We utilize this location mostly because it has the 24-hour self-serve kiosk which is helpful when we need to send something off that's outside the normal business hours. One thing that can slow down the process is when people that aren't so tech savvy try to ship on their own. It's not an easy process, you have to type a lot of things in on a touch display that doesn't always recognize your input, choose different mailing options and then tackle the payment process. If you see this happening, be a pal and ask the person if they need help - most of the time they welcome it. Though it's convenient, I feel like the US post office is the most expensive way to send anything anymore comparatively to FedEx or even UPS, and it actually takes longer than its competitors as well. BUSINESS OWNERS STAY AWAY. I've been in business and sending packages for a year and have had zero issues taking them to the post office closest to my house. As we've increased the amount of shipments going out I decided to take them to this post office as it was closer to my studio in old town orange. BIG MISTAKE. In 1,000 packages I'd only ever had one lost and maybe 2 delayed - until I made the switch to this place. In the past 4 weeks I've had 6 packages lost and so many stuck in pre-transit mode (despite my scanning each of them at the kiosk). My customers are upset, I've given more refunds in 2 weeks than I had in the prior year combined and am certain at least 5 of these packages may never arrive. WTAF? So unprofessional and inept. One other thing - the front counter employees seem shorter in attitude - compared to my Tustin location. This isn't likely and employee issue but bad management at the site. I ordered chairs through Amazon. The postal carrier did not knock on the door or ring the bell. They put a slip in the mailbox on 6-29 saying the item didn't fit in the mailbox. I scanned the QR code and scheduled redelivery for 6-30. Still no chairs at the end of the day on 7-1. I have called at least 6 times. Rings and rings then hangs up. I spoke to the 800 number for USPS. They will send an email to this post office to redeliver the package. 2-3 days for a response to the email. GOOD NEWS...I called Amazon and they are willing to never use USPS on any of may future deliveries. You all can make that request too. FedEx and UPS never torture me like this. It's sad our postal service is so horrible compared to the competition on delivering a package. read more

Mail delivered anytime from 10am until 7pm because I'm on a pickup route. That means no regularly scheduled mail carrier. It's been that way for 22 years. 12/20/2021 If I could give zero stars I would. Their little supervisor is so rude and will give you attitude from the very start. I went in to find my package and she told me to call because she has no control over my package because "it's not at her location." So I call the 800 number and the guy tells me my package is in fact there and that they should be able to track my package there. I go back and this new super friendly helpful guy comes and is willing to go find my package in the back. Then she comes and recognizes me and gives me attitude again saying it's not there and I explain to her that I did call how she told me to and she tells me the 800 number doesn't know anything and aren't helpful because they don't have accurate information. THEN WHY WASTE MY TIME AND TELL ME TO CALL? I was on hold for over an hour. RIDICULOUS. And then she says that my package IS THERE but that she doesn't want to pull an employee to go find my package after that guy was willing to. So unprofessional. Nothing will ever compare to the Santa Ana post office. *sigh* I recently moved and had all my packages transferred here and much to my dismay they keep business hours and don't stay open any later. I arrived at 4:55pm and was turned away and rudely told "we're closed." Don't you close in 5 minutes? Can't you just locate two packages for me? Nope. Came back the next day and there was a line out the door. No one was expediting like they do at the Santa Ana office. Finally someone stepped up and started asking people what they wanted and even that was a lazy attempt. The guy looked like he couldn't care less and took his precious time assisting people in line. If you've got a long line, you need more people expediting to move things along. Ugh. This is an older nicer looking branch with some charm but the charm is only within the walls. The line was for postal services long, as expected, but the passport line was short. All I have to say is if we had been in the line with the postal services we could have been seen twice. In between each passport person, the guy helping with passports would take between three and six postal customers. I am all for helping people in the order they came, but when people who got in a line much later than I had arrived are seen first, it gets a little frustrating. It took nearly an hour (57 minutes) ... and getting my passport took equal or less time than some customers needs with packages. A different system needs to be in place because to wait so long when other customers arrived later is not really fair. On a side note and why it was not a one star rating is because the guy helping with the passports was super nice, helpful and efficient... his boss not so much. She pulled him aside to tell him to help more people (that just kept refilling) from the postal office line. :/ read more

The best thing about the post office is the self service scale and postage stamp dispenser available 24 hours a day. It also have drive up mail boxes to drop mail into. They are always super busy, so be prepared to wait, unless you can use the above mentioned self service station. They have a good selection of shipping supplies, both free and for purchase. Getting in and out can be a bit of problem depending on traffic so plan accordingly. read more

I have had more than one horrible experience with this post office. I have missing mail and packages that seem to disappear into thin air. I often do not receive packages that are supposedly accepted from the UPS innovation center in Fontana. I just found a neighbor's mail - from a medical office per the return address - on the walkway leading to my house. The neighbor lives a block from my house. I delivered the mail. I don't like to bash the post office because I have found it to be efficient and competent in the past. Don't Ever Believe This Office Tell You Anything About Your Delivered Packages. They are a bunch of irresponsible federal employees! They don't have the mentality and sense of security for other people's property. Shame for them to be hired to work for the federal government. This office need to be investigated! Incidents happened on 11/14/2015 to 11/25/2015: Within the same week I have 5 packages marked delivered on the tracking info but I received none of them. I called and went to this post office to check on my packages. Each time the supervisors said they will check with the driver and call me back. I never receive calls. The last phone call with the post office the clerk told me: 'your packages were delivered to your address and the GPS confirmed that. You need to go online to file insurance claim. There is nothing we can do for you'. I filed report with police department and I went online to file insurance claims but my insurance claims are denied because the packages were delivered. Senders will not refund me because the packages were delivered. Credit card companies will not credit my account because the packages were delivered. I believe the postman scanned my packages at my address to have a record on his GPS that my packages were delivered but in fact the postman did not leave my packages in my front door or in the mail box. I talked to the postman when I saw him delivering mails in my area. He told me he noticed sometimes there is a car following him while he is doing his delivery because people know his delivery schedule and the people in the car took the packages he just dropped off. I told him he should write down their license plate number and call the police. I told him he should leave a note for the home owner to pick up their packages from post office if they are not home especially during holiday season. He said he doesn't know if the people in the car live in my gated community and he can not leave note for every home owner and he just wanted to finish his delivery. Unbelievable! What an irresponsible federal employee! Don't have the mentality and sense of security for other people's property. He should be fired! I told him people will believe he scanned my packages so his GPS would show my packages were delivered to my address but in fact he did not drop off my packages in my front door. I requested him to leave me a note in the future for me to pick up my packages at the post office. I was almost let go of the issue not receiving my 5 packages. But today on the tracking info said the postman left me a note of trying to deliver my package but I don't find the note in my mail box or the front door. The note is no where to be found. He must be kidding me? Someone stole my note too? Or the wind blew it away? It didn't look like it's a windy day today (11/25). He should leave the note in my mail box or stick the note between my double doors or under the door mate if he wants to prove he is sincere of solving my packages issue. Obviously he did not leave the note just like he did not leave my packages. I went to the post office and they told me to come back on Friday at 9 am after the Thanksgiving. The same supervisor (Nancy) I talked to before was very unfriendly to me and she acted like she didn't want to talk to me. When I talked she would use her hand to signal me to stop talking and told me just come back on Friday and she moved on to serve other customers. I felt so helpless with no one to listen to my issue. Something is wrong with this postman and the post office. Police told me I need to complain to the post master but I won't think the post master even care because I talked to him before about my lost packages but nothing get resolved. The whole post office don't seem to care. I've been coming to this post office for over 10 years since I switched my P.O. BOX so I would be closer to home. Let's face it, the post office doesn't have a great reputation for customer service and I've accepted that being that it's a government-run "service. So I have never set unrealistic expectations from any of its employees and quite honestly most of the employees are okay. That being said, I have no choice but to mention a specific employee because she has been condescending--being a post office supervisor doesn't make you better than anyone else--and has below average customer service skills. I didn't catch her name but she looks like she's in her late 60's even though she might be in her mid 50's, typical red, short spiky haircut that older women wear, and glasses. A couple weeks ago I came in to ask for help regarding a package that the post office had had in their possession for 2 weeks at the time that was not deliverable. She didn't greet me with a smile, nor did I expect it as I have explained, instead she simply said "What do you need?" When I told her the issue I was experiencing she said, "It takes a while for packages to get back here, give it another week." I waited another week and returned to inquire about the missing package and was pleasantly surprised to be attended by a very nice lady who is nameless at this point. She is probably in her late 30's, very early 40's, with curly brownish hair about shoulder length. She not only greeted me politely but seemed very genuine about it. After I explained what was going on, she got on the phone and made 2 phone calls to supervisors in Florida. TWO. Unfortunately nobody answered by then again it was a Friday and 1:15 p.m. PST so in Florida it was 4:15 p.m. I highly doubt that anybody would answer at that hour. She provided me with both numbers and told me to call early during the week. She also said that it was strange that I had not received the undeliverable package considering it was priority mail. I walked out feeling hopeful. A whole week passed. And another. So today marks 30 days that the package was schedule to be delivered but wasn't. I've been patient and understanding. Now I'm more worried so I come back to the post office. Lucky for me it's the same lady who actually made the effort to help me on my second visit. Just like the time she helped me, she was friendly, professional, and this time offered to send them an email to someone in Florida and Cc me. Again, I left the post office feeling hopeful. Until...a few hours later and no email received. Maybe she forgot to include the "." of my email address. Maybe she forgot to hit send. Maybe the email servers aren't working. So I came back to the post office to ask her about it. Then I see you-know-who sitting at the desk. As I approach, she looks my way and looks away. I'm not surprised. As she finishes typing whatever she is typing she says, "I'll be with you in a minute." Not rude but definitely not professional or friendly. Then she gets up and walks the 6 feet to where I'm standing at the kiosk and asks, "Yes, can I help you? She should have said, "May I help you?" or "How may I help you?" because I could have been condescending and replied, "I don't know, can you help me?" But I strive to take the high road as always and respect my elders, especially women so I proceed by explaining that I was here earlier and that I was helped by the other lady and mid-sentence she interjected and said, " She's not here." Obviously. I do have eyes. So I ask if she's still here in the office to which she replies, "She's gone for the day." It took me a millisecond to decide that I'm better off waiting for the genuinely friendly and respectful lady who is also knowledgeable than to waste my time with this sad and bitter "person" standing in front of me. This is the big boy post office for Orange. If you need to pick up mail that was on hold, or drop off your taxes on April 15 at 11:59, this is where you go. And... it is a post office. It has long lines. And the lines are not always because of the workers. There are plenty of folks who come in with poorly wrapped packages, don't know what they want, or have to fill out customs forms that they never new existed in order to send a gift to their mother in law up in Canada (yeah, that was me). Again, not the worker's fault. They generally are sunny and helpful, moving the customers along as quick as they can. read more

My package is missing. It doesn't even come out from this USPS. The online tracking said it's in the process to the next facility. This is the first message you will see usually on line, when you send the package. It means it won't come out from this USPS yet. and a week passed. It never got updated. It means my package disappeared? I used other USPS and had never had any missing losing package problem but delayed. When I went to this USPS post office, the lady who did the process made me feel already like this package will disappear. I shouldn't leave the package to her....she did not put the information in the computer for my international priority mail. She said she will do the later. Yellow flag here. She did not put the package in the cage which will process to the next step. Instead she kept my package on her desk. Red flag here. It was very uncomfortable situation. In the fact. On line tracking stays the same until 1/2/2019 and even wouldn't update anymore. I reached out the customer service. She was very helpful and wonderful. It's under investigation. I want my package back! Not the money!! I hope they will find my package somehow. I don't know how. THE WORST!!! I ordered something for my sisters wedding on etsy and USPS said it was delivered to my doorstep. Well my first question is why would you do that? There are 8 lock boxes that it could have been left in. All of them were open when I went to check for my package. Upon seeing this I called and reported that it was not delivered. They told me it was dropped at my leasing. When i told them there was no chance that they left it there. I was told that I was wrong (never mind that I have lived in the same place for 4 years and know the leasing office does not accept packages). Fine call me wrong. I called the office to triple verify that they did not have the box. Nope they do not accept packages and the postal workers know this. I called the post office and was on hold/had to listen to a ringing phone for over an hour total. When someone finally answered he barked at me that I should know better then to call so early and should have waited until 2 hours after they opened to call. Any way it continued to go down hill until they said too bad we show it was delivered there is nothing you can do except file a claim that we will most likely not pay out. Yelp keeps ogling me to review this Post Office because I checked in here. Fine, here is 2 stars for slow service, long lines, and a really shitty parking situation. I will do all I can to NOT have to come to this post office during business hours... when I do, it's like midnight, and I'll use a drop box. Seriously, if you're still standing in line to mail a package (instead of doing it at home using USPS online, or even one of the machines at this location), then I'm not sure what to tell you... because although I am rating at 2 stars, all of this stuff should be expected -- it's the Post Office, right? My fiancé has used the lobby service to ship to the UK and despite the postal service employees vetting the country address, same pkg was returned at least twice because the Post Office didn't understand to what country to deliver "England, GB." However, the drive-thru drop boxes have always worked well, which is what I use predominately. Good thing they have 2 boxes. They do fill up! So when you walk up and pay for postage to ship a package you expect for it to be paid and stamped for, right?? Well, that wasn't the case with me at this place!! I had a small box I needed shipped to Florida. I was sending it first class mail with no speedy needs. For starters the place itself was super busy with only three reps. There was a backed up line and one of the reps was also helping people with passport photos. The rep I got was the lady that was also doing the line for passports. She weighed my package and two other envelopes I had. Charged me postage and as far as I knew my packages were stamped and going to be delivered. My package did get to Florida but instead of being delivered to the house my mother in law received a notice that she had something at the post office and owed money. She did not know what it was but once she went they charged her the postage for the package and told her that it wasn't paid for stamped!! She said it did not have any postage on it!! I was shocked being that i walked up, paid the teller and all was fine. She obviously forgot to place the paid postage on the box but it still got cleared for delivery. It sucks because the package was a gift, my mother shouldn't have had to pay for it!! Service needs to be more on point!! read more

Complete disgust. I own a business 2 blocks away and have never had a routine carrier on my route for the last 10 years. They open the mail, go through the mail, and attempt to reseal the letters with tape while sometimes not at all. I've had nothing but issues with this postal service and when I go in to talk with a supervisor I am often told they'll deliver the message but I never get a response. I've had insurance checks, rebate checks, Christmas cards opened obviously looking for cash, numerous times. They deliver the mail at random hours some times as late at 6pm! Package deliveries have been nothing short of a nightmare as many packages have disappeared or "signed for" but never made it to my clinic. I have deliveries at least once a week by UPS and FedEX with no problems or issues. I know the drivers and delivery people by name from those companies but can't even describe my mailman because they change every week. I tried to give this post office the benefit of the doubt but this last time I waited for HOURS for the delivery which NEVER came. After inquiring AT the post office they claim my business was closed at 11 am in the morning. One of the package was "signed for" and "delivered" even though I never signed or received it and was present during the hours of delivery. Going in the post office there are some helpful people but the supervisor I spoke to said she would bring this up to her supervisor who would then tell the postmaster. Never happens. When I asked for her name she said, "Why? I said I'd handle it" and scribbled on a piece of paper. Complete incompetence, complete dishonesty, complete disgust with the main hub for orange. 3 stars for this branch. 4 if they were a modern newish building. 5 if they have excellent customers svc in addition. This branch is large and older. They do have many PO boxes and a self serve kiosk for afterhours. Customer service is average for postal workers. The parking lot is a weird so be careful. Entering from Northbound Tustin is the only entrance for the drive thru drop. This entrance is also a one way to the main parking. This half of the parking is oneway. The other end has a second entrance but no drop box access, you'll need to go inside. Exiting is either from the center of the lot at the stop light, if you need to make a left, or right. The second entrance is also an exit and doubles as postal vehicle entry, exit. read more

Definitely can't say that I'm surprised that this USPS only has 2 stars. This is probably the worst post office I've ever been to. Unfortunately, I moved into the area about 6 months ago, and this is the closest one to my place. I hate coming here because it's always busy (not the post office's fault, I know, but definitely don't come close to closing!) and their employees are RUDE. José is probably the rudest front desk clerk that I've dealt with there, so rude that I had to call USPS customer service to complain about him and what was said to me during our exchange. Generally, USPS workers aren't the most pleasant, but I've never had to formally complain about one. Not to mention, they mess up my stuff ALL. THE. TIME. Currently, I'm missing a necklace that was custom-made for me because they delivered it to the wrong address. The only reason I know this was when I got a text alert, I noticed that it was delivered to the wrong ZIP Code. Hopefully they'll be able to retrieve it before those residents get my package, but if I had to bet, I'll say I'll never get it. Also, they have ignored every request I've made (i.e. hold mail & mail forwarding) after saying it wouldn't be a problem, and they'd take care of it for you. They literally lost all of the mail that I had on hold for a week - for my entire household. UPDATE: Apparently they don't answer their phone?
