Teshia is extremely rude. My elderly mother had 3 big boxes to mail out and she gave the worse attitude about it. When she asked what was in the boxes, she huffed and puffed as if it was such an inconvenient thing. Teshia, My mother didn't do anything to you, all she did was answer your questions. When you asked what service she wanted to mail them out and she answered you, you didn't have to roll your eyes. You didn't have to portray the most annoyed facial expression ever. This post office took accountability when a letter sent to me was damaged (by a sorting machine)! That is unheard of! They delivered my damaged letter in a plastic bag with an apology. Luckily the contents of the letter were unharmed. The workers at this post office are still human beings and the abuse by customers towards them (which I've witnessed personally) is misplaced. First of all here's the corporate number for y'all to complain too +1-800-275-8777. This place is awful I'm surprised they have the 2 older ladies working there. They don't wear name tags. One is short hair blue eyeshadow with grey and black curly short short hair and the other is the worst she's the heavy set blonde hair with nails as long as a pencil it's ridiculous. They're so rude you can't ask them anything without them being annoyed. It must be really sad to be them. I bumped into the blonde one at a Ross one time she was going off on a cashier. It's a post office! It's on a quiet street across from a park! There are limited parking spaces in the front, but there's additional parking down the one-way alley a few steps away. The employees are kind and courteous. There's rarely a line, and when there is, it goes fast. I drop off bills here on a regular basis and they have P.O boxes for rent. What I like best are the specialty stamps they sell here for Christmas, Hanukkah and Valentines. They also sell celebrity and sports stamps. Small greeting card collection and postal accessories. I very rarely write negative reviews on Yelp. Seriously. Out of 85 reviews, 67 are either 4 or 5 stars. In over ten years on this site, I've given just 9 one-star reviews. My main purpose on Yelp is to compliment great service and pay it forward for businesses that rock...so if I leave you a bad review, you really gotta deserve it. Congratulations, Sunland P.O. on earning that tenth 1-star review. Throughout the pandemic, I have had to spend a LOT of time mailing things. Literally EVERY time I come here, I end up regretting it and reminding myself to go a little further to the Tujunga P.O. I want to support USPS versus a private carrier like FedEx to the extent I can, but this is ridiculous now. Why? Because that extra five minutes in my drive might mean the difference between catching COVID-19 or not. Yes, we're all vaccinated, but with Delta spiraling out of control, we need to return to taking precautions seriously. How do people not comprehend that not taking them seriously is why the virus was able to mutate in the first place? Unfortunately, this P.O. in Sunland has NEVER seemed to think it was a big deal. In the past eighteen months, I have NEVER been in there that I did not see a person, be it customer or worse yet, employee, with their mask either under their nose, pulled down under their chin or not even bothering to wear one. And when I say anything, or even react accordingly when some guy busts in and walks six inches away from me with his whole face exposed mouth-breathing all over me, I get looked at like I'm the one who's crazy or stupid. To be fair, this seems like a problem generally in Sunland. The liquor stores are equally terrible. But for a business that is providing a service so essential as the MAIL, this is beyond unacceptable. Anti-maskers/anti-vaxxers are WHY we can't have nice things anymore, like going to concerts or dinner with friends, without assuming far more risk than we used to. And don't even get me started about the deaths or lives, even healthy young ones, ruined forever by long-haul symptoms. It's time to start calling these people out and treating them like the pariahs they should be in civil society. read more

Horrid service. I frequent this post office often as I have a small side business I'm running. Rude woman who makes unnecessary comments to me EVERY time I go in there. Seems quite miserable and not too excited about doing her job. Sometimes I walk in and she is nowhere to be found and comes out with an attitude as she chucks my packages against the wall after scanning. Rare to go anywhere anymore and be treated like a respected CUSTOMER. I cannot believe the reviews posted about this post office. I mean I can, I would be a rude clerk to if I had to help the community that has nothing nice to say. I run a small business and use this post office twice a week. The general same three employees are there, all day everyday, taking and sorting the entire communities mail. Dealing with consumers coming in because their non-essential item from Amazon is lost somewhere in the abyss. They have informed me of every rule and regulation if I have packaged or labeled something wrong. There is gossip that occurs but that is in every place of business. The Hispanic lady with glasses (not the one with curly hair) seems to always be in a bad mood and the way she communicates with customers is unnecessarily rude. I would like to especially commend Aracely, by name, here on Yelp as I could not figure out how to commend her on any site run by USPS. I went in today (6/16/2021) to mail a Priority mail envelope. While waiting in line, I heard the man in line ahead of me in the middle of a frustrating transaction in which he stated he was receiving no help from whoever was in charge that day. However, he excepted Aracely by saying, "Not you, you're actually on my side!" as she was being very calm, helpful, and accommodating. As for my experience, I am happy to report she was very calm and reassuring to me. This was my very first outing into the public sphere after our "reopening" and I am happy to report she made me feel welcome with no mask on. She was the one employee I saw not wearing a mask and told me how I had missed some "drama" that had just happened in which customers were yelling at her for not wearing a mask, forcing her to put one on. Please note, that this is the day after Governor Newsome declared that people may be inside without masks on. I chose to not wear my mask and felt very encouraged by Aracely's bravery. I can't believe other customers felt it was up to them to bully her for her medical decisions! After all, we can't be masked forever! And of course, she handled my transaction very well with speed and accuracy. Thank you, Aracely! read more

The worst post office! A month before I moved I went in there and filled out the change of address forms and the lady I handed them to just tossed them aside. I had a feeling that my paperwork will get misplaced/ lost. Sure enough my mail was never forwarded to my new address. Of course I had called all my creditors to update my address but a paycheck was lost and I'm still waiting for investigation to be completed before I get issued another one. I had to refill the forms at another post office to finally get this taken care of. Received notice that Delivery Attempted - No Access to Delivery Location; We attempted to deliver your package at 6:12 pm on December 31, 2019 in Sunland, CA 91040 but could not access the delivery location. We will redeliver on the next business day. I was at home that on 12/31, the mail box was not blocked and I was home all day. I received my mail envelopes, but did not receive my shipment that shows it was at the post office and out for delivery. Poorly trained, gruff staff AND Management. Understaffed at the busiest times (management issue) and overstaffed when non-one's there. Consistently this way, not just once or twice. Walked in a few weeks ago, no-one in line...Manager had corralled two clerks to show phone photos of a recent Las Vegas trip. I waited about 20 seconds for someone to motion me to a window. Finally cleared my throat and asked if I could please be helped. The "photo huddle" broke up, but after I walked up to a station, Manager followed the clerk and continued to flip through photos talking about how they all were "SO drunk that day!" At that point I spoke up to say how inappropriate and unprofessional this was and how the window clerks were basically a captive audience for this self-involved Manager (I didn't say that last part). Wish I lived closer to the other PO up Foothill Blvd. Convenience (as such) wins out every time. read more

I ordered 2 4 foot tables on Amazon and was super bummed to find a slip on my front door saying 2 heavy flat boxes were waiting for me at the post office because I hadn't been home during initial delivery. I was worried about being able to carry them out to my car but Kenny offered to help bring them out to my car and helped me put them in. Super grateful for his help! The two Hispanic women working here have the worst customer service attitudes that I have ever seen. I walked in without a line and they weren't even willing to help me. I asked if they had a clear packing slip to stick on my package; they claimed it was for international orders only. Although they are correct, you can literally go online and order free clear slips from the USPS store and have the shipped to you, so it's not like it would be any different to give a customer a free one. I can see this is not the first time they have been terrible to customers, and they deserve to be fired being that their job is to be helpful to their customers. read more

I have yet to walk into this Post Office in Sunland but I love it for dropping off my mail out front. They're a little bit out of the way for me but I much perfer to come here and drop of my stuff than to go down Van Nuys or up Hubbard. It's quiet and clean and empty so it's quick and easy :) Pick up times for the mailbox outside are Monday-Friday 10:30am and 5:00pm. I think the times are the same on Saturday & Sunday. read more

We are experiencing a major failure on the part of the USPS to properly forward our mail from our previous address and we have experienced an extreme lack of accountability and a fairly stark refusal to accept any responsibility on behalf of the post office. Because of this we are going to acquire a mailing box with UPS and stop using the Usps altogether as much as possible. And any questions you ask or anything you need help with, they roll their eyes and do the BARE MINIMUM with a terrible attitude. I don't understand the awful reviews so thought I'd post mine - this has been my local post office for nearly ten years. They are always nice. Sometimes the lines are long and at holiday shipping time they are slow - same with every post office. This is a very small facility and doesn't have some of the bells and whistles of a bigger post office, and only a few windows open at once. They only have three or four. The parking lot is small but there is a larger lot across the alley a few steps away. If you need more, just go to a larger post office. I've never had a problem here and have always found them to be very helpful. My two cents. read more

I work nearby and never get my packages when tracking states they were delivered. They wait for a few days and then bring it by when they feel like it. I've even tried to pick up my packages and they claim not to have anything for me or for the address. After going back four times they told me they DID have my package but couldn't release it to me because the address was a business. Even though it was addressed to me in care of the business! (I could have easily payed for a box) I put in the envelope got back in line and got the same lady. Asked if she could tape the label to the envelope and said no there's tape for sale over there. I do not plan on returning to this location. Rude and not helpful. Left the store after the tape incident.
