I wish you could give a zero I went in and spoke to these people about an important piece of mail I was receiving, and then we had my mail held I go back in to collect the mail in the same lady tells me that I'm doing it illegally when she's the one that told me how to do it. Then I never get the piece of mail that I'm asking for. This is the worst post office ever. I went in five times to collect mail and then when I got there she said oh it's not your name ..... terrible, older, blonde, haired woman. I cannot remember her name but she's awful and she should not be working with customers. She should take a note from a post office that's on about 236th I think it's 336th and Federal Way. I do not have mail service at my home in Midland but I have a PO Box in Lakewood. Recently, someone sent a package to my home via the Postal Service, which I always tell people not to do.. We moved to Midland area Sept 2023 and from day 1 have had issues with our residential mail lady. She continually holds our mail for multiple reasons without notifying us. Over & over this happens. We go into the Parkland Post office and no one there has any idea what's going on and they don't have our mail. Mind you customer service is very poor at best. Some of the clerks are nice enough, just plan on being there a very long time. I have yet to have anyone answer the phone over the past 9 months. Withholding our mail has created the worst havoc in our lives, with informed delivery we know what we should receive and if our mail is being withheld then eventually we should get it, but we don't. Valentine's Day nightmare. I received a call from my brothers girlfriend his Valentine's Day gift was sent back to the post office due to him miss typing the address for her. Calling all over the US Post Offices around Tacoma no one could help me until I called the one off Garfield. They were quick to track down the package and figure out where it was sent. On May 8th this hateful postman threw my packages in the pouring rain. When I submitted a tracking number it stated handed packages to an individual. Such a blatant lie. I can't understand why these people are still employed. No one answers the phone. Although earlier when I first started complaining a supervisor called me twice. He stated a lot of complaints have been filed. And I should get my Doctor to write a note explaining my disability and why my packages should be delivered to my door. I'm not sure that a review on a federal run business really does anything BUT if you don't have to go to this office, I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU GO ELSEWHERE! I live in Parkland for now so problems with my mailbox have to be taken care of here, however they don't really take care of much. I'll admit my irresponsible behavior in that I lost the key to my community mailbox but their assistance is severely lacking! Yes, they popped the lock for me and directed me to go replace the lock. They directed me to Home Depot and Lowe's to get a new lock, didn't tell me a size, gave me no details on which lock to get. Months went by as I kept going to these hardware stores and having to return each lock that once again did NOT fit! While I was putting all this effort in with no assistance from them or true direction, the carrier kept leaving ugly notes letting me know my box is insecure along with notes saying my box was vacant, when it wasn't. I left them notes asking for more patience as well as a little more guidance while they replied that they weren't maintenance! They then left me a note last week saying they were holding my mail until the lock is fixed. While still working on finding the right lock, I went to the office and asked for my held mail. The staff there said there was no mail being held for me. I explained what was going on and asked where my mail actually is. The actually helpful staff upfront told me where I can get a lock that works, exactly where the USPS buys their locks, it's NOT Home Depot or Lowe's and THEN she asked her supervisor to come help me. The supervisor basically told me I was stupid telling me that the carrier says my mail has been delivered every day even without a lock on it and I need to just take care of the lock, it's not hard and they can be purchased ANYWHERE!! I went directly to my box, it's of course empty and I left my carrier a not telling them to give me my mail, hold my mail but do NOT lie! They left me a note in reply, NO MAIL UNTIL BOX IS FIXED!! I went to Guardian Security in Tacoma who were very helpful, gave me the exact lock I needed, full direction to install and offered to come help. I was able to replace the lock quickly and before mail would be delivered! My mail still has NOT been delivered!!! One would think that working for a federally run office, professionalism would be at the highest, so very sad that I will have to go back to that office again... I do recommend Guardian Security though I'm also appreciative of the woman who worked up front who was ever so helpful, polite and recommended Guardian Security, I didn't get her name, she walks with a cane and I hope she gets to retire while getting away from that hateful supervisor of hers! read more

RANT: I am completely disappointed and disgusted with our federal government USPS!!! Our mailboxes have been getting broken into, incoming and outgoing ( they are locked boxes). USPS has come out and fixed them after 3 weeks of having to go pick up our mail at the post office. Life went back to normal. We walked out to get our mail last week and we had all new mailboxes!!!! No key to open them!! No one told us they were being replaced so of course no one told us how to get our key! 2 days go by and a message was sent out on our community newsletter that the keys were at the post office to pick up! On Friday I go to the post office on pacific and Garfield, and was told "we don't have the keys"! " they will be dropped off at your house sometime Saturday". Well knowing we were not going to be home, I let the woman know. There was nothing she could do so she got Gabriel, THE SUPERVISOR! Gabriel mad me wait 15ins before he rudely came out to "see what I needed"! I explained the situation to him just to hear him say "what do you want me to do about it, we don't have the keys, there in the mailbox"! MIND YOU THE MAILMAN WAS DELIVERING OUR MAIL WHEN OUR KEYS WEREI SIDE THE BOX!!!! Gabriel then told me that if we we not going to be home, they could leave the keys on our door!!!! WTF... YOUR FIXING THE MAILBOXES BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE STEALING MAIL SO PLEASE PUT THE KEY ON MY FRONT DOOR WITH A NOTE POINTING TO MY MAIL BOX!!!!!! 15 minutes arguing with Gabriel and him telling me " I guess you will just get your mail whenever you get your key" amping other mind blowing comments, I requested Gabriel to not leave the keys on my door, that was the stupidest decision I had heard, I walked out!!! Obviously I had to go a different rout to let our mail. It's Saturday, we left this morning and just got home....THIS IS WHAT WE FOUND! NOTE ON THE DOOR WITH KEYS HANGING THERE WITH THE MAILBOX NUMBER ON THE KEYS!!!! NOT TO MENTION THE MAIL WE HAD IN OUR BOX THAT COULD HAVE BEEN STOLEN INCLUDED FINANCIAL INFORMATION, MY 401K INFORMATION WITH ALL MY PERSONAL INFO ON IT, A PACKAGE AND BILLS BUSINESS LICENSE RENEWAL!!!!! We had put our mail on hold during a vacation and they were able to get our plethora of mail delivered to us upon our return. We didn't even have to go pick it up. Always available for shipping needs (at a good cost) and has a bunch of stamps to choose from., PO boxes located indoors in a well lit area, and the staff seem happy to be of service. I asked if she was available. She then proceeded to look me up and down and then responded with an abrupt, "NO". It is not ok for someone in customer service to take their work time to decline service to a customer. On top of that, there is no need to be blatantly rude. It's not even worth my time to write this because nothing will ever change here, but I am MAD. This post office does close at 5:30pm but the lobby is supposed to be open until 6, including a 6pm mail pickup at the drop box inside. I really count on that 6pm pickup for my business. I pack orders all day and then get them there by 6. It really doesn't work when they are always shutting the lights off and locking up by 5:50. I just spent the last ten minutes banging on the door and yelling through the crack, because there is a 6pm pickup and they will not honor it. I went to look around the back and it was buzzing with trucks coming in and workers unloading. But I bet I'd have my head chopped off if I tried to waltz in there with my packages because they won't honor the drop box in the lobby. I'm too scared to do that. If you're still there working in the back, then what hardship is it to wait until 6 to lock the doors? I've also had my packages stolen from the blue box outside, as well as had a package "lost" within that tiny post office for a whole week. All I got from the manager was a blank stare and a shrug. I absolutely hate this branch. And forget ever going here to get in line for something. You'd have to be out of your mind. Go to the Spanaway office for that, every time. read more

Carriers refuse to deliver mail and use foul language. Attempt to show facts to supervisors and to many people want to place blame instead of doing their jobs they are paid a good wage for!! Their customer service is the same in person and over the phone. If u have time to waste and want packages to be processed late, this is the post office you want to go to. Average wait time is about 20 min. Usually there is 2 ladies working there but one is always doing paperwork or something, which only leaves 1 person for all the customers. I called this morning and after a fifteen minute hold the man on the phone answered, I was polite and asked if he can check when my package would arrive since tracking said it was there for 4 days, I also mentioned I had not received any notice. I had everything ready, like my tracking number. He said he didn't have time to check and to call back later, and if it says that it's there sometimes its not. He made no sense but there was no point in arguing, I thanked him for his time and hung up. read more

If you go into this post office in the morning before open hours to pick up at package be sure to bring something to eat and drink because you'll be there awhile. My fastest time to get someone to come to the package pickup door is 20 minutes and that's after ring the buzzer many times, holding the buzzer down, banging on the door, kicking the door and yelling at one of the vents between the lobby and work area just trying to get someone's attention. They play the music so loud that they can't hear the buzzer and that's if they have even turned it on. The package pickup is supposed to open at 6 am and be manned from that time on. It's ridiculous that the average wait time is 30 - 45 minutes before someone helps you. Then they tell you there is no need to kick the door or yell through the vent you just need to ring the bell (yeah like that works) and when you say you rang the bell/buzzer several times they get a look on their face that says you're a liar. I work nights and the last thing I want to do is wait another 30 - 40 minutes to pick up my package before I can go to sleep. Either turn the music down/off or make your buzzer fire station loud. read more

A little PSA to make the lines at the post office shorter: You can buy stamps on ebay, people! You can also print shipping labels online for Priority Mail. Just take some boxes with you in case you need it. Bring a pen with you too. Anyways, for the review... I've been here a few times and there always seems to be a long line of people and only about 2? women working. It's a pretty small post office. This post office is very close to my parents house so I keep stopping by but every time I'm so disappointed with the waiting time. Every time there is 1 person and at least 20-25 people in the waiting line. And no matter what they wouldn't send an additional clerk to help out. I can never get out in under 20 min. It is really frustrating! With that said the staff is friendly I just wish there were more helping out. Also the tapes are located behind the clerks desks. I sell a lot of things on eBay and 99% of the time my items are packaged and pre- paid and all I need is a tape to tape it up and I can't do that before hand and once it's my turn to just pay for the tape instead of standing in line for 30 min and then spend additional 5-10 min trying to tape up my packages. read more
