Employees are always helpful but when you're trying to use the self-serve kiosk, it's completely unreliable if you're shipping on a regular basis. Three times this month the drop bin for packages is jammed and unusable. Since there's no one here to rectify the situation, it's another wasted trip. read more

I have to admit that going to the PO isn't a fave thing to do, but I had to get a passport to a consulate so needed a pre-paid priority express envelope. The line wasn't that long but there was only one active counter, since the other employee was helping a lady with her packages. The person that helped me was efficient and didn't take long at all to get my envelope in the system, it was all rather easy and painless. Yay! The cost of mailing was $31 -steep but necessary so I got two set up: to send and then get back my document. With UPS and postal services places offering returns as well as other common services I haven't been in for a couple years, and nothing has changed inside. The long counter in the photo is supposed to have stamp gifts and other things that customers might need or want, but the case is empty and dusty everywhere. They used to have teddy bears and such, which made the line more interesting. I give three stars for the fustiness inside and because there was only one person at the counter that could help. I'm disappointed with USPS. I sent a simple manilla envelope--nothing bulky or special--from within the U.S., and it somehow took 5 full days to arrive in Denver. That's way too long for a basic piece of mail in 2025. No weather issues, no holiday rush, no reason for such a delay. I paid for standard First-Class Mail, which is supposed to be delivered in 1-3 business days. This felt like snail mail at its slowest. Hell, they take 2 days for "priority." If you need anything to arrive on time, I'd strongly suggest looking at other options. This will be the last time I use their service. read more

This is actually one of the better locations in the East Valley! And, I do like how the entirety is set up. It's very user-friendly for the general public wether your looking to mail a package, gather the flat rates/packing items or get assistance in mailing/purchasing. This location is right down the road from work, so I've been here for both business & personal reasons. I can't say there is much to ding- the facility is very well kept & clean compared to others I've visited! All of their flat rate boxes, shipping labels, products & everything you need access to is very well organized & tidy. There isn't any confusion on what you are looking for when it comes to packaging supplies & materials. The self-processing label & mailing machine is just as you walk in, within easy access. There are plenty of counter spaces inside to allow numerous patrons to comfortably finish their packing & labeling, or check their own mail prior to leaving- pens are also offered (but not since COVID, and I'd still suggest bringing your own because the quality isn't promising with the usual provided). I've had to use the customer service counter a couple of times, and I was pretty surprised for being lunch hour, there wasn't too many people waiting in line, and there were 4 employees present to assist! So the wait time has consistently been less than 5 minutes in line, each visit. That is fantastic, especially when you're on a time crunch/break! The reason I knocked a star: the counter employees could be a teensy bit more accommodating & friendly. They never seem to be in a good mood whatsoever, & often are quit "short" with their responses & demeanor. It almost feels like you are bothering them when you aren't sure of something, have a question or are trying to correct a shipping label mistake, etc. The trip I made here for business purposes was to mail a letter to Canada. I've never mailed anything internationally before, but I knew the postage would be different, not sure of it at all- hence the reason I went to the counter for help with postage. The lady was very short with me, stating: "it costs more to mail to Canada." Yes, I know- that is the entire reason I'm at this counter- please let me know the cost so I can pay & mail it with the proper label/postmarks! Then s.l.o.w.l.y. explaining to me (in the demeanor you speak to a 5 year old child) that it "may take longer than 3-5 days since it has to travel a long ways away"... uhm, thanks? I'm aware of that, at least. The second encounter at the desk wasn't as ick as the first, but the guy was just short tempered. He looked & seemed like he wanted to retire 5 years ago. There was a mistake on my mailing label & I had to fill out a new one there at the counter- there were less than 3 others in line & 2 other employees at other windows- it wasn't a rush or swamped... but he acted like it was costing WAY too much time & pushed me off to the side to finish (literally the zip code) to help the next person & I could "be next when prepared to mail". Wow. Needless to say, I waited for the next available in lieu of going back to that one! I'm glad the other gal was quite a bit more polite & helpful. So, I definitely love this specific location just because of it's location, less anxious atmosphere & very well organized/maintained premises. It really is a breeze if you know what you want/need & just want to get the errand done! It's just the morale, attitude & demeanor with some of the desk reps needs some TLC. They clearly aren't loving their job & it gets taken out on the customers. But thank goodness for them, I now REALLY understand it costs more to mail something to Canada! Lol. read more

Very disappointed. My boyfriend went in almost 2 weeks ago to get a key for our mailbox that we have yet to receive. I went in for the second time today to check if it was ready yet and I was told that they don't own those mailboxes and they can't make a key for us. They said they would refund us the $40 we had already paid for it if we brought the receipt it but we were never given a receipt in the first place. I'm sure things are stressful with the holidays around the corner but how is it possible they could charge us for a key to a mailbox THEY DO NOT OWN. Completely unacceptable for this to have happened and now they got $40 from us for no service at all. read more

Not sure what you can say about a post office... I needed to mail a package on a Saturday, and looked up "post offices" on Yelp after taking a grad school exam. The directions were good and I found the place with no problem. This location, however, isn't open on Saturdays (the window). If you want to mail anything on Saturdays, you'll have to use the Automated Postal Center (APC) machine. This location is open only Monday through Friday. I don't live in Mesa, but judging from all the locals coming in asking what was wrong, I take it they're not used to this either. I stood in line a long time behind this lady who was mailing a litany of large envelopes...long enough to tell several people to read the hours posted on the outside doors. The post office is beside the Mesa airfield, and looks fairly new. I didn't have any issues other than expecting to be in/out and that wasn't the case. There's only one APC that I saw, so if there's one person with an armful of packages to mail, bring a book. read more

I called this location two days in a row (they did answer after several tries) and was taken care of by a very helpful and understanding man named Frank. I was having trouble locating a package with the 'tracking' service. They really need to do a better job of scanning packages as it appeared my package was accepted and hadn't moved in 8 days!!! I did send it parcel post (w/insurance) which I know is slow but it seemed weird that it would be in one spot for so long. I was freaking out a bit because the package was an expensive custom painting I did for someone. Anyways, Frank emailed the Phoenix PO hub and next thing I know...I'm getting an alert that the package is almost to its destination (Ohio)! Thanks for your help Frank. As for the USPS in general, do better please and scan/track packages in a timely manner. read more

This is by far the one of the worst post offices ever. Dec 24th one of their mail carriers was putting mail in the mailboxes as it was raining and cold out. I had on a pink sweatsuit. Remind you pink hoodies has PINK written across the sweatshirt. I greet the mailman hoping to get my packet he yells at me to check my mailbox and tells me that he can't just give 100 people off the street their packets. Remind you it's only him and I outside. Idk if it's because I'm a young black female he decides to be nasty too on Xmas EVE but I find it very unprofessional and inappropriate. So I email the usps office to file a report and the so called manager didn't say sorry but just says we'll have a talk with the employee for future situations. Okay cool. Whatever. So I brought items and remind you I track my items from apps and the places I brought it from. So tell me why I never received a key to the locker when my tracker app said it was delivered to a locker. I'm so happy that some places don't charge for restock charges because holding people Items is some BS. So now that the item Is out of stock I can't even purchase the item again. If you are a customer whose deliveries come through this PO and you need to report a problem, don't waste your time trying to telephone them. They let the phone ring endlessly and then someone walks over and picks up the handset and hangs it up. I've been there and witnessed it. If you keep calling, they adjust the phones so that you just get a busy signal. Go in person to complain. read more

I dont like to bash places like this but I'm sorry.. I tried to call this place three days in a row with the phone just ringing for 5 mins and no answer. I am not sure what the deal is with this location but they need to clean house and get new employees in this place. Then when I tried to talk to somoene about the issue he said that only one person in the whole building answers the phone, the other employees do if they want to but they don't. SMH not to mention I stood in line for 15 mintues because only one window was open, while the other guy took care of stuff that could have waited. read more

Yesterday, November 4th, we had a package delivered to our house. We are east of Recker Rd and south of Brown Rd. Our normal person to deliver is a women and she is wonderful! Absolutely love her. But, she was off yesterday and there was a man delivering in her place. I was in the back of my house with a friend when we heard a loud noise. I went to go check, mind you, I'm 61 feet from the front of my house and heard the loud noise. I saw him getting into his USPS vehicle and saw the package on my porch. He drove maybe 15 feet to our mailbox then. I asked him what I was suppose to do if any of the contents in the box was broken and he insisted that he set it down carefully. I told him that I heard it all the way to the back of my house, loudly. He continued to say he set it down gently and that he was sorry we were having a "misunderstanding". The package was set out by the fencing of my front porch, not by my door. I'm tired of lazy delivery people that don't want to spend the time to bring the packages to the door and set them down carefully. Again, our normal person is wonderful though. She is always so careful with our mail and our packages and a delight. read more

If you are using this post office to send out an important package that has to get somewhere fast, go elsewhere. I took a priority 2-day package in during service hours on Friday and it showed accepted late Monday night. I took another in early this morning, when they opened, and it still does not show as accepted 10 hours later. This time, I took the time to wait in line so I could hand it to a guy at the service counter...........makes no difference. The other package was supposed to be to the recipient by a particular date........it will be two days late now. The postage on these packages isn't cheap and you expect a certain level of service, but it is not there with the USPS........at least not at the Falcon Field location. May be a staffing problem because you rarely see more than a couple of people there. read more

Sorry for all the problems others have had but I've nothing but praise for the Post Office on Eagle Drive. True, they aren't open on Saturday but once use to that slight aggravation, I have found the wait period very short. Every time I've gone in to mail a package there has been at least two clerks, a lot of the time three. And, I've never been waited on by a grouchy clerk, they've all been kind, helpful and just plain courteous. read more

The employee that helped me was so rude. After waiting over 15 minutes to be helped by one of the two working tellers, I asked him if he could ensure it would be post marked for the date I brought it in. He rudely replied that there is a location in Phoenix that can mark the date. I asked if there was a location closer than Phoenix, and once again he rudely said "no, I just told you there is one location in Phoenix". I only wish I got his name to speak with a manger there, he had curly reddish hair and probably in his late 50s. Very poor experience for somebody that rarely goes to the post office just asking a simple question. Next time I will go elsewhere. read more

We are getting the neighbor's mail at least twice a week which we then deliver ourselves. We got no mail yesterday except the neighbors mail however around 7 at night I got my prescription medicine that was obviously sent to someones house and they got to deliver it to us. My husband went to the post office to complain because I am not making any progress by putting notes in my mailbox to the carrier but the manager wasn't there so little action could be taken.? I always receive packages for another street that has my same house number. I have never had such poor service. I am concerned that I won't get my bills on time let alone my mail order prescriptions. read more
