We've had bad experiences with international movers before, so we wanted to make sure we went with the right company this time. Let me tell you: Sunset International Shipping is that moving company. The movers were on time, got the job done efficiently, and secured our furniture with protective materials to ensure their safety during transport. They were also very professional and friendly. If you're in the Seattle area and need to move overseas, I can't recommend Sunset International Shipping enough.

With everything included, her budget was met, and she saved money on boxing her own items as she is particular about her stuff. It landed on schedule and we were both happy with the outcome of their service! John at Sunset pulled through and he came in clutch with the big help.

I sent an email to them asking about the load, I had no response from her/them. Any kind of response or letting me know that they booked the Load with someone else beforehand, as to not have my time wasted. Typical Broker stuff, lacking integrity, and simply just answering somebody back. That's what I do. I'm not interested. I just go ahead and tell him I just don't respond to them. That's rude and unprofessional.. typical Broker type stuff, they jump up and down and running in circles, like a dog that wants a treat if they need something from you, the second they don't, it's like you died, hahaha

Horrible experience…read more We scheduled an "afternoon" move, in advance. After speaking with Ryan we informed him that we only have the elevator for the new apartment reserved until 5pm. He ensured us it would be no issue since he'd be at our current home between 11am - 1pm. We figured it would work out just fine and he sounded genuine. Fast forward to moving day. We had spent tons of labor boxing, throwing away and cleaning our current home. 11am rolls around and we are excited to get into our awesome new place and have a fun night of decorating and getting everything looking nice. We hear he should be done with his morning job around 12pm and be on his way here shortly after. It's a few minutes to 1pm so we decide to send a polite text to check his ETA. He's still stringing us along saying he's almost done and still at the job. But he's in Lynwood (we are located in Renton) and rush hour is nearing. We figured maybe he could be here at 2 - 2:15 but that's the latest we could handle so we patiently waited. 1:45 comes around and he's still handling the first job with no clear end in sight. At this point we just cancel and catch a snarky attitude for being impatient when they were on course to be at our home at 3:30pm or later. From there they would have loaded by 5pm and been on the road right in the heart of rush hour. Maybe we get to the new apartment by 6pm. We would have no reserved elevator and everyone is coming home at that time so every piece of furniture carries the additional cost of waiting for the elevator to come down and our easy move doubles the hourly allotment it should take. Morale of the story, you get what you pay for. I've now lost faith in movers and am going to move everything myself because at least I know I can count on myself. To the owner, quit letting dollar signs cloud your judgement over customer service. The latter is what leads to longevity in a business.

At approximately 9am (one hour late already) he text that they were waiting on another guy to show up and that they would be about another hour or so. Then about 10:30 am texts and says they will just have to do the job the next day because the extra guy did not show up. Then texts me on Tuesday 9/10 asking if we are ready for them to do the job. I replied back with a few expletives that i will not post on here. Then I receive a call (253-999-5546) wanting to know why we did not want them to do the job a day later. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I sent Girlfriends an email explaining I was on grandma duty and asked if they could bring the items to my car - a service they politely but clearly exclude in their on line contract. They respond to my email right away, they offered to bring the stuff out to my car AND an alternative pick up time to assure we did not have to wait. Baby girl slept thru the whole process. They took a quick inventory, helped us move everything to their warehouse, and handled the entire auction process. And the best part? They have an online portal where you can track everything--kind of like watching your own personal estate sale unfold, but without the stress or the heavy lifting. When I called the company, after getting the run-around for hours, a manager said I was just upset because 'men and women handle these things differently'. He also said the mover wasn't naked, he had just "pulled his pants down and taken off his shirt..." I was relieved when they were finally gone, until I found that almost everything I own was unloaded into a massive pile in the center of my living room, despite room labels on boxes and furniture. Boxes for bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living room and almost all of the furniture were just a massive jumble - a mountain in the center of one room. A couch was broken, and boxes labeled fragile were stacked upside down with heavier items on top of them. The whole thing was a nightmare.
