Oh the humanity! The lines are especially long now that the "help" window is closed. 30 in the queue. The line wraps throughout the office and out to the lobby. I observed an employee resting her left cheek on her left hand possibly indicating boredom. Several people tired of the wait and just left. Wow, I am so disappointed in this post office. I drove over in the middle of a non-holiday weekday with a simple small package to mail, and a question regarding tracking on a recent mailing. I was shocked to discover that there was no counter service - door was locked, lights off, no one in sight! In addition, it seems impossible to reach an actual person by phone. I've also had terrible recent experiences with USPS mail getting lost in transit, one item being an important large certified check...that resulted in my having to pay the amount again, go into my bank branch twice, AND wait 90 days to have the money finally returned to my account since the check was lost. Needless to say, the additional frustration of not being able to speak to a person at the post office is maddening. The USPS system is totally broken and I now opt to use other mail services whenever possible. read more

Tessie at the counter was wonderful! She was extremely helpful and patient guiding me through the process of getting my PO Box set up. I also frequent this location to drop off packages and they are prompt with their scan in and shipment (I have had issues at other post offices in the area and this one is the only one I've found reliable and consistent to scan in shipments same day when I drop them off in the parcel drop box. I run a small business and this is vital for me!). When I come after hours to drop off in the drop box the area is well lit and I feel totally safe. They are always kind & helpful, even when the lines get long and are dealing with cranky people. read more

By the looks of it most people only post a review of our US Post Office in Temecula when they have something to gripe about. I am not writing to bitch and moan about our postal service and or our post office. We recently visited the post office to update our passports. We were a bit early and the employee that oversees this was on lunch break. Seeing us wait near the station that takes care of passports was none other than the Postmaster herself, Alicia Milan. Alicia came out and greeted us, found us a place to sit and engaged in some conversation to make sure we were comfortable. That is testament of a lead by example supervisor. We were impressed. Our visit and the passport process was simple and went smoothly. I would award 5 stars if not for the employee returning from lunch 15 minutes late for our appointment. We had no place to be but late does constitute a reduction of stars. Elite tip - if you go for a passport do not schedule for 1:30 because her lunch break is 1:00 to 1:30 PM. It's ok. Not the worst post office ever, but certainly not the best. My main complaint is that it's impossible to drop off any mail after hours in their mailboxes! Even the drive through mailboxes outside are locked! I've accidentally driven here twice to do so and then remembered they're locked, and that you can't get in to use the drop box inside either. I really wonder what people with PO Boxes here do? If there's another way to drop off mail after hours, please let me know! read more

I tried mailing an important letter through here twice and it was returned twice. The company I was responding to provided a business envelope which said no postage was needed. The post office returned it so I thought ok maybe I'll just put stamps on it and try again. It was returned a second time. What does it matter what type of envelope I use. It just has a clear window that fits my reply letter to the sender perfectly. On top of that I paid for it and they have the audacity to return it. Now I have to drive down to the location tomorrow so my letter makes it before the deadline because you guys wanted to be a$$holes. Thank you USPS. read more

At no point has anyone ever picked up the phone so I can speak with a representative using their telephone number. It just rings and rings until it disconnects. Doesn't matter which day or which time I call. Has anyone ever had success with someone picking up the phone at this location? I have been to this post office previously. Dont recall having any bad experience. Today I went to ship few items and I had an outstanding experience. Super fast. I was in and out within 10 minutes. The big black woman has a bad attitude and doesn't seem to care. I've been there twice, first time was great. They had a greeter that was helpful in guiding costumers the right way to make things more efficient. Second time I went it was a shit show - that's when I met little Ms 'Sunshine'. Every time I have called this post office they have been extremely helpful, especially Matthew! We just moved to the area and had a back up of mail and they were so nice to have someone from their office come hand deliver a big batch of extra mail to our home. Another time, I called and Matthew answered and I was having a hard time tracking down a package. Matthew was able to help as much as he could, as it turns out I called the wrong mail service (it was a UPS not USPS tracking LOL). I have lived on both coats and this is by far the most helpful USPS office I have ever encountered! read more

My husband and I had an appointment to apply for passports for the first time. The lady, Tensie was so patient, kind, and helpful. There was a lady before us being helped- we waited less than 5 minutes. We were greeted by a young gentleman (believe his name was Matthew or mark) at the little desk before meeting with Tensie. They both go above and beyond for their customers. A different lady arrived while we were being helped and asked if the gentleman spoke Spanish, before we knew it Tensie and the young gentleman pulled their phones out because they had downloaded a translating app to help communicate. They STOLE my moms album and my $20 to mail it to her. I filed a claim and no one has gotten back to me. What other business can get away with taking your money and not doing anything for it?????? I honestly don't understand the one-star reviews. I've shipped from here more than a handful of times and have never had an encounter with rude clerks. I think some people might confuse efficiency with rudeness. The fact is, many people should know what they are doing before they get there. If you're in need of a passport, make sure ya don't show up 15mins prior to them taking last acceptance of passports for the day, which is at 4pm even though their website says 4:30!!! There were 3 other people in line in front of me and they only got to 2 of them; the person in front of me, myself, and 2 others after, did not get to have our paperwork filed! The lady drank her Pepsi, grabbed the papers, and walked out the door; did not even say 1 word to any of us waiting in line. Another employee asked if we were waiting for passports and we all said yes and he said, "oh she finishes at 4" I told him it was rude and unprofessional that she didn't even let any of us know, so we wouldn't be wasting our time in line... Scanned package 22lbs at this post office via priority mail 2day delivery.Scanned November 9 to arrive November 11.Postage was $63.31.Last scanned San Bernandido November 13.This is the last time the package was seen. Have been to this post office several times to help find the package.The response was"what do you want me to do about it""file a claim online that is not our department." I filed the necessary forms online.Usual government bureaucracy have not heard back.The package is lost or stolen.The post office could not even tell me if I will be reimbursed for the postage."Thats a different department." If you want slow incompetent service this is your spot. Unfortunately I have to pick up my packages here because the post man doesnt believe on checking if anyone is home and just leaves a slip in my mail box instead of delivering my items. Anytime something required a signature I have to go to this post office. They tried to argue that they need a 24 hour turn around for redelivery through their website. While I had in my hand a redelivery slip the post man left in my mailbox stating they couldn't deliver and I was home all day. Bottom Line they s*ck! But I've been here multiple times and have never waited more than 15 minutes. The employees I've dealt with have been very nice and helpful except for one but whatever. Just came in to locate a piece of mail that was lost by them the first time, right off the bat she was rude and unhelpful, then pushed me aside to "supervisor" I never saw a supervisor, they just let me stand there for 30 mins until I asked for the second time why I need to even speak to a supervisor. If the first employee just did her job then it would of been a very easy fast transaction. Terrible customer service. Janice in particular is aggressive and unhelpful on the phone and nearly as bad in person. This post office doesn't follow standard procedures outlined on the USPS site and they surely don't show common sense when it comes to personal or business related mail services. (I use them for both). This breakdown in management appears systemic as calls to postmaster have all been ignored. Ironically this is a totally different experience than a couple miles down the road at the two Murrieta post offices. I realize that it's a bloated federal organization, but even in that environment a decent manager can help spread a culture of helpful, customer-oriented employees. The lady that manages the passport center is one of the most inconsiderate government workers that I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with, and that's saying a lot. My Dad and I walked into the post office inquiring about a passport around 2:30 PM. It was fairly crowded, and the manager informed us that our best bet would be to return at 3:30, as the only clerk that was on the clock HAD to take her lunch break and would return by 3:30 to continue to take walk-in appointments. With an hour to spare, my Dad and I killed time in a few retail stores across town. We returned to the post office promptly by 3:30, and the manager then proceeded to tell us that the clerk still hadn't taken a lunch break. She advised us to return in the morning when the passport center reopens. I made a comment about how it would have been nice to have been told that they were unable to serve us before we wasted an hour of our time, and she had the audacity to retort that they may have been able to serve us had we showed up with a completed application. The application would have been completed if she handed us an application earlier during our initial conversation and instruction to return in an hour. Sadly, there is no excuse for poor customer service and stupidity. read more
