The service here was extremely disappointing. We called ahead with the exact dimensions and weight of the artwork and were told multiple times that shipping it would not be a problem. When I arrived, the staff spent nearly 20 minutes reviewing the shipment and again indicated there were no issues. However, at the end of the process, they informed me they could not handle the shipment after all. What was most frustrating was that the staff appeared unfamiliar with their own shipping policies and even struggled to properly determine the package measurements. A simple review of the requirements before my trip would have avoided a significant waste of time. Overall, the experience reflected a lack of training, knowledge, and professionalism. read more

Ive used this UPS around 30 times now. Theres a couple nice ladies there but mostly some big gals who almost had an aneurism after I asked to use a piece of tape. I'm talking an inch folks. They literally had a 2 minute breakdown/lecture about how and why I cant use 1 inch of tape. After giving them substantial amounts of business in that moment mind you. Its sort of the vibe of the big gals club where they have some power and get their revenge for whatever or whoever is hurting them. 2 stars is a gift btw since I'm generalizing the entirety of my experiences. read more

I went in to ship a pillow back to one of our Air BnB guests. I did not have a box so I purchased one at the UPS store. They then wanted to charge me $11 to Pack the pillow in the box that I just purchased for $12. I said I could pack it myself. After packing it I either had to go home to get tape or purchase tape from them for $9. As I was paying another customer came in with there own box to ship, but the top was not taped. They taped it for her at no charge. I asked why they taped hers and I had to purchase my own tape. They said because hers was only one piece. I only needed two pieces one on the top and one on the bottom. It was a pillow, I didn't need it reinforced. Needless to say I will never return to this store. We do ship from there regularly for our customers who leave items. We also recomended this store for our guests who needed any shipping or other services they provide. Update on my 1 star review. The owner finally called me. She (Stacy?) called me from her cell phone to say that she reviewed tapes from the store and didn't see evidence of an "argument". Did I say I argued? I didn't. I simply accepted the store employees disrespectful, rude treatment of a customer. Her cell phone kept dropping the call. Stacy tried to tell me that my cell phone must have "a timer that cuts off calls". I patiently explained that I was using WiFi calling on my phone and the dropped calls were coming from her side. I also explained that there is no iPhone feature that automatically cuts off calls. In short, the owner was as rude and completely disrespectful as her employee. When I explained she had MANY one star reviews, she quipped "thank you for that" and then went on to explain that they were all false reviews and those situations never happened. After the last call dropped. I tried to call her back on the store line but once again, nobody picked up the call. My next step will be calling UPS Franchise Store Operations and potentially small claims court. Don't use this store! There is a better managed stores in Cathedral City. read more

I wanted to share some feedback regarding a recent experience with my coffee order. In an effort to avoid the high shipping charges, I chose to have my order delivered to a nearby UPS Store for pickup. When I went in to retrieve the package, I was asked to show a physical driver's license. I didn't have my wallet on me, but I provided the tracking number, email confirmation, and even a digital copy of my ID--yet the staff refused to release my package. It was frustrating and inconvenient, especially for something as simple as picking up COFFEE. I understand there may be security protocols in place, but in today's world where digital verification is common, there should be more flexibility--especially when the buyer can prove identity through multiple methods. read more

Store is snakey... had a prepaid ups drop off for two shoe boxes. Advised them I would need to purchase two shoe size boxes and was charged $30. Wasn't advised what the charges were for or anything and just though to myself wow those are expensive boxes. Upon reviewing the receipt I was charged $5.50 for packaging materials (which I would have said no too) because they weren't needed, and another $5 for a "packing service"! If I would have known I was getting charged this BS.... I would have said give me the boxes and packaged everything on my own. DECEITFUL... and I will never use this store again! Came here while in town to do some Amazon returns so I did not have to lug the stuff back home. Store was clean, well organized. They did not have a self service kiosk so I had to wait behind one person. Staff acknowledged me and helped me quickly. Friendly, fast service. I got a receipt for my items and was on my way. This store is in a parking lot with many other stores and parking is difficult. I had to park quite a distance away but that is not their fault but just something to note. read more

I just went into this store and was met with the most lazy rude attendant ever. I had multiple orders that needed to be returned and after she scanned the first one - said the 2 items needed to be in two boxes - I said I don't have one, do you have one? - it needs to be in a single box - ok so then why did you start the scan before telling me that? Do you have a box I can buy? - you have a box - yes but that's for my other returns, do you have a box I can buy? - yes I have a box I can sell you - ok can I get a box and put my stuff down on the counter that was heavy and made a sigh - mam' Im not going to help you, youre going to have to leave the store I'm not going to take your attitude - like wtf you are a customer service center where you sell a product and do deliveries. Before she got to me she was helping two customers and was not helping them either she kept pointing at them to take off their previous label asking if they could just cover it. UPS do better. Was I frazzled yes - but I'm rushing and like 6 to do and that was after she started giving me attitude. read more

I have had one problem after another at this store. My company ships millions of dollars a year with UPS. They can't even print me a label with our account without a fee and losing my discount. I tried to ship three boxes today that are taped together very well and the manager wouldn't allow me. Keep in mind I have shipped these boxes this way several times before and showed her a prior UPS label on the box. I went to the UPS store in Cathedral city, and it was not an issue. I think this manager has never had a manger roll before. She's absolutely horrible. I'm pushing our company to go FEDEX, much better service. read more

I had very poor service there today . I have mailed many times at this location as well as used their notary service but somehow they did not find the one and only phone number I have had for decades on their file . Because of this error on their part , I was asked to show photo ID , which I didn't have on my person at the time, so I pack up my two large boxes , go back home 3 miles , get the ID , go through the line again and then get asked repeatedly out loud to give them phone number and address even though I just furnished them with it. UPS does not respect my privacy. After that they quote me 80 to send a 150 dollar item which I just couldn't allow them to over charge me that much and so I went to the post office instead for my larger package . They appear to enjoy not helping you there and I'll send my packages elsewhere . read more

went in to return an Amazon item for the first time. The associate there to "help" was anything but. I asked her for help and all she could do is point to a sign. No help whatsoever! When I had to ask several times for help, then figured it out, I was told it would be a $3.50 charge to print the return; label and that I had to pkg. everything up myself. Thats customer service? Not even close! a broken kiosk is much more helpful and polite! This store is usually busy but they are professional and efficient so one is in and out of there fairly quickly. They offer many services too. I had a document notarized the other day and it was done correctly and quickly. I come in fairly frequently with Amazon returns and those are done with precision and speed. This store is my preferred ups store. Definitely recommend this store! read more

This is my go to location when I need to ship UPS. The times I've been here has always been in the holidays and you know how they can be.....tons of people shipping stuff....long lines. I was charged $17.25 for 20 stamps, should have been $12.00 The clerk saw cash in my hand and over charged me, then did not provide a receipt. I was distracted after having to wait in line forever while the clerk dealt with an Amazon return and my husband was waiting in the car outside. When I got back to the car, I realized that I'd been grossly overcharged and had no receipt to prove it. Also, if you ever go there - be prepared to wait, wait, wait! If there are no customers in the store, the clerk will yell from the back room "be with you in a minute", so you still have to wait forever while she finishes her lunch or whatever she is doing back there. If there are customers, the clerk seems to be in slow motion dealing with each one, as I said "wait, wait, wait....." I will not go there again. read more

The owner and his wife do not have any morals whatsoever! Sadly, they are breaking their contract with amazon and ups. They get paid to take in amazon returns. As those of you who are amazon prime members, know that we can return items to a ups location without packaging the item and we also don't need a return shipping label. We have the option to set up the return as such. We merely need to show our phone and the ups store scans our phone and takes the item from us. EACH TIME THAT I'VE ATTEMPTED TO RETURN AN AMAZON ITEM (in that fashion) where I have set up the return without the need for a box or a return label, as soon as I get to this ups store, without fail, they refuse to take the return and essentially tell me that I NEED TO BUY A BOX FROM THEM!!!! OH MY GOD!!!! How on God's green earth can they stand there and demand such a lie. I have taken out my phone and even shown them from the amazon app that it clearly states, we don't need a box or label. Instead, they get upset and demand that I buy a box. furthermore, in their language, husband and wife will start arguing to one another over my challenge. Honestly, I'm disgusted by their greed. The lady told me that she does 50 plus amazon returns a day and that I'm wrong and that my eyes are lying to me. That's when I thought " omg if 50 people on an average are coming into her store and she forces them to buy a box, imagine if even 10 out of the 50 get conned into buying a box from them, they are making a nice profit on side from the lies"!!!! This is absolutely immoral and just wrong. I told them that I would notify ups and amazon and that did not sit well with them. They are breaching their contract with both the franchisee and amazon. Times are tough and it's just not right to squeeze out money from others in such a distasteful way. I will not allow this to go on any further as I refuse to buy a box when I clearly don't need to. The store has poor rating and it speaks volumes of the owner's character. What some folks will do for money, just amazes me. PS in the same shopping center, you can have your returns done at Whole Foods. Luckily, Whole Foods doesn't have any boxes to sell or a reason to lie. They will just take the return and be content with the money that they are contracted to receive for their services. Please consider this fact! That's because Amazon is paying you already for the service. Therefore, you can not double dip! It's extortion to tell a customer, I won't and can't take your return until you buy a box, while you are well aware that you are getting paid from Amazon for the return. It is illegal and I will take every action needed to make sure you don't continue to take money from innocent people. The BBB will also be informed. Please change your ways! I waited 30 minutes, then was in this UPS Store 1 hour picking up a package that was delivered. Nobody could find it. The Owner/"Manager" even looked. I was told UPS would need to trace. After 10 days, I was told the shipment was lost and I'd need to reorder. I went back today to pick the replacement up. I was told by the Owner/"Manager" that she had sent back the first delivery and that I should consider myself fortunate that she "Allowed" me to pick up the second! She had observed me spending 1 hour in her store 2 weeks prior trying to pick up a package she had sent back and didn't open her mouth?! Unprofessional and lazy staff. I have now been here on three separate occasions. It is a bit of a rip if you need a box for shipping so do your homework. The last two times has merely been to return equipment to Spectrum. Yes, you read that correct. You can bring in modems and so forth if you have or had contracts with Spectrum/DIRECTV & AT&T. Who knew? The only reason I go there is the iPostal assigned address/pick up. The employees were rude, refused to speak to iPostal, and when all was figured out? The supervisor said she couldn't access the computer, that only Linda could; that Linda was gone and I would have to wait three days until she got back. The UPS store overall is great. But one thing I learned real quick is that it also depends on who's running it. I have a large box at the Downtown Palm Springs office, and I'm telling you it's worth driving the extra 30 minutes for human quality service. I'm disabled/retired/ and I'll keep a secret what else I'm disabled from... anyways and was helping my son on a school project that I stated, and would appreciate if they sold me some Brown mailing paper. The responds was a simple yes or no we don't sell that way, instead they go on to insult me by saying they hardly had any as a supply store and needed the little they had lolol. In other words they did not have some for ME? My skin color, my accent, or my disability? I'm also pretty sure that it was by management on those words as I over heard, the embarrassed employee walk back to pass on the message to me that they did not have any for sale for me. I'm a 44 year old professional man. I don't need the insults, next time I recommend you just keep it short simple and honest...I advise everyone to go to the Palm Springs office or any other UPS store that is not this one.
