Horrible service ... upon arriving I already knew it wasn't going to be a pleasant experience. I usually go to the self service kiosks for this reason. I walk up to the counter and explain to the lady sitting in a chair... that I have pre paid label I need printed out for my boxes. She rolls her eyes and gives me attitude when I tell her I just need them all printed out & I'll put the label on each package myself because I have the names written on each package to make it easier because that's what you do when you use the self service kiosks. Instead of just having some patience and thinking about it for 5 seconds to understand what I'm saying she uses attitude to get through her day. Grow up and learn how to work in customer service. Learn to adapt to the younger generations we don't know about your usps guidelines ma'am. Not every one was born in the early 90s :) . I'd rather travel an extra 30 minutes to a concord usps to have a better experience with a self service kiosk and then they wonder why robots take over their jobs :) store Managers should really start looking at reviews to better manage their business. I went in January 29th, 2024 to seek assistance with shipping several small packages, 22 to be exact. Before I could approach the desk, the postal worker was rude to two other customers. One customer didn't fill out a form correctly and when informed of doing so the postal worker told him he couldn't give him another as there wasn't many forms available. The postal worker proceeded to tell the customer it was his fault (the customer) and that he couldn't assist further. Another customer was checking out with this same postal worker and when her pin didn't go through the postal worker said "you need to know the correct pin, this never happens to me". Insinuating that she was incompetent for the error. When it was my turn with the postal worker, I informed him (older man with glasses and head covering) that I tried to process my postage online but did not have a scale to accurately weigh my packages. He then interrupted me and said "well you need a scale to do this online". I informed him that I didn't have a scale at home which is why I came to the post office. He then proceeded with "I can't weigh your packages unless I do the postage here". I replied "great, I have 22 small packages that need to be shipped." His response was then "there's a long line behind you, you need to do this online." Taken back by his rudeness I asked, "if that's the case can you weigh one package so I can continue to process my postage online?" He took my box and began the weighing process while slamming on his computer screen. Once I was given the weight and my package back I left. My overall experience at this post office with this postal worker was less than acceptable. I understand that not everyone can be in a great mood but brushing off customers the way he did me was uncalled for. read more

Alright, the good news about this post office is that it exists. I guess that's an automatic one star. I'm adding two stars for Ruth, the friendly counter clerk who is a one-woman vault of USPS intelligence that will guide you through the dark passage of mailing and packaging and bring you to the other side unscathed. But you better get Ruth. Because if you don't get Ruth, you don't really know what the price of whatever transaction you're making truly is. I've gotten a variety of prices for the exact same size envelope and weight that I've always used. Randomly, Ruth told me one day that my package was actually media mail and was eligible for a very, very reduced rate from what I had been paying. went in today to ship out and return some things. bad three medium sized boxes and a bunch of packages to ship. i went by myself so i didn't have enough hands to bring everything in bc it was heavy as well. so i had to take two rounds. the first round i came in (the older man with a head covering) assist me and i told him i had to go back to my car to get more packages because i couldn't carry it all by myself & outta no where he passively aggressively said "why didn't you bring it all in at once!!" and i was taken back by then and was like "i couldn't carry of all of it there's a lot of packages" he then said "well you could've just used the foodsco shopping cart" when he said this i thought it was extremely rude and unprofessional because why would i walk to foodsco get their cart to use and bring it all the way in the post office... i replied with "i didn't know that" and he said "well now you know". i left pretty upset and got the rest of the packages to ship as i was already here & it needed to be shipped today. before i left i told him "you were very rude and i did not appreciate that" and left. he was grumpy and rude and doesn't seem like he's suited for this job and environment. will definitely not be coming back. read more

I went in yesterday to get a small Priority Mail shipping box and there weren't any stocked. The lines were out the door so I just "yelped" out to the clerk if there was any. The response was something on the lines he hasn't gotten to that. I didn't know if could have gotten one if I had waited in the long line. He kind of left me hanging and as though I wasn't not important and I thought he was rude, so I shrugged my shoulders and left. I can't understand why fhjnhs aren't stocked up before the doors are opened or when someone's shift is over the day before. Gheres no excuse for this. I went to the Clayton PO today to get the Priority Box and the store was immaculate and well stocked. I won't go into the Atlantic PO anymore unless I don't have a choice. This clerk when I have gone in before acknowledges me as, "Hi my friend" so yesterday so appalling how I was treated. read more

RUDE! Indian guy with the turban was completely rude to me. I do not care if there's 20 mailboxes outside, I don't get my mail delivered but 2 or maybe if I'm lucky 3 days a week and if I want to stand in line to hand off a piece of mail that needs to be post dated TODAY, it's my business to do so. It doesn't mean you have to unnecessarily give me attitude to ask you to do your job and accept my piece of mail instead of putting it inside a box. I used to prefer coming here for convenience since it is closeby. Everything seems to be well, until I was told by one Lady staff, we dont scan and give receipt for any pre postaged mail for return. I dont want to argue with her and I should have not left my packages with her, other staff and other branches scan our pre postage mail and receipt are issued. There we go, both my return are lost, gone in the air, lost money...now stolen parcels.... not a good place to trust your mail or any other things....Now I dtive to a farther usps where my packages and mail never ever got lost . It is never easy each and every time I come to this location to do business. The employees at this location do not feel like they have to follow standard operating procedures. I have to argue with them over applying postmark on the customer's receipt, be it Certified Mail, Registered Mail, or Priority Express Mail. The postmark is proof of mailing and must be applied to customer's copy of receipts. Another thing I have to argue with them about is "acceptance clerk's initials" or "employee's initials" which are clearly printed on various postal forms, the staff at this office absolutely refuse to complete their portions of postal forms. They failed to end each transaction with asking if customer wish to purchase Forever Stamps, they failed to ask customers to do the survey, and failed to circle the scan code at the bottom of the receipts. I suspect this office fails mystery shopper every time and on so many levels. read more

I hate going to this post office and would rather go to Antioch or the one downtown. This one always has a huge slow line, the parking can be terrible since it's right next to the grocery store, the forms and slips are a mess (just the entire inside is rather ghetto) and the way it's laid out impossible to find sometimes (since the line forms right up against the table with the forms) and the employees are usually extremely rude. This especially makes me go out of my way not to go to this office, just the attitude of the workers like you're interrupting their day if you need them to do their jobs. Unfortunately this is the one that handles my mail and I've had numerous problems over the years. The most recent one being them leaving several packages on my doorstep when they should not have. Worst post office is the Main office in Pittsburg. Terrible experience every time I have to go get a package. They have lost many items and really do not give a hoot. The supervisor always had a attitude and let's you know she rather be doing something else than helping you. This post office is filled with employees that act like they are entitled. I requested a mail hold for my vacation and they either ignored it or lost it. They delivered 3 packages on my porch and luckily my neighbor picked them up & kept them until I got home. Went to this post office today on a Saturday morning. First off the office was completely dirty and smelled of foul odors. The service there was less than one star. My total was 25$ I only had a hundred dollars bill. No where in the store said we do not accept 100$ bills. She said to me..." never come to the post office in the am with 100$ bill" I said excuse me? What do I do." Her reply was go next door to and get change. I asked her to give me my mail back and she ripped off all the tracking numbers that she put on there leaving most of it on the packaging. I asked her about it and she said she did what she could. I called to ask a simple question regarding my redelivery. I simply wanted to know if it was possible to request a time for delivery. Before I even finished asking my question, I got a sharp response saying that I had to wait days for my package to be redelivered. I was not inquiring that and requested the redelivery time to be days later anyway. They basically gave me an answer to a question I never asked. When I did get my question answered, they rudely hung up the phone immediately after without even a simple "goodbye" and without knowing if I had any other questions. Not only is the customer service terrible, but they've also lost my package before. I forgave that until I learned how rude their employees are. The heavy set clerk is extremely rude. She was not willing to help me this morning because I had a Starbucks drink. She called me up to her desk & I put down the package I was sending out, my purse & drink to pass her the package. Apparently she is allergic to coffee? She is extremely rude & asked of me to go to the back or outside once I had already got to the desk & throw away my Starbucks drink b/c she is allergic to coffee. She then sprayed febreeze all over & turned a big fan on (extremely dramatic) saying she can't stand the smell of coffee. So it's either she doesn't like the smell or allergic, can she choose first?! The whole turning the fan on when it's 40 degrees out. I am sentiment to health but if she is allergic, this post office should have a sign at the front of the store to notify customers beforehand. There is this male clerk that works there too, & he politely asked me to go to his desk for him to help me instead. He apologized for her rude antics. I think she should either not work there or this office should have signs outside about the "coffee allergen" she has always been rude to customers throughout the years so she shouldn't be around customers if she has no patience with anyone & making up stories just because she doesn't want to help people. . The indian man and african american woman are SOOOOO rude i went there once and because i'm a teen and i'm not at the post office at all i didn't know what i had to do to return a package, they charged me twice for a box and the indian man made me tape it like i knew how to, i didn't even know how to tape the box and i asked and he just said read what's on there. I then asked another lady in line and she helped me. When i went to give it to him he said he couldn't ship it out because he couldn't print the label so i said okay and when i went back he was like why didn't you tape the label onto the box, i didn't think i needed to tape it because it was paper and normally it's a sticker so i thought they'd do something with it, basically he gave me tape and was like tape it, i said i don't know how to use packaging tape in that device he shook his head and did it in a sloppy manner. Just the other day i had to drop off a package and he said i had to drop it off and leave. IM NEVER THERE HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT. The USPS website clearly shows that passport services are available on Saturdays from 10 - 1. We travelled from a neighboring city and got there early, and stood in line. Once they opened, the woman behind the counter says, "Is anyone here for passport services?" Several people in line raise their hands. She then goes on to say, "We are not doing passport services today, but you can come back on Monday..." I ask when the next weekend passport services will be available, and she says "they" stopped doing it on weekends. Of course there is no accountability. I'm sure the website will continue to say they do weekends. I tried to call the national support line to ask them to change the website, but the wait time was over an hour. What a friggin waste of time! Now I will have to take time off work to get my son the passport he needs for an upcoming trip. read more
