Damaged item doesn't fit in the opening of mailbox. Item still in the mailbox

This review is for the mail delivery person at USPS VACAVILLE (95687). April 19, 2023 at around 7pm I went to our mailbox to check if my package I was waiting already came. Unfortunately I couldn't take out my package and that made me wonder how in the world they manage to put it in there???? I had to open my package from inside to take the other item included in my package. It was wrapped in bubble wrap, I removed the bubble wrap thinking it might fit in the opening of the mailbox but OMG! my item was broken! They usually put a key in the mailbox if a package is big. - TO USPS IN VACAVILLE serving 95687 please retrain/refresh your mail delivery people hopefully this will not happen again. *This thing is still in our mailbox

I guess no one really wants to purchase postcard stamps. Took the worker some time to flip through the 3-ring binder of stuff. Got my stamps in the end. No machine interaction. Not an indictment of this place but I doubt I will return. No reason.

A variety of shipping supplies, stocked and ready for shipment

This location is a bit strange and hidden behind a 7-11 and a Del taco. The physical location is quite small and they have the mailboxes when you enter to the left. The entrance is to the right and considering the small capacity the line is always out the door. With two workers (moderately friendly staff) the line moves relatively quickly, I only waited for about 10 minutes to send a package. FYI: bring your own tape

It was downhill from there. When I uploaded my artwork to the FedEx site, it looked like the art would be cut off, even though I had sized it exactly with no bleed. I called the store and they said not to worry because they would use the art I'd emailed while at the store. They only referred me to the online store so I could get the great price. A few hours later, they called to say the job was ready. I went back to the store and the job they had for me was not my job. Oops! Mine would be ready the next day. I never got a call saying my job was ready, but when I called them, they said it was. So off I go to the FedEx store again. The job was ready, but only half the quantity I ordered. They said they'd have them in 45 minutes, but I decided to go home and pick them up the next day. When I came to pick them up, the were not ready! They'd had a power outage last night, so they said. (But they were supposed to be done yesterday afternoon!) So I'm standing here at the counter writing this review while they do the job as I wait. Then, they're trimmed wrong, but I let them off the hook and just had them trim them a little more. It's been an adventure! The quality of the printing is okay, and they refunded me the cost of the cards that got trimmed wrong.

Every UPS store I dealt with in the past for Amazon returns seemed to have the process down: scan the code, package if need to, put some tape, issue receipt. Easy in and out with minimal wait for the most part. As soon as I saw what Vacaville Staples has come down to nowadays, I knew this wouldn't be a similar experience. The space is now split in 2, with the larger part belonging to Dollar Tree. What's left of Staples is small, but somehow still disorganized store. At least there are signs where the Amazon returns are handled, so i walked straight past the registers to reach one unhappy employee dealing with a line of about 5 customers, herself surrounded by multiple boxes. Like a robot, she would ask everyone the same question in an annoyed voice: "how many items?". Once she would scan the code, her body language doesn't even try to hide how much she hates doing this. In between sighs and heavy breathing, I felt like leaving before it was even my turn. Just being in the same space made me feel uncomfortable, like I was doing something wrong. Just as I reached the counter, this Staples employee starts rummaging through boxes and said it will be couple of minutes. Yes, there are still about 4-5 people behind me waiting and the only employee that is handling the returns is moving items to different boxes. Let that register. Once she was finished; same robotic question. She then printed out the sticker, slapped it on the item, and threw it into the box. Finally, asks "any questions?". Hell no, I just want to get out of here. It's a true shame that Amazon is letting Staples handle their returns and that Staples does not care about at least some basic customer service. I'm not sure where this employee's frustration comes from, but taking it out on customers surely will not help her cause. Two stars just because the return showed up as accepted in my Amazon account, but I surely hope I never have to come back here.
