As someone who sells items online for extra cash and a P.O. Box customer, I'm here at this post office all the time... at least 3X a week I come in to check my P.O. Box and often sending packages out as well. I understand why many other reviewers are frustrated as a lot of the time I come in the wait times to be helped at the counter are ridiculous and I'll admit in the past I've had postal workers misplace packages of mine and accidentally give me other customers packages which is very concerning but eventually everything gets worked out when that has happened and I haven't had either of those issues lately. I definitely can understand why their lines are so backed up considering they've been short staffed for quite some time which is common in most businesses right now. You'd be lucky to see two people working at the counter and one helping with the package pickup door on a good day but most of the time I've been in the past couple months it's only been one very hardworking lady holding it down and she is the reason I'm writing this review today. Her name is Lisa and I for one really applaud her hard work and dedication! I know she must really be exhausted by the end of the work day since she seems to be doing 90% of the work herself! Weather or not you guys get more workers in to help her soon, I'm telling you she needs a damn raise ASAP !! Being in line with others at the post office I've seen how so many of the other people are in pissy moods as they are very vocal about that but they're not empathetic to the work situation here ... I'd be losing my damn mind if I had to do everything she does with long ass lines. At one point I considered working for USPS as a delivery driver but did lots of research and I can understand why they may not be getting many applications for any of the positions because they're standards are very high... they may give you a day off but even on "days off" now, don't really consider them days off because you're basically on stand by and they can call you any moment and you'd have to go in if you want to keep your job. A lot of us have tough, physically and/or mentally demanding jobs at this time but after researching what it's like for USPS workers I'm extremely grateful for the service job I have. I know it's easier said than done but try to be patient and understanding as workers like Lisa are human beings like you just trying to make it through the work week, working their butt off trying to provide you with the best possible service they can. Take that into consideration next time you're waiting in line instead of making angry faces and whispering (not so softly) to the person next to you in line about how "BS" the wait time or service is.. who knows, you might just get some good karma come your way if you do ;) Love and light x read more

I recently lost a valuable package due to a misdelivery, and despite it being the post office's error, they made no real effort to help me recover it. They simply repeated what the scan showed -- "delivered in mailbox" -- even though I never received it. They also told me they couldn't knock on doors to check who might've received the wrong key. That day, only three parcel lockers were open. If my package was misdelivered, one of those boxes would have received my key. If not, then the key was never placed in my mailbox at all. So where did my package actually go? Unfortunately, they closed the case immediately with no real investigation and no follow-up. This experience has left me unable to trust them with my deliveries. And based on previous reviews, this kind of issue has happened to others as well. I'm beginning to think the person who delivers them is just stealing because I never see the packages that get mis- delivered, no one returns then to me. Mailed an Easter card to Illinois witproper Forever stamp on envelope. It was a simple standard card and envelope. Very light, flat and no extra bulk or weight. And it got returned to me saying it was returned for postage. The recipient never received - of course. I know mistakes happen but this was so uncalled for. It ruined a surprise. This should be checked at the post office before rejecting mail that was paid for correctly. Us Post Office is amazing. Kudos to all. But this error should have never happened. Finally brought it to PO - clearing was phenomenal. She stamped Envelope and yesterday I got it back in my mail for postage. I give up. What a waste of a stamp. We are a business located off Canyon Road in Puyallup, WA. In October, our regular delivery person for the USPS retired. Ever since then our service has been just awful, in fact less than stellar. Through sleet, snow or rain...my rear. The mailperson(s) has/have become so unreliable. Half the time they are no longer in a USPS uniform, looking unkept and grungy. Our recent experience has included a variety of delivery persons. They either come very early missing our out going mail, or arrive so late we have already gone home. Today, we received in the mail a notice of an attempt to deliver a certified envelope. Here's the kicker...it's for February 8th stating we can pick up on the 9th. TODAY IS FEB 14TH. WT????? Really??? And why didn't the carrier come into our building on the 8th when they had the envelope? Search me! Attempted to call the USPS both locally and their 800 number. Nothing but recorded messages and even when you say Agent, and they ask for more detail, and I say "a complaint", "file a complaint", "notify USPS of an issue" - I get nothing. Their system eventually hangs up. So much for AI, right? Gone are the good old days of reliability with our US Postal Service. Worst customer service ever! Poor delivery. When I called to address it, they do not pick up the phone. I have called all day. No voicemail option.

Most of the staff are very rude. They misplace my mail all the time. I don't mind the wait times, even though they are long waiting lineS, but if they're busy they're busy. What is wrong with this post office are the workers who give attitude and get mad at the customers as if it were the customer who misplaced the mail. Rude rude rude. We all are grinding. I work in healthcare and understand customer service. Everyone has bad days, including me, but my patients don't care. Customer don't care. Be professional. Let me end it with saying it again... I've had packages that were never received, and no one answers the phone. I'm going to have to go there and see if I can get them to find yet another misdirected package of mine. I have the tracking code, but since no one answers, I have to go in person. This is the third incident of packages gone awry! I asked for and paid for 3-5 day international shipping and asked to make sure that it was guaranteed I was told yes. My wife's immigration case was coming up and she needed important documents. Fast forward 3 weeks later and the documents still hadn't arrived I had to spend over $3000 on a last minute plane ticket over 60+ hours of travel to get other copies of the documents I had to her in person ( they have to be originals) all because USPS couldn't live up to their guarantee. South hill location Never answers the Phone, and they are currently delivering 4 (FOUR ) peoples mail to me that do not live here, and things like social security checks! Very long wait times. Staff is very rude and acts like the long wait times are your fault. I asked a question about the shipping boxes and she said that google was a great resource. the outside mail drop box has been broken for months and the worker inside was very rude and dismissive when I asked about a timeline when it might be fixed. read more

I was expecting a package. Tracking status reported it as delivered to my mailbox. It wasn't. This happens frequently. No one will answer the phone for over 36 hours trying. The online help request form would not submit. I FINALLY get a human on the phone and all they were able to tell me was that it appeared my package was "delivered somewhere in my area". Um.....what?! Total extent of their assistance. Had to dispute it with my credit card and then reorder the same items using a different delivery method. COMPLETE waste of time. read more

This post office has the most brain dead useless people ever. They don't answer the phone, the old Russian lady always has some type of attitude when you go in there to drop off packages. The wait time/line is always at least an hour long almost out the door. I have made a formal complaint because this is a public service, they get paid to help us not to treat us like a nuisance. Management sucks, if you ask to talk to someone higher they get annoyed and say "well there is no manager I am the manager". I will be following through on this complaint, and hopefully these people will get fired and we will get some new people to actually do their jobs. Consistently deliver the wrong mail even after returning to sender and leaving a post it for the mail lady. I filled out a form and they still deliver the wrong mail. Monday I was supposed to get a package but my mailbox was blocked (this is true) but the tracking said they'd redeliver. Didn't redeliver the next day so I called this morning and asked about it, and the guy said that I needed to come get it. I stated the tracking said they'd redeliver, he said she would because she's nice just for me but said my mailbox is always blocked. It's never blocked, ever. The guy told me because I accused her of lying they won't deliver it and hung up. This post office is OK if you're dropping off prepaid parcels and stamped envelopes. If you need any assistance at the counter, good luck. This facility never has sufficient staff to manage the line, so you'll end up waiting a significant amount of time. Bank on upwards of an hour to get to the retail counter. If you're on a time crunch, use another post office. read more

Have had several incidents with a particular USPS worker flying down my private road so I finally filed a complaint & contacted the post office about it after the worker asked me which mailbox is mine (irrelevant & oddly threatening???) upon approaching them asking to slow down (due to various reasons that shouldn't even have to be mentioned (animals, dust, children, ripping up our gravel road)) The supervisor on the phone tried to argue with me about how it's ok to speed on private roads, that "law enforcement doesn't even go down private roads" (uh... what???) & then proceeded to dismiss me after I expressed my concern about my mail being tampered with by this person and their comment about my mailbox. She laughed and said she would "talk to them." I'm used to having pleasant experiences with USPS and this was just incredibly weird, rude, and unprofessional. read more

We've seen Great post offices and we've seen Puyallup. Absolutely horrendous! They don't even deserve the one star. We asked for a mail hold and they kept delivering the mail. Then, we moved and placed the forward notice with them. We even contacted them to verify they had it and understood the new address on the forward order. All was confirm. Then, we began getting phone calls claiming non-payment of bills that were never forwarded to us! Items and pictures from family were sent to us and never forwarded. What happened to everything? Theft? It was never forwarded. Maybe we should have got a PO Box in Auburn and only dealt with them. Do not trust South Hill with simple forwarding instructions! read more

I was waiting all day for a very important package that was sent to me from Texas. The extra service to be delivered before 3pm was paid. I was at home all day with all my windows open. The post lady walked up, posted the " missed you " note and walked away. I didn't realize she came up until my daughter saw her get into the truck and drove away. I got the note and called the USPS. Horrible place with astonishingly bad employees. They refuse all package deliveries. Problem is widespread if you look at reviews. They make threats, withhold mail, and pretty much don't do anything they are suppose to. If they do by some miracle, they are extremely rude about it. The lines are always massive, expect to wait 35 minutes minimum. Supervisors and managers seem to cover and encourage bad carrier/employee behavior (I have seen and heard people mention threats and managers yelling at them). If this place was run better, and if the carriers actually delivered packages, I bet there wouldn't hardly be a line. I had a carrier mark my sons diapers as redelivery, didn't leave a slip, then refused to redeliver until I complained non stop. Had a carrier pull up to the mailbox while I was getting the mail and they assured me they would deliver from now on. I still get slips with every delivery saying they missed me (when I was home). Our mail man over fills our mail box all the time. He has stuffed it so full that we could not get it unlocked. We check our mail ever other day. We never got any help getting our mail box open. I ended up sitting outside waiting for around 3 hours for the mail man to come. We have a lock box at our front door for packages so that they don't get stolen. But the mail man never puts our packages in it. Instead he leaves our packages on the front porch right next to the lock box. Got this tall older guy. He got snappy. It's my 3rd try. 1st graham, then puyallup in downtown n this 1 to cash their own money order. I got a nasty attitude from him. He said, " you expect us to cash this?" It was for $500. I was told by USPS 800# to go after 1pm and they have money. Well, they don't. My bank becu doesnt deposit money order through atm or in person from usps for some odd reason so here I am trying to cash from place if origin, the federal USPS n nothing. Do not buy money orders. I'm not sure what on earth my family member was thinking to give me this instead of check. Ugh. I was there with my newborn as he raised my voice I got very mama bear. Possibly the worst run post office in the state. There is always a long line and only one or two counter workers that want to chat it up. They never add personnel when it gets busy...in fact I have been there when Counter people are pulled, not replaced, for breaks and lunch... leaving one counter person, a line out the door, and several usps workers behind the counter with "this window closed" signs out. It's so frustrating as a consumer that I am glad at least parcel service has options. read more

Ordered a package to be delivered... Instead of it reaching me, a note is left in our mailbox stating that the packing was left at our apartment office. After contacting our leasing office to pick up our package, we were informed that they no longer accept packages due to Covid and to check with the post office as it should be there. I then called the post office to track my package, explained to whoever answered the phone what had happened, and her response was that, "we assume people would know to come to the post office to pick up their package". I couldn't believe what she had said, so I asked her to repeat herself... and she said it again! I would assume that the letter left in my box would be correct and I would assume that since they are a delivery service that they would delivery! I am aware of a Covid outbreak at their location so I brought this to her attention when I was told I would need to come inside to receive my items. She then became rude, stating, "I'm not going to argue with you, if you do not want to come in to get your package, you do not have to" and hangs up the phone with no resolution. So! After paying for shipping and handling, my package was not successfully shipped, and I was hung up on with an attitude when I tried to resolve the issue. Thanks USPS. You're the best! read more
