Today I dropped off packages that had "FRAGILE" written all over it. AND still this worker (didnt get her name) but she was a middle age larger white woman, picks up my packages and just Flings them in the bin! What the H*%# is the point of having fragile packages when they treat them the same as any other package! I am not surprised that this post office has a very very very low rating. I only wish at a supervisor or person who is in charge of is facility looks at its ratings and do something about it. I hate the fact that they are the closest USPS near me and I most of the time have no choice but to go to them! I wish there aw a -100 star I can click on. Super tired of this place! HORRIBLE! read more

If it was possible to give the Walnut Post Office NO stars, I would do so. We have had a PO Box in the LOBBY of the Post Office for years, and in the past year it has been broken into no less than FIVE times. The employees in the post office could care less. They give us a new key and say the lock to the box has been "compromised." The lobby doors are kept open 24/7, so there is no security for the PO Boxes. No cameras. Nada. It is absolutely a travesty that federal crimes (i.e. mail theft) are allowed to occur RIGHT IN THE POST OFFICE and nobody does anything. I have written to the City Council as well as to Congressman Ed Royce, but have not received any follow-up. In addition, some of the employees have horrible attitudes and are extremely unhelpful. I think they feel it would be against the law to smile. How sad. I used to love living in Walnut because it was a safe, friendly, neighborhood community. Doesn't seem that way anymore. Whatever you do, DO NOT get a PO Box at the Post Office, and if you can avoid going into the post office at all you'd be better off. read more

If I could give this post office anything lower than a star I would. Recently, our postman retired. Great guy. Sad to see him leave. It seems lately our mail is comes at different times of the day whereas before it was delivered around 1pm. I was expecting a package today. It was for standard delivery. I order from this company ALL time and my previous mail man would just leave it by the door if the package was too large. Today, I waited ALL day waiting for the mail man to arrive. Finally, at 4:00pm, I went upstairs to give my infant a bath. I heard the dogs park which meant the mail had arrived. 10 minutes later I went to grab the mail and noticed my order wasn't there. There wasn't even a note placed on the door. I noticed his truck was still parked by my neighbors house so on my way to my doctors apt I looked to see if he/she was down the street but nothing. I called the post office to see if they could contact him to see if he had forgotten or was going to deliver it at a later time but their phone kept ringing busy. I attempted this five times. Called my husband to see if the postman delivered it after I left and he said no. When I got home, I tracked it online and the status was: "attempt to deliver, notice left." There was NO notice!!!! I checked everywhere!! I am so livid!!!! Especially since I don't have to sign for it!!! I'm hoping to get a perminet postman or post woman ASAP and hope it's not the lazy person who delivered my mail today. But I will be calling tomorrow for redelivery and I better be the first stop!!!! read more

For the last two to three years, we have been consistently getting mail with our address numbers on them but a different street name. There are three or four homes in our neighborhood with the same numbers but different street names. The sorters and the mail carriers do not check the street names when they sort the mail and deliver it! I have talked to three different mail carriers about the problem and all are pleasant and say they will be more vigilant when delivering! I have even gone to Walnut Post Office and spoke to a supervisor about the problem! The result? It's happening more now then ever! We are not getting 4-5 pieces of important mail ( bills, vehicle registration etc.) per month. Unfortunately, my neighbors who get my mail, do not take it back to the Post Office like I do and probably just throw my mail away! I am done complaining to the Walnut Post office and am going to file a 'Consumer Affairs Complaint'! Hopefully they get their act together! read more
