We stopped in, waited briefly for our turn, mailed our cards, bought extra stamps and were on our way. It was efficient, easy and the person working behind the counter was helpful and friendly. There was really nothing overwhelming - positive or negative - about the experience. It just was. And it was fine, pleasant, simple.

The parking here is kind of odd as it's right next to a supermarket and there was hardly any space…read moreto park. I think you can come in or drive through off one of the other main streets but I couldn't seem to find the other entrance. After you walk through some bushes or down the steps that lead in the the pavilion-like area, you find this cute post office. It was really busy too, but the most people seemed to whizz in and out just checking P.O. boxes. I hardly saw anyone standing in line to mail things, but maybe that's due to the service. I didn't feel any difference in the normal sense of malaise and lethargy exhibited by most post office professionals. I guess you just get used to it. The outside signage was cool though. I didn't like that there were like 3 tables of people wanting you to sign petitions for clean energy, or organic products or plastic usage, or whatever else you could think of. I just wanted to take a picture in front of the post office and not sign my life away. Although....this is the post office we're talking about here. Love free speech and the right to petition though, don't get me wrong.

After a week of calling without an answer, speaking to unhelpful employees on the phone and going back to the post office three times, I was told my package was "lost" and to file a claim. Maybe I was too lazy to walk the twenty feet to the door. The usual stock of shipping materials. No, don't ask for tape. You have to buy your own. And also, did you know it's illegal to take first class shipping boxes and reverse them so as to get free boxes?

This is the post office closest to my home. It gets a bit crowded on weekends but staff are…read moreprofessional and I don't think they're wasting any time on their job. There is this one Asian lady (I believe she is Korean) who helps me most of the time when I'm there, and she is great every time! She explains how things work thoroughly, whether I'm there for mailing in my old passport to get it renewed or sending a package to Japan. She is also very careful about putting in the correct address so I feel more comfortable and confident getting help from her. She also has good energy level and is nice to talk to. Being in customer-facing job myself, she inspires me to do better at my job too. This may be common knowledge, but since they do not let you use mailing tools like glue, tapes, or scissors, I recommend bringing them from home if you plan on packing on-site.
