The people under her can be unprofessional and rude sometimes, however, she will take appropriate steps and actions accordingly. The manager? She was at the self service kiosk helping others. It's self service, why are you there? Not to mention, you can hear her obnoxious, loud voice from a mile away. She's literally shouting and also talking smack on her fellow workers. "It's so short staffed today. If it were up to me, I'd fire everyone for calling in sick. It's that kind of day. I'm over it." The staff here are very rude and unhelpful. I've had several instances of bringing in packages and getting yelled at by the staff to take it around to the back (which means getting back into my car and driving around to the back of the building) and once I take it to the back, I get yelled at by the workers there because they also don't want to handle my packages. Seems no one is interested in actually working. I've also left packages in their drop box and had workers slam the door open next to the Dropbox and yell at me for putting my packages there. Have been using this post office for about 3 years with 3-4 visits a week. Staff is quite helpful, fast and have had no major problems. On my way out the boss lady came from the backroom and quipped at people for coming in late to mail items which was discouraging and kind of rude but I guess it happens. read more

There is an Asian female employee at this post office who treats fellow Asians with discrimination. When dealing with Asian customers, she wears a hostile and disdainful expression, but when interacting with non-Asians, she is all smiles. Please review the surveillance footage to verify this statement. I have been to this post office multiple times and have observed this employee on several occasions. The other employees do not behave this way. What's even more infuriating is that their manager seems completely unaware of the situation and simply assumes that customers are unfairly targeting this Asian employee. People at this post office are lazy !!! I could not understand why they only had 2.5 stars but now I do, So our driveway was being done and because of that we were forced to park our cars outside. We have a mailbox that is probably a foot away from our entrance door and we also did stairs that lead to that mail box starting from the sidewalk which is about 32 ft long X almost 7 ft wide . On June 7th our contractor adviced to us not to step on the cement while it dried cause that was the day it got poured, so I decided to head to the post office off of lemon street and put a hold to our mail because I couldn't do it online on that day. On thursday june 12, 2025 after talking to the contractor he said we could step on it, I went and picked up my mail and release the hold for them to deliver my mail after that. However we still couldn't drive on our cement being that it got poured on June 7th and we were told to wait at least 2 to 3 weeks to drive on it. I left my car parked outside, who knew to the surpirse I was going to get a sweeper ticket, I honestly could not believe I got a ticket being that my driveway had 4 orange cones at the edge of the driveway by the sidewalk to signal anyone they could not come into our driweway. I needed to submit paperwork to the city to appeal the ticket so I called the post office to have additional paperwork but apparently after you pick up your mail paperwork you submit in person gets tossed out the day you pick up your mail. Anyways so when I tried to explain this to the supervisor #Juanita, she try to twist my words around and laughed and said "imagine if we kept paperwork of all the hold mail " ? and she said it was my fault for parking on the street, and that one thing had nothing to do with the other when in fact it did, it did because I literally had to put a hold mail for Ivan ( out mail delivery guy ) not to step on the wet cement that leads to the mail bo and no could walk or drive on driveway, Yes it was probably my fault but they should have had some kind of record that I held our mail at that post office for a while, it should be logged into a computer or something just as if it was done online.!! What if this was a different scenario where there was a more delicate situation and had to prove my mail was held at a post office and got put in jail or something else because I did not have writen proof I wasn't home or something like that ?? Card for hold request should either be sent via mail to us or better yet given to the customer for proof on the day of hold release for proof !! Came here to sent package and the staff is really helpful. Lan is the one who told me to sent out my package with cheaper options. When I was in line, I also saw her very patiently explaining to elderly lady who is having some issues with her mail. I just left this post office with a pair of sunglasses that I purchased and I was trying to return along with the provided return shipping label. It's unbelievable to wait in a long ass line to have a rude lady behind the counter tell me that I need to purchase packaging tape in order to wrap the return label around the small box instead of her doing it herself. I went to my local Walnut, CA. Post office yesterday to mail out a belated set of Christmas gifts for a fellow Yelp Elite friend. To my pleasant surprise, there was a short line, but it gracefully moved along quickly so to me that was equivalent to no line. Once again I don't like writing lower-star reviews but a certain staff member was extremely unprofessional. That said, I'm agreeing with some other reviewers' comments that the staff here Need to display proper work ethic at least NOT yawning close to 445pm, PST. Seriously?! This Walnut USPS branch has the worst customer service ever. I talked to few customers and they all agreed and mentioned there is one Asian old lady with above shoulder length hair, usually sits on the first left counter as customers enter the building. She always has the bad customer service and not polite. I experienced before and unfortunately I experienced again today. This lady never greeted customers. I handed my package and asked for receipt and said "Thank you". But she does not know how to smile. And It made me pissed off was as she handed me the receipt. She did not extended her arm to hand it to me. I need to get extend my arm all the way to her seating spot to grab it. Hello, if you really hate your job, just let someone to take over. Juanita is one of the worst employees I've ever had the misfortune of interacting with. I specifically pretended I didn't have debit to avoid her. First when we came in she has an extremely loud and domineering voice and tried to shame an elderly man for asking for tape, saying loudly "I don't know why people don't come prepared." He stood there for about 4-5 mins before she asked the other employee at the desk for some tape. Then she was explaining that she misspelled something but reassured the customer loudly that it was okay that she misspelled something. The last thing she did in this span of about 6 mins by the way was say "It's one of those days" after someone politely asked her how she was doing. As someone that has been going to this post office for the past 25 years for business, I don't have much good things to say about this place. To start, they allow business account holders to drop off packages in the dock area in the back, but you can bet that none of the parking spaces marked for "customers" are available, ever. Why? because they want to make it as unpleasant as possible so you don't drop off your packages in the back, so less work for them. There's always an employee vehicle parked there, or mail truck parked in the customer's spot. A few months back I complained about it, and guess what? after they repaved the back area they completely took out the few customer's parking spot and so now we have zero parking in the back (So don't blame us for parking all over the place in the back) The freight truck drivers are also very rude and make sure that you are well aware that you are in their way with their honking (the black guy looks like he can't hate his job any more than possible, and the European looking bald guy always drives his truck fast and furious in the back parking lot) They usually close the dock on busy days (like after a black friday weekend) because they can't handle the amount of drop offs and make you drive 7+ miles away to another hub to drop it off. They also DO NOT scan the packages to update tracking information. This causes a lot of headaches for the businesses as we constantly get customers asking why we haven't ship their packages yet as it looks like from the tracking information the package is still in our hands. The front counter is no different, everyone there works at a snails pace because hey, why hurry? it's not like they get paid any more for doing a better job or get paid any less for doing a mediocre job. It seems like the work culture there, to be as mediocre as possible with the least amount of effort possible. There's only two guys in the back that's at least reasonable and friendly and two Latina lady that are nice, everyone else looks like you are wasting their time if you even begin asking a question. And boy are they extra mean to Asians who can't speak English properly, instead of trying their best to help, they just act annoyed and pretend they can't understand. Bottom line, don't go there. I only go because I don't feel like driving 7 miles to the other location, but if this keeps up, I just might have to. read more

While waiting to be assisted in line at around 12:30 PM today at this post office a worker with the name of Juanita came in to the main area from a side door. She asked in a fairly loud, rude voice if anyone was waiting to perform a transaction payable with a credit card or debit card. No one responded because she was not in uniform and did not introduce herself. Juanita restated her question stating "Really?! No one has a transaction that can be paid with a debit or credit card?" Eventually one lady did step forward, and Juanita responded "Finally! We have someone who is smart!" In making such a rude statement, she was basically stating that the rest of us were not smart. To be honest, this postal worker was mean, nasty, and condescending. I caught her name from our excellent service agent, Han, who was asking for her a couple of questions in order to assist a coworker. I was actually grateful that I was not the recipient of Juanita's rude service, because by the time we were finished with our service agent, who did a great job, the first person that Juanita bumbling in helping was still having to deal with her I'm not saying that I will never go back to that post office, but the one star rating is not a reflection of the other fine US Postal Service workers at that location. However, if I ever have to wait in line and Juanita comes out of the side door, offering her service I will never accept her offer. read more

Absolute joke of an establishment. I spent an entire hour trying to get ahold of someone at the local station where my package is being held. Granted I was 1 digit off when entering the shipping address, I'm now out $150 and have to go to the ER to get the medication I had delivered from an online mental health service. Had someone answered I was told by the 800 number that they would be able to hold it or redeliver it. The minute I saw it wasn't delivered due to my error the site said it would be returned to sender immediately. The 800 number agents (multiple) said this shouldn't be a problem at all and opened a support case - which takes 1-3 DAYS. What good is that if it's being sent back to the sender (who does not do refunds, mind you) tomorrow morning? The DMV would have better customer service even if the building was on fire compared to this location. read more

One of the cleanest post offices I've been to with great services and ample parking. While waiting in line, a person named Deborah approaches the line asking people if they had packages to drop off. She helped me with my package. We went to a machine and it was charging me a higher price. Crazeee machines. I've always preferred the personal touch. Then Deborah took me to the counter where Janet was and Janet was so cheerful and efficient and was able to get me a lower price. It's the main USPS office I go to when I'm in the area, and have been going there for years. They are like any other USPS, and are super-busy during the holiday seasons, but they seem to get ample supply of whatever you may need (e.g., packaging supplies) pretty quickly. The customer service has been okay. I've had both good and not-amazing experiences, but the tasks mostly get taken care of. I had to come by to deal with an issue with holding mail because of my mom's health, but the post office employee refused to provide the my mom's mail to me unless I have a written approval from my mom. Apparently, no other paperwork will work. So, if my mom is completely unable to speak/write at this time, and physically incapable of going to the post office, they're just going to hold the mail forever? Or what about forging a letter; would they even know the difference? This particular experience rubbed me the wrong way, but the employee didn't care and didn't want to deal with me. I'll come by whenever I absolutely have to. Otherwise, heading to other USPS offices and postal annexes. read more

I would like to share a positive experience with walnut post office, which Juanita helped me to retrieve back my package. I got a notification saying my package has delivered into the mail box, however, I didn't see my package in there and apparently it got misplaced in another mailbox if it got delivered. I called the walnut post office and Juanita was the one that helped me. After I gave her all the info, she said she will trace the carrier and see where the package was located and hopefully be able to return it or deliver to the right mailbox. Then the next day I checked I saw my package in my mailbox. Juanita was very helpful during the whole phone conversation and was very professional. read more

The worse customer service. I tried to drop off my package today with pre printed label and I was inquiring if the barcode would scanned since it looks like my printer prints hazy picture. And the staff Yolanda, gave me unprofessional and condenscending treatment from the initial reply, "well whatever you drop off, we take, you fix your computer its not my problem. I cant reprint it" When i had the same worry last year, they would just double check with their scanner or just gave me instruction if it wont work and i had to reprint it. I really didn't want to come to this WAlNUT location. I had a prepaid package just wanted to confirm the address was correct. Of course, Yolanda was there and said" the address is listed in the label so why ask?". So I can't confirm or ask any questions? That's some BS and she charged me extra money which was super weird. It's a prepaid label which means I already paid online.Why would I need to pay the 2nd time?. I had to drive 15 mins to la puente location to have them confirm and shipped.
