This PO does not have a large drop box, only a small one so some of my packages do not fit. Employees: I've only ever encountered two employees--a Vietnamese woman and a south Asian woman. The Vietnamese woman is very strict with rules and will question my packages if I am using recycled packaging and ask what's inside and what used to be inside. She is also very strict when it comes to package weights, even if the package is one or two ounces overweight. The south Asian woman is much kinder and actually seems like she enjoys her job. Parking is absolutely terrible. The lot is one way and the spots are so tiny. I've only seen a full lot once or twice.

I picked up a form and politely asked the woman if it was the correct form for an international shipment. Instead of responding professionally, she loudly stated, "We don't do them at this time," in a way that everyone in the lobby could hear. She did not apologize or offer any assistance. She then said there were only 10 minutes left until closing, even though it was still before 5:00 p.m. and there were only five people ahead of me in line. A few minutes later, she again announced that they do not process international shipments near closing time, claiming that it takes more than five minutes. She then went to lock the side door and came back to me while I was still waiting in line. She repeated that they would not process my international shipment because they were about to close. I told her that I had already heard her say that multiple times and that I simply needed to pay for the envelope. She continued to insist that I did not need to pay for the envelope instead of addressing my concerns or offering any solution. What was most frustrating was that after 5:00 p.m., several additional customers were still allowed to enter the post office. In fact, as I was leaving, four more people walked in, and there was a line extending out the door. I do not understand why I was refused service for an international shipment when I arrived before closing and other customers were still being allowed into the building. I found the employee's tone and behavior unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. I believe customers who arrive before closing should be treated respectfully and provided with clear, courteous explanations regarding any service limitations.

So even though I got there at 8:05 am and I was by far the first in line I had the misfortune to stand by the door they opened second (outside door) so I ended up being 7th in line and the people that got there after me at the inside door got in first. The lady employee literally walked by me standing at the door to open the other door! Frustrating! TIP: at least today December 2025 they open the INTERIOR door before the exterior door. Unlike some locations that are appointment only for passports you can do occasional walk ins here but check the days/times first since they are very specific! Also be warned: if you show up after hours and want to drop off mail in the outdoor drive thru mailbox: you CAN'T because they lock the exterior mailboxes (you know the big blue ones) after hours now to prevent mail theft!

It's just easier to get in out and off. The only thing to watch for is the parking lot isn't very big and can often get full on busy days. This means the people are backing up without looking, sitting at the entrance waiting for cars to leave, which means cars trying to get in could be stuck on the street, and then people are walking into, or out of, the post office looking down at their phone, or whatever and not paying attention. Therefore, you have to be very careful. Unfortunately, this is also true for the post office on Tustin. Inside, it's pretty normal. I usually just go in a drop something off and leave. But know the line can get pretty long, and it may or may not move quickly. They still lock their doors when they are closed so there's no way to drop something off except a small letter that can fit into the drop box outside.

They completely messed up: Delayed Mailing: They forgot to ship it on time. Even after I called to remind them on the 14th, they delayed it until that night. Unauthorized Signature: They added "Signature Required" without my consent. Because of this, USPS couldn't deliver it to the closed business in Monterey Park, turning a local mail into a 3-day mess. Awful Attitude: When I called for help, they were extremely dismissive, impatient, and told me to "solve it yourself." Zero apologies, zero customer care. Now I have to pick it up myself. There were maybe 5 people ahead of me. I was able to be in and out in about 30 minutes. Around 2:25 PM, people were crowding inside. One booth was partially reserved only for passports. I decided to come here since most locations are either closed on Saturdays or have very reduced hours. I even visited a tiny USPS in Whittier recently that felt super deserted. The downsides are the fact that it is stinky inside (old people funk), and the person behind me got so close as if she was trying to cut the line. But glad I found this place, as it was pretty much the only option for me, due to the availability of hours. My COA was pending and got denied. The employee let me get back in line 3 times, however. I had to fill out a form in person, since the online application was timed out. Hopefully, the system sorts my mail correctly, since the e-mail they sent was extremely insightful. Employees are very kind, and apologized to customers for the wait. They also have ratings for service. FYI: It seems they are also out of tape today. Also, it was really confusing to exit the parking lot since I think they're only three ways to go out and I believe two lead you through residential alleyways.
