Got "full mail box notice" saying that they are keeping all the mails, so I need to pick them up at this location. The notice said that the mails will be sent back to sender if I don't pick the up. So.. Went to this location to pick up my mails. They made me stand there and wait for almost 20 minutes while they are checking for the mails. Guess what answer they gave me "I don't see anything" She sounds like she is unsure if my mails are there or she can't find it, and all she can do is throwing me the phone number of this location to call back and check if my mails are here Spent almost 40 minutes at this post office because of this stupid full mail box notice. He informed me that there is a key broken in the section that my box is located which opens about 10-12 people's mailbox. How sad is it that every day. A postman comes to the location. I'm about ready to go to this post office again to try and submit a temporary mail stop. I dread it and think I'm spinning my wheels. The last 4-5 that I have been there, filled out the form for the period of time that I want the mail stopped, the mail never stops. Worst post office ever. The carrier we had was a thief. He was the only one we had ever had for any length of time. Yesterday I was supposed to receive a package. We have informed delivery. It arrived at the post office, then it was out for delivery, then the status changed to insufficient address. The remainder of the day it still said it would be delivered by 9pm. I called the 800 number today and they didn't have any answers for me. They said they would open a claim. I called the branch 13 times. Nobody answers. It rings until it finally disconnects you. I just checked again and now it says returned to sender. This is all showing up on my informed delivery, which means they have the tracking number which I confirmed with the 800 number, pulls up my address. They are updating it in the system, so they know exactly where this package should be going. This is pure incompetence! When we first moved to Pomona a few years ago, the wicked witch that works there yelled at me when I asked for a piece of tape and told me I would need to purchase an entire roll. I have NEVER had a post office refuse to give me a piece of tape when I'm mailing something. I leave my packages unsealed until I get there so that I can make sure I am mailing it in the most efficient way. I do not give my business to Pomona anymore. I go out of my way to go to La Verne or Claremont. They don't treat everyone like criminals. They smile and don't act like miserable zombies. read more

While the service is adequate, I am extremely disappointed in their COVID 19 safety measures. Several patrons were permitted in the building without masks, and although the are safe social distance markers placed throughout the building, no one was monitoring it. People were bunched up in line practically on top of each other. Also, as many other establishments have sanitizer located in their buildings, the post office didn't have any anywhere, and the office is dirty. Reality they never actually attempted it. We have the video record I now have to figure out how to get it. This post office is a sad example of how low socioeconomic communities receive subpar services. Cross over to the border in La Verne and they have a fully functioning staff as well as the kiosk where you can get receipts. However this antiquated one consistently has very long lines, one or two people max working and only one guy who mans the drop offs- and often disappears and can not be found. Do you want to get a receipt for your package in case it's lost (which these days is actually quite likely)- well- too bad you usually have to wait in a line of 10 people for a small task that a kiosk could provide. The saving grace is usually the very nice and humorous workers at the counter. I had a service request to find a package that was scanned as delivered but i never got it , so I was very concerned , I was wondering where my package was . I haven't been to this post office in a while due to some issues before. But I really needed a passport and even though I didn't have an appointment I decided to try to walk in and see if they could accommodate me. I got there and walked right up to the desk. They let me "walk-in" to get my passport. They were super nice and friendly. The process was so quick and the person who helped me was knowledgeable about the process. There has definitely been some improvement in overall quality here. The customer service aspect has improved, and having no wait time was the best. Do not use this post office if you have something important to mail out! Came in the other week and personally handed an envelope to the clerk to mail out which happened to have a check inside. Get a text from my landlord a couple days later to come to find out that the check was stolen from the envelope and the post office mailed the envelope in a secure post office bag from the post office, which clearly indicates that someone at this post office stole the check!! This left me having to change my bank account numbers and update all my automatic payments, etc which took me hours and a headache to do! Went today for passport appointments (3 were scheduled). The time scheduled was 11-11:45. One person backed out due to having to work. We were about 8 mins late however my allotted time was from 11-11:45. We were told that the person(Irma) that does them was not there and would be right back. At 11:38 she finally came back 30 mins later and the regular line was super long. The person told her that she had an appointment. She finally called us over then told us that she would need to ask the supervisor. The supervisor said they would only be able to do 1. The appointment was a 45 min block. This review is based on today's visit. Needed to mail a few parcels mailed off and this post office was in the vicinity of the errands I needed to run, so I dropped in. There were a few other customers in line before I was up. I took note to the employees interactions with the customers and all seemed well, they were courteous and answered the customers questions. I was up, and was greeted by the employee. I gave her my envelopes, she gave me a few stamps that I placed onto the envelopes, I paid my money and was sent off with a "have a nice day sir." They stole my Xbox and left the game. Broke my Pyrex pan and went through most of my boxes and then retapped them. I wasn't offered insurance and therefore didn't get it. Yea I know better than what I did now but I damn sure didn't think my things would get stolen on the way there. I don't get how people can be so cruel! You're taking from a family you know nothing about and for what? To give to yours! You really took a whole Xbox and control and left the games . Horrible service. Older Asian Gentleman was trying send a package. His English wasn't great, but he was trying. He didn't have the box taped up. The lady he went to didn't even try to help him. She handed him tape and the tag and had him go to another area. It was obvious he was having trouble and didn't know what to do. The employee then started talking trash about him in Spanish to another employee. It took another customer to help him with the tape (older guy didn't have the hand dexterity to manipulate the roll). Another employee then said, (In spanish), "That's why you need to speak Spanish or English." When he finally got the package set up, she waived her finger at him and said Sayanara (Im pretty sure he wasn't Japanese) and laughed at him. Very unprofessional. I felt horrible for the older guy. UPDATE: I went to the post office June 25. It is now July 8th and my package that weighs 1 pound 3 oz has yet to be delivered. It was supposed to be delivered by June 28. For the last week I have been checking for updates nothing has changed it says my item is in "transit" but has yet to leave the Pomona location. The expected delivery date is reflecting a date that has already passed. That makes no sense. How has a 1 pound item that is 1 hour away from its destination can't seem to get to its location or have updates about its status? My mail lady (that belongs to this office) stole my mail. Marking my package delivered though I never received it. My complex and ring camera confirmed that no package was delivered. Upon requesting package information I spoke to Nate who tracked my package and said my mail lady had" miss located" my package. When I received it I received a package with a different package than the original, the tags had been removed from the clothing I ordered and it smelled like BO as the clothing had obviously been worn. This is disgusting. Stealing mail is a federal crime, and shouldn't be taken lightly, I am certain this employee has a history of stealing and is clear their using their job to commit crimes. Always get the wrong mail for the street behind me (same number but wrong street name). Or mail from across the street on the perpendicular street (different street name and different first 2 numbers but the same 2 last numbers). Also, have a note in the mailbox because we are still getting the mail for the deceased previous owner (it's been 2 years). Post office doesn't answer the phone so you have to go in person. This must be challenging for anyone who can't get to the post office for whatever reason. Tried talking to the carrier but new carriers still make the mistakes on their days they fill in. From past experience, I've known carriers to leave notes at their sort stations so anyone covering their shifts will get the notes. This post office is the only one I've ever had that I've had these many challenges with and no one answers the phone for the 4 years I've lived in this zip code and the 2 years since living in my home.
