I have had several packages from this post office delivered to the wrong address. Recently, I had another package delivery coming from UPS that was delivered to this post office and then shipped to my address.Once again, it was given to a neighbor, but fortunately they were honest enough return the item to the proper address. The address was completely different from my own, so I am not sure how a postal worker made the mistake, but it is worrisome to know that these kinds of mistakes are being made. The holidays are right around the corner and I am definitely going to be looking for other options for delivery, because last year none of my packages that were shipped to me through this postal office came. I had to quickly pick up the items, that I had ordered, from the stores and paid quite a bit extra in order for these gifts as well. More money than I paid for them through online purchase and I had to contact each merchandiser to get refunded money for missing purchases. The post office itself was no help. Absolute incompetence from this USPS location. The customer service is poor. I'm not at all surprised to see so many low ratings and I too would give a rating of zero stars if the option were available. read more

The USPS official web site states "walk in passport applications " and lists the days/hours. After driving for a hour to get there, they claim that they are not take appointments for this service! Now, there is no where on the web site that you can make an appointment for this as they already say "walk ins" and don't have the choices like the other post offices that you need to make an appointment for so the Postmaster really needs to see what's going on with their employees or make the changes officially on line. Oh, and then of course, the only one employee who does this, called in sick and no one else could provide this service, appointment or not! So call before you go, hopefully someone will answer the phone but not likely - good luck. read more

I don't live in Pittsburg but I received my package to place of employment here in Pittsburg and more than once l have made mistakes on the delivery address but after I call the post office they either Hold my packages for pickup or they re-deliver to the correct address. Horrible service I paid $13 to have a time sensitive letter delivered the next day and it didn't happen. The women who work there are extremely rude and usps in general just sucks. I would rate ZERO if I could....Me & my roommate have had so many issues with our mail for the past few months. Numerous packages keep getting reported delivered that never came. There's been times where LUCKILY others (usually people from a totally different street than ours came & brought us a package that was accidentally delivered to their address instead of ours) but unfortunately, usually we get stuck with not ever getting packages that drivers are listing as delivered. I've had business packages that were supposed to come that showed as delivered & still 6 weeks later I was waiting for it to get reshipped because they had sold out of 2 items I ordered originally. Us not getting our mail or packages is really not cool. Our next step is coming in person to complain because this is fucking ridiculous to keep going through. I'm constantly waiting for a certain day (which right now is pushed out because of covid) because even though shipping is quick, expected delivery times aren't normal right now. Which means I'm usually waiting 3-4, sometimes even more weeks just to get a package or refund on packages that you guys are marking as delivered. I am highly disappointed in the service we're receiving! We've had credit cards either never delivered or somehow disappear which would be crazy since our neighbors watch for any suspicious shit like that. We've also had mailmen hand our mail to people walking away from our door that actually don't even live in our residence. Crazy how easily fooled a mailman can be, especially on a route you aren't familiar with....I mean I would assume you would have to leave mail in a box, not handing someone mail because they're close to my door. I wanted to leave a positive review for this place! I went to antioch post office and had a horrible experience and was lied to etc... This very nice woman at the front desk named "will..." I could only catch a part of her nametag because I didnt want her to think I was staring at anything other than her nametag....... so it was kinda difficult... BUT SHE WAS AWESOME and she helped me in a timely manner, she was professional and very respectful. I would give 10 stars if it was an option. This is by far the worst post office imaginable. Sometimes my packages arrive with a hole and partially opened. Forget about putting your mail on vacation hold, they'll still deliver it to your address. You'll run the risk of having packages delivered to your house while you're on vacation! So yes, the packages will be left outside on the porch for intruders to steal. The supervisor won't respond to your calls or concerns. If you run into any issues with this post office, your best bet is to contact the general USPS number and complain to them. read more

I don't even know how government establishments could be run like such sh*t. First of all I'd like to say that I've made complaints against my mail carrier 3 different times because he likes to say he delivered my packages but then they're not in my locked mailbox. Sometimes showing up 10 days later or not at all. Ive lost money!! I've written and called the supervisor of this establishment more times than I can count. Never a voicemail option. I've written complaints with promises that the supervisor will call me back immediately - yeah freaking right! Sometimes I wonder if the supervisor number I've been given is even a legit number! The post office is a government as you can get. People get paid to be rude, basically. Some of the people at the counter are really nice, but 99% of the staff are extremely rude. The carriers are a real joke. If you are getting anything bigger than a toothpick in the mail you better be ready to play Postal Office Bingo. Sometimes the package ends up at Atlantic Plaza, sometimes it goes to Railroad avenue, and the rest of the time it hovers in another dimension all together. I took me two weeks to get a box the size of a candy bar re-delivered, they could never remember where the heck they put it in between leaving pink notices. When they finally tracked it down, and said they would deliver again, the package never showed up. I had to call one of the 'supervisors' (anyone that answers the phone is a supervisor, including the janitor) to track the box down. They apparently overlooked the box, and promised to redeliver, again, which never happened. The box did finally arrive, it's a good thing the shipper sent it Priority Overnight, or else I may not have received it for another year. I can say that I did schedule a meeting with Cina Kreisel, the Postmaster for Pittsburg, and she was very helpful. The delivery problems got much better for a few months, and then the stars apparently fell out of alignment again, or their heads got crossed with Uranus, because the same stuff started happening again. If you run into trouble with the Pittsburg Post Office, call and ask for Cina Kreisel, or even better, send her a letter and skip all that ridiculous 'supervisor' business. read more

If I could give this location no stars I would. This location is horrible. After tracking my package online, they indicated that a notification was left. There wasn't one in my box or with the packages the left on my porch. I finally get a hold of someone on the phone and they told me my package would be at this location and even entered it into the system for me to pick up. As soon as the individual looked at the paper I handed him and my ID, he proceeds to tell my that my package isn't there and that the carrier must still have it. He didn't even bother to look. I had my cluster box broken into They brought my mail Bach to main office Pittsburg on Railroad. I went to get it and asked the lady supervisor would they be leaving mail in my box still or not at all since it can still be locked. A simple question right???? Yes or no But she rambled on and on about things I didn't care. I beg to differ with other yelpers. This post office had plenty of hard working young postal employees processing mail and passports at lunchtime. When the line was beginning to get long they had the people wanting passports to go in the other room to create a different line. which freed up the line for those who just needed postal services. Our neighborhood mailboxes had been vandalized TWICE in two weeks , so I was there to pick up my mail. The worker called the actual mail person to verify that our box was rekeyed and all the mail had been taken to be delievered by our mail carrier. So I will return again. read more

I just went in yesterday and had the worst service. Its not like usually you receive great service. Most of the time its someone who seems to hate their job no hello just a "what can I do for you?" With no enthusiams at all with lack of energy workers. But yesterday oh gosh yesterday, this young black women who happens to be clerk 15 (I didnt get her name) was very rude. She tells me first if I need to pay for my envelopes and I said no because the gentleman had already given it to me he said free because I was going to pay for a whole pack of envelopes he said there was no need to he would give them to me. (Hes usually the best to see there even though he doesnt have that enthusiam for customer service but he does his job without an attitute.) She then mumbles to her self then she asks the guy that gave me the envelope if this was true he says yes, and then she mumbles to herself again. The whole time she was rude, and mumbling to herself, but what got to me more was when she said you can swipe your card and I did then she raises her voice to me and says "I said put it in!". At this point I say nothing because Im pretty upset and I just want to loose my temper. Besides that I had to wait a long time waiting in line to finally receiving the worst service ever. I can't say I've ever been a proponent of this particular post office because up until a few months ago the service was horrific. There have been times when I've finally gotten the mail at 6:30pm and on some occasions where we haven't gotten any at all (not even junk-and we get tons of it every day). BUT, this review (all 5 stars) is for our new regular carrier, Christina! Not only does she arrive at a reasonable hour, she actually knows how to read and nicely follows our request not to just leave packages (that don't fit in the mailbox) on the porch to be stolen. She puts them in a large foot locker that we've provided (padlock also provided) and actually rings the bell to notify me of the delivery. One of our former carriers actually had the audacity to say to me: "What! Do I look like your personal secretary. If you're not home, it gets left on the porch - after that, it's not my problem!" Even when she knew I was at home she'd just dump the package and not even bother to ring the bell! Had I been her boss, she would have long ago been SO FIRED! Christina, on the other hand, is the total opposite. She's a delightful young woman with a wonderful attitude and a beautiful smile! That every employer should be so lucky to have such an exemplary employee! Thank you so much for your valuable service, Christina! You are very much appreciated! read more

Worst service ever. Lost all my mail in a po box because the "number fell off on their side", took 3 weeks to get a letter from them stating that. Manger promised a letter, but went on vacation and forgot. Replacement manager, promised 2 more times to have a letter in the po box, and failed. I demanded a letter before leaving the establishment and got one. Several months later my mail was being returned to my vendors & customers. They had no excuse, or answers. They said the manager was not in and no good time to return. In other words, get lost, they dont care... Simply a shame to the postal service! read more

If I could give a zero rating I would. My mailbox was broken into over 6 months ago. I have to come to the post office to retrieve my mail during business hours which is also during my work hours. The people are rude and take FOREVER to retrieve my mail- sometimes 20-30 minutes. I have called the main office in Oakland to try to get some answers as to when they will fix the box and they just tell me that they have one contractor for all of Northern California to fix mailboxes. WHAT!????? I'm a taxpayer. I pay for this service. If they are not delivering mail, then shouldn't there be extra people to help with giving out mail at the post office? If I knew this was happening I would never had moved here and moved to a place with individual mailboxes. Please at least hire competent and friendly people who understand some of us have jobs and don't have an hour to waste pickup by up mail that I pay to get delivered. read more

Horrible! I have had multiple pieces of mail stolen and opened from this location. They say things are delivered when they haven't been delivered. They conveniently "lose" mail. THIEVES!! I have a locked mailbox that only me and the mailman have the key to and it hasn't been tampered with. Mail doesn't arrive until after 8pm often! I have filed multiple claims with the customer service center regarding missing packages. Oddly enough my "lost" packages arrive shortly after I file a claim. Things that were saying delivered days prior all showed up hours after filing a claim. Paychecks gone missing. Everything! I'm fed up. Even one of the customer service reps I spoke with said it was odd how it was manually put in as delivered instead of scanned when she see's scans taking place after that. All the other workers make excuses for each other. Do they not understand that we can track the packages? This has been going on for a while but has gotten really bad over these past 2 months. I'm guessing there are new THIEVES that work here now. But they have stolen from the wrong one this time. I've contacted the investigation unit as well as 7 on Your Side! I moved to this area almost 1 year ago, a new home development in San Marco. To this day we have NEVER received mail delivery! Although we of course are expected to pay taxes to the City of Pittsburg, CA, it appears we are not entitled to have our mail delivered simply because they don't have anyone hired to deliver in this area. WHAT? And it gets worse...try going to this post office to retrieve your mail. Every resident in this area and surrounding areas are not getting their mail delivered either (for various reasons). The lines are ridiculously long, the staff are slow and rude, and the residents are very angry! If you haven't already bought in this area...Don't!! I don't see any resolution or attempt at resolution coming anytime soon. Even the government site for registering a USPS complaint falls on deaf ears. No response, no action. Horrible! Worst post office! 4 of my packages were never delivered to my house after my email said it was delivered. I always file a report and complain and all I get is a email saying sorry the packages were not found. It's easy for the carriers to steal our packages because they know all we get back is a lousy email saying "sorry". I have my packages sent to another location and I get EVERYONE of them, but I have it sent to my home and none of them are delivered! I drove to this particular post office to apply for a passport because I could drop in without an appointment. I also read a great review about Keevin who processes passports at this location. Keevin was friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient! Great customer service and very personable. I was in and out in 10 minutes! I'm in the process of an investigation, my wife and I have had 3 different items either stolen or not delivered to our home. We have a tracking number, time of delivery from Amazon, but when we checked security cameras for a delivery for that time and date, the video shows no activity for that entire day!! We also have video footage from that day which started from 7AM to 10PM....so this post office must have a lot of thieves as this seems to be a common problem with this particular station. My question is, when will the authorities (police) do something about it? Since I'm Black, they might shoot me for complaining I don't know. read more
