Note to anyone visiting this post office: be sure to pack a lunch because you are going to be here awhile. There are no lobby services like stamp machines or automated package shipping, just dog slow counter service. Best to find other options and save yourself some time.

RANT: I am completely disappointed and disgusted with our federal government USPS!!! Our mailboxes have been getting broken into, incoming and outgoing ( they are locked boxes). USPS has come out and fixed them after 3 weeks of having to go pick up our mail at the post office. Life went back to normal. We walked out to get our mail last week and we had all new mailboxes!!!! No key to open them!! No one told us they were being replaced so of course no one told us how to get our key! 2 days go by and a message was sent out on our community newsletter that the keys were at the post office to pick up! On Friday I go to the post office on pacific and Garfield, and was told "we don't have the keys"! " they will be dropped off at your house sometime Saturday". Well knowing we were not going to be home, I let the woman know. There was nothing she could do so she got Gabriel, THE SUPERVISOR! Gabriel mad me wait 15ins before he rudely came out to "see what I needed"! I explained the situation to him just to hear him say "what do you want me to do about it, we don't have the keys, there in the mailbox"! MIND YOU THE MAILMAN WAS DELIVERING OUR MAIL WHEN OUR KEYS WEREI SIDE THE BOX!!!! Gabriel then told me that if we we not going to be home, they could leave the keys on our door!!!! WTF... YOUR FIXING THE MAILBOXES BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE STEALING MAIL SO PLEASE PUT THE KEY ON MY FRONT DOOR WITH A NOTE POINTING TO MY MAIL BOX!!!!!! 15 minutes arguing with Gabriel and him telling me " I guess you will just get your mail whenever you get your key" amping other mind blowing comments, I requested Gabriel to not leave the keys on my door, that was the stupidest decision I had heard, I walked out!!! Obviously I had to go a different rout to let our mail. It's Saturday, we left this morning and just got home....THIS IS WHAT WE FOUND! NOTE ON THE DOOR WITH KEYS HANGING THERE WITH THE MAILBOX NUMBER ON THE KEYS!!!! NOT TO MENTION THE MAIL WE HAD IN OUR BOX THAT COULD HAVE BEEN STOLEN INCLUDED FINANCIAL INFORMATION, MY 401K INFORMATION WITH ALL MY PERSONAL INFO ON IT, A PACKAGE AND BILLS BUSINESS LICENSE RENEWAL!!!!! THANKS USPS! OUTSTANDING JOB ON PROTECTING OUR INFORMATION!!!

Horrible customer service. For a government agency where the tax dollars go, you need to do better. At least answer the phone. Ridiculous.

As someone who sells items online for extra cash and a P.O. Box customer, I'm here at this post…read moreoffice all the time... at least 3X a week I come in to check my P.O. Box and often sending packages out as well. I understand why many other reviewers are frustrated as a lot of the time I come in the wait times to be helped at the counter are ridiculous and I'll admit in the past I've had postal workers misplace packages of mine and accidentally give me other customers packages which is very concerning but eventually everything gets worked out when that has happened and I haven't had either of those issues lately. I definitely can understand why their lines are so backed up considering they've been short staffed for quite some time which is common in most businesses right now. You'd be lucky to see two people working at the counter and one helping with the package pickup door on a good day but most of the time I've been in the past couple months it's only been one very hardworking lady holding it down and she is the reason I'm writing this review today. Her name is Lisa and I for one really applaud her hard work and dedication! I know she must really be exhausted by the end of the work day since she seems to be doing 90% of the work herself! Weather or not you guys get more workers in to help her soon, I'm telling you she needs a damn raise ASAP !! Being in line with others at the post office I've seen how so many of the other people are in pissy moods as they are very vocal about that but they're not empathetic to the work situation here ... I'd be losing my damn mind if I had to do everything she does with long ass lines. At one point I considered working for USPS as a delivery driver but did lots of research and I can understand why they may not be getting many applications for any of the positions because they're standards are very high... they may give you a day off but even on "days off" now, don't really consider them days off because you're basically on stand by and they can call you any moment and you'd have to go in if you want to keep your job. A lot of us have tough, physically and/or mentally demanding jobs at this time but after researching what it's like for USPS workers I'm extremely grateful for the service job I have. I know it's easier said than done but try to be patient and understanding as workers like Lisa are human beings like you just trying to make it through the work week, working their butt off trying to provide you with the best possible service they can. Take that into consideration next time you're waiting in line instead of making angry faces and whispering (not so softly) to the person next to you in line about how "BS" the wait time or service is.. who knows, you might just get some good karma come your way if you do ;) Love and light x

I recently lost a valuable package due to a misdelivery, and despite it being the post office's…read moreerror, they made no real effort to help me recover it. They simply repeated what the scan showed -- "delivered in mailbox" -- even though I never received it. They also told me they couldn't knock on doors to check who might've received the wrong key. That day, only three parcel lockers were open. If my package was misdelivered, one of those boxes would have received my key. If not, then the key was never placed in my mailbox at all. So where did my package actually go? Unfortunately, they closed the case immediately with no real investigation and no follow-up. This experience has left me unable to trust them with my deliveries. And based on previous reviews, this kind of issue has happened to others as well. I cannot recommend this post office for resolving misdelivered packages -- they take no responsibility when things go wrong.

After living in this state for almost literally forever and at different residences, I had the…read moreunfortunate situation with my mail carrier at my place after I moved there last summer, would give me my mail and then some but return at least 5 packages that were necessary and important in their own way. I stopped by when I checked in via yelp to correct the situation. On a late Saturday morning, spent about a hour in line and the ladies were kind and helpful but was told a few times I would need to fill out a green form to receive all my mail and that it would take 2 weeks to complete. I told her that Ive moved countless times and never had an establishment or a carrier not give that info or provide a form to me, as usps online is easy to update as is. Unfortunately the saga stretched up until last week when another package was returned after the fact and I called to usps to escalate the issue. The reply from the Lakewood office was quick enough but strange as the supervisor in email didnt acknowledge the error with her front end staff and carrier, didn't apologize the green form I signed was lost or for her carrier being petty and not giving the form in my mailbox as they should have been. Even us leaving notes for the carrier, it kept going. However they had me sign it again with now the carrier giving me a green form in my mailbox. Ive had at least 3 other corporate carriers find me (Amazon, FedEx, Trackit) multiple times since being here yet it seems the stigma of USPS precedes this location as well. Lately last few packages have arrived since then yet Im still a bit apprehensive every time! If theres a reply from usps on here, Im happy to share more receipts :)
