I will acknowledge that apologies were exchanged, and I did get my item, but this would never have happened if I hadn't lost my temper and had an actual shouting match with the counter staff. After which, apparently the people in line behind me let them know how much they sucked for the way I was treated. A stark reminder that we are not "customers" of the postal service.

For the second time mail totally unrelated to our residence has been left in our mail box. Both times required return of the misdirected items to the Allyn Post Office. According to the Post Master there's little his authority can do about contract services. Pass it along Post Master, those in charge of contract services need to be aware this is unacceptable performance.

I most love the large package lockers that allow my packages to be safe and secure. When I rented the PO Box, I also got a "package" address to give when ordering packages. Any licensed service can deliver packages to this USPS, using this address. I receive everything from Amazon deliveries to medications at this address, where they are safe from porch pirates and the weather. All for $200 a year. Great service. 5 stars.

This office isn't too far from the South Colby location (which also defaults to Port Orchard). Anyway, this is a cute little office. There are usually only 2-3 people inside including the workers. I guess it doesn't serve a large area of population or maybe with so many other choices in the area you can go to another office. I remember I went here right after the holidays and they weren't busy in there I guess since the rush was over and were oddly nice considering it was a post office.

I swear to god I feel that one day I'm going to meet Barney Fife in there and we are going to head-over to Floyd's for a trim. They lose one star because of the garbage situation that that property puts onto the customers. Pretty "tragedy of the commons" to be honest.
