Good morning.! The two gentlemen are professional and nice... always greets you with a polite smile. But the young lady who does the passport's is extremely rude. I've bragged about Patty & waxed poetic about my first Desert friend, L... but oh my Oprah: Candice just gave me a full photoshoot for my passport - she made me look & feel like a totally functioning adult - and CUTE! She didn't need to take the time. She didn't need to laugh & kibbitz with me - but she did. I mean, she's a doll & helpful, knowledgeable & SO KIND - but Candice is also a top shelf human. I had a package sent to me that was delivered to the wrong address because the sending post office typed in the wrong address. Patrick at the Rancho Mirage office spent over 10 minutes tracking it down for me! He was able to locate where it was and we will hopefully have it back soon. Patrick went over and beyond with his customer service support. read more

Passport services: DO NOT RECOMMEND. They clearly have staffing issues. After two failed attempts at renewing my Passport I am moving on to another office. They failed to communicate that the appointment was cancelled until I arrived. read more

I have been using this post office for quite a few years now the employees are extremely helpful Judy is very pleasant And helpful and I believe these bad reviews would have to come from someone with a personal vendetta against her. This location has a major problem with the post office boxes out in the parking lot fr people to use. I personally had incidents with these boxes. It appears someone washed out checks and made them out to themselves. This process allowed them to steal money from my account and it also leaves bills that I thought were paid unpaid. So I understand this happens at boxes. But when I waited in line at the RM Post Office to let them know, they just said "yeah, we know." Just walk your mail into the branch. (Apparently others have had the same issues.) That's great except this location has pretty short hours after which they close up because "homeless people are using the building as a place to sleep and as a public restroom." It felt so empathetic and there was no interest in fixing the problem, moving the boxes, using cameras or anything. It was kind of a "sucks to be you" feeling I walked away with. Also, the mail at this location seems to take longer to receive than other post offices so if you are sending something time sensitive, you're better off going to the Palm Desert Post Office. read more

My wife had called in asking why we weren't receiving any mail at our new home and it turned out there was a mail stop put on by the previous owner. I went in to pick up the mail that we were told would be there and gave my address to Judy to retrieve my mail, only to be told by her that there was no mail for me. Her exact quote was "are you sure you know your own address". Her attitude couldn't of been more belittling while I checked to make sure that I gave her the correct address she asked me to "Step aside" which I didn't because of her attitude. Once I confirmed that I gave her the correct address she did go check again and came back to belittle me once more to tell me that there was no mail for me. Turns out that the mail was given to the carrier and brought to our house which was fantastic. It's too bad that employees like her give the post office such a bad name. If I should need to ever go back there again and it turns out that she is the next available window, I can't wait to turn to the person behind me and say "You can go ahead of me, she's the mean one, I'll wait for somebody nicer". read more

After reading these reviews on Judy what I just experienced with her is no surprise. First and foremost you are in the business of customer service so if you don't have the patience for it retire. I say retire because at your age you should be a lot better than this. The fact that you could care very little about helping customers look for their packages when it is clearly said that it needed to be picked up baffles me. What's more disappointing is that's it's an ongoing issue that has obviously not been addressed since you are still employed there after the constant reviews of your poor service. read more

Poor reviews on Judy are accurate. I was a grocery checker for 13 years and if i EVER treated a customer with that kind of rudeness, i would have been fired! Yes, unfortunately now and then we all get snotty customers but this employee is rude even when you try your hardest to be nice to her. I'm sad for her because it's much more fun working when you give friendly customer service. You don't know what is going on in that customers life, maybe they just came from the hospital and were diagnosed with cancer. Maybe they just lost a child or a husband or a wife. WHATEVER! The Rancho Mirage Post Office service is outstanding. Have never had a problem holding mail for the short term or forwarding mail to Big Bear. Mia, Virginia Kelley, is one of the best mail carriers my husband and I have ever met. She will walk to our door if she sees us when she needs to deliver important mail like driver's licenses, pink slips. She is sensitive to the needs of the elderly, particularly those with mobility issues. Just a very kind, pleasant person. I hope she is recognized for her outstanding service to this community! I have never left a bad review in my life. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, maybe they're just having a bad day. But today was the last straw. Judy is by far the worst person I have ever come across in customer service. She is rude, belittling, and incredibly passive aggressive. I have an online store, so I am in the post office quite frequently. I now dread sending in my orders, because I do not want to receive "help" from this woman. She literally tossed my FRAGILE packages into the bin far behind her! They have huge red stickers on them that say FRAGILE. If I have orders that need to be sent internationally? She gives instant attitude. If I have quite a few packages? Instant attitude. Today, by far was the worst. I won't type up the whole experience... but seeing as how I am not the only one to mention her on here, I don't see how she still works here. read more

I rarely write Yelp reviews, but after seeing the amount of negative reviews targeted toward Judy specifically, I felt I had to. I went to this post office for the first time today to mail a package and did so reluctantly after reading terrible things about the service here. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Judy helped me out today, and she was so helpful and so sweet. I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews about her: she was incredibly kind. After I told her my package was fragile, she wrote "fragile" on the box and made sure to handle it with care. The whole experience was fast, easy, and pleasant. read more

I love this post office. Almost everyone that works there is very very helpful and very nice. This includes my postman who, after living in various parts of the country, I can honestly say is the best postman I've ever had. There is one exception regarding the employees at this post office-- her name is Judy. Judy usually makes me feel uncomfortable. When I do have an issue with mail, I try to avoid going to judy's counter. She is snitty and it's better to avoid her if you have a question or problem. I prefer to have that type of discussion with someone else. However, this issue I have with Judy is a small detail because everyone else at this post office is just great! read more

Judy is the absolute worse of them all. The way she talks to the customers is rude and embarrassing! When working with the public, you'd think that they would have great customer service skills. Maybe she missed that day of training. The others aren't AS bad but they are definitely up there. When asking to send of a letter, package, ect. if you don't have the proper slip filled out they just throw one at you and tell you to come back later when it's filled out. No direction, no assistance, just go away. Save yourself the headache and embarrassment and just go to a FedEx or literally ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

This Post Office is a great one, the employees are fantastic!! Our family and friends who have lived here much longer than us, some 27 years now, love this place and the employees are great!! Wow, the few negative posts on here are from those "Entitlement types of people" always they need attention and get pissed off at the slightest little thing, grow up people or move to the big cities!! I have for the past 4 years gone in for business transactions and have never had an issue with Judy or any other employee here at this Post Office!! I like to treat Mary, Judy and all of them in a nice friendly way, we live in times where many are stressed out and need to learn about treating people the same friendly way!
