I been avoiding coming to this post office because of previous bad experiences, however I had a question regarding renewing my passport , backstory there's a website called Govt and they supposedly renew your passport online to avoid going to the post office but I felt some kind of way and I went to the post office to asked if this was their website, just wanted to make sure I didn't expose my personal information, anyway long story short the sweet young lady at the counter said she was not familiar with it and that most likely it was a 3rd party website, she told me to make an appointment at the kiosk to renew the passport. I feel so bad because I can't remember her name, but she was very sweet, I truly hope my experience today at the post office is the norm now and not that I was just lucky because this post office services used to be awful. Context: I've filed a police report, two reports with USPIS, a report with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, contacted USPS twice directly, and visited the branch in person. On July 11, after a string of cash thefts from my inbound mail, a credit card bound for my Antioch, CA address went missing. It was not delivered as expected, even though it showed up in my Informed Delivery dashboard. The credit card and it was activated without my knowledge or consent in the days following the theft. A purchase was then made in Oakland, California, again without my consent. I discovered the purchase and closed the card immediately. I also reached out to USPIS to file a report and contacted USPS directly. I received a follow up phone call to the reports stating that USPS was aware of the thefts in my area of town, and they were withholding delivery to "throw off" the thieves. Note: my neighborhood uses multiple cluster mailboxes. I considered the issue closed, and distributed flyers to my neighbors to keep them aware. I also posted a sign near the mailboxes, checked my mail frequently (multiple times daily) and monitored my informed delivery dashboard in the following weeks. INTERNAL THEFT SUSPECTED: Things took a turn on August 9th,.I expected a replacement debit card to be delivered, along with two other mailpieces. I waited for the postman and intercepted him immediately after delivery - I watched as he delivered the mail, checked my mailbox immediately as he drove away, and found my debit card to be missing. This marked the 4th cash/high value item missing from my mail (birthday cards w/money, credit/debit cards) along with items with my personal information such as insurance letters. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THIS TIME, there was absolutely no time for anyone to have stolen the item given that I checked my mail as soon as delivery occurred. As the postman drove away, I hopped in my car, and met him further down my alleyway as he delivered to another neighborhood cluster mailbox. I explained that I was looking for my debit card and showed him my Informed Delivery dashboard which showed 3 mailpieces for delivery. Only two arrived, with the 3rd (debit card) missing. He looked through the remaining mail to be delivered, and even revisited my unit's cluster mailbox to confirm he didn't mis-deliver the debit card. He also confirmed nobody was following him and he witnessed no theft, which I already knew from my own observation. He suggested I wait a few days in case the debit card was actually delayed. I visited the Tregallas post office on 8/11 and was again told to wait over a week for the item to turn up. The USPS worker was extremely dismissive (I would not be surprised if she was part of the theft ring) even though I informed her of the trend of missing cash/financial cards/personal documents. I filed a second report with USPIS, along with a police report, and a report with CFPB. USPS has not taken my claims seriously, other than stating that they were aware of the theft. When I updated my claim with information from August 9th (i.e. the debit card never made it to my mailbox, it was stolen before delivery likely by a USPS employee), I never received a follow up. This is a serious issue taking place in Antioch, CA and is not an isolated incident, as confirmed by USPS itself and by anecdotes from neighbors. While mail stolen from mailboxes is also an occurrence, this internal theft is even more threatening given the financial ramifications and compromised security. The Tregallas location is crooked and harboring thieves who brazenly violate Federal laws, stealing from hard-working people for their own gain. Employees there cover for their peers as they commit crimes, leaving honest residents to pick up the pieces. I will continue to escalate this on every platform and with every government official possible until USPS takes definitive action and stops doling out lip service. read more

Please save yourself a trip! Do not recommend this location because of the customer service. Workers are rude and lazy. Went to mail international priority mail before they closed and as I get in line after filling out a few forms a worker tells me they can't do international delivery after 4:30pm. They close at five. Is this a joke? I had children at home i had to coordinate childcare for them just to take the package in the evening. I went prior to this to mail another package and another lady helping me says i need 4 more numbers for the zip! I told her i didn't have this issue with a previous package i mailed to the exact location. She took forever and acted like it was a big deal. It ended up being a bunch of zeros. I went to pick up a package when a notification was left at my house that the packages would be available at this post office to be picked up which is fine b/c I wouldn't be available to receive them at home. Instead b/c of some idiot who can't do a simple job my package got marked for redelivery. I was met with an attitude by the pug looking gremlin at the counter when I asked questions like if they could reach out and tell the mailman to leave the packages at my house. This is the absolute worst post office I've ever seen. The carriers do not deliver the mail on time. I have received other peoples mail on many occasions. When visiting, the line is always out the door. I spent twenty minutes waiting on line to buy stamps during my last visit. The staff is just out rite LAZY! Why even work here if you're rude to the customers? I personally had a really friendly customer service agent help me out. But one of the agents announced to those in line to have forms filled out before they reach the counter, because basically she wasn't trying to work extra on a Saturday. I'm paraphrasing that last part, but that was the sentiment she got across. All of the customers just looked at each other like "wtf". Isn't it your job to help the customers? I would think a majority of customers wouldn't know what forms they need to fill out. They are there for YOUR help to send stuff out. In Antioch Carriers need to be rode with, wear body cameras perhaps, and evaluated on their ROUTES!!! Nothing has changed with this location in 5 years things are still coming up missing.I have informed delivery I love this feature it showed I was to receive my credit card a few days ago. I checked my mailbox received every item but that one. Fast forward I check my online card account someone has used the credit card I never received at a gas station 5 cities over. Every time I come here the line is out the door. Im always patiently waiting for my turn, I have even translated for these ladies. Today, I went in to pay my PO Box. We made an appointment for our son's passport. My husband and I were 5 minutes early with all the required paperwork. As we waited by the passport appointment door, a lady yelled across the room, asking if we needed help. We replied yes, and she assured us that we would be next. My husband thanked her. When we reached the counter and handed over our papers, Employee "D" found issues with everything we provided, making a big scene and exclaiming, "I CAN NOT accept all of this." Instead of offering assistance or asking how she could help, she didn't. It seemed like Employee "D" was already having a bad morning. My husband, who took the day off work to complete the passport process, was very upset with how we were treated. My husband asked for a supervisor, and it was clear that the supervisor was already aware that another customer is complaining about Employee "D." Employee "D" needs to be kind and considerate. People are going through a lot, and we just need to be kind to one another. read more

I refuse to use this post office as I had two packages taken two different times. I sell online. I use a certain print for all my packages. My husband dropped the first package off and the woman gave him an attitude. He asked if she could not be rude. She rolled her eyes and put the package into bin. It never made it to be scanned! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought well maybe mistakes happen. I put through another package on another day using same envelope I use. Well that one went missing prior to being scanned again!! I truly believe she remembered my unique packaging from the first time. When the second one went through she knew what I sold and snatched it up for herself! I sell sterling and estate jewelry online. First time I lost a $65 letter opener second time I lost about $50 of jewelry. No way to file a claim as items were never scanned in. I drive way out to Oakley to use post office now. I even changed envelopes as I am so scared to lose more items. I should have demanded to speak to the postal inspector rather than just have staff ask if I was sure I dropped it off! I have also heard of identity theft when processing passports at this branch. It was a few years ago but it happened. Too much negativity here for me to trust. read more

Poor customer service and very rude clerk #19 on 10/04/23 PM. I don't think she likes her job, she treated us like we're dirt and don't know or understand anything. I don't know how much education she received and what she accomplished. But, it doesn't matter, bottom line is we suppose to be courteous, (minimum) when you're in a customer service business. Appreciate that we have a job and without the customers we've seen businesses and agencies struggle. This is our second time dealing with this unprofessional behavior and treatment. This visit was surprisingly pleasant. The line was long but the two worker were proficient and very engaging with customers. When my turn came up, the lady that helped me was courteous, professional and addressed my questions well. They were friendly to everyone they interact with. Awful postal service. My main mail carrier is awesome but if he's off for the day and there is a sub that's where things get bad! I never get my packages and they always mark them delivered! They have even came at 10 pm some nights to bring mail. I'm sorry but no! I had a package marked as delivered by USPS, but it never made it into my mailbox. I was concerned because there has been a lot of mail theft in Antioch lately. I spoke with a rep at the post office who told me that most of the time, a package that is unable to be delivered due to lateness is marked as delivered by a postal worker in order for them to not have any outstanding deliveries in their system. They told me that I would have my package the next day, but how can anyone guarantee that if the package is marked as delivered? Isn't it a crime for a postal worker / post office to lie about mail delivery in this manner? I am a disabled veteran who depends on a check to be delivered to my home and for some reason within the last year it's late every month 3 or 3 days but this month hasn't been delivered and it is the 7th of the month and no check!! Weekday Lobby hours are posted closing at 5:00 p.m. I've arrived slightly before that and they closed it and once even 10 minutes before that they were ready to close the lobby sliding glass entry door, stating mail had to be ready to go out by 5:15 p.m. Either they are short-handed or simply mismanaged. Having previously used a commercial postal box for years there, often with missing mail or customers asking me why it was returned to them, I'm forced to believe the latter. I wasn't too sure about this post office after reading some of the reviews. It sounded a lot worse, but when I went the first time, everything went smoothly. I've been back a good number of times and my experience has been great. During lunch hours, it does get busy so expect a wait. I'm not sure what everyone experience is with this post office but ours has been nothing but amazing. Twice now they accommodated us for passports while waiting in between clients. Pittsburg post office didn't even care if we had to drive 2 hours to Sacramento for a walk in appt to get our passports. I understand that appointments are required but we had a condo overseas that we had to go see abruptly and didn't have thr 6 months validity. Anyhow antioch was very accommodating and they were courteous and swift in all their interactions during the time we were there.
