I have used this location multiple times and always had a great experience. Usually I do not find myself in a major line, but occasionally there will be one, though the pace moves well. Service has always been friendly as well! I have got some very fun stamps and they have I love utilizing the kiosk in the entryway where the PO boxes are for slightly quicker option if my item is simpler. I do find that the waiting area is not always fully stocked with the basic mailing labels, such as the ones they want you to put on the box,. They always give them to me at the counter, but would love to utilize my time in line to complete them or have them ready before going up! The staff here have the most experience of anyone in the region. They are accepting upwards of 5000 passport applications a year each . The problem is they are short staff and have to refuse more people than they can process. Management has cut their staff from 7 to 2 employees. Walk ins are accepted but limited day to day , hour to hour depending on staff and customers first come first serve . Don't come with a chip on your shoulder with entitlement. The USPS is self sufficient and doesn't use tax dollars. Make an appointment if you can . Hint : search by location not date . They are booked 27 days in advance. Looking any time sooner will make you frustrated. The USPS takes photos $15 and you can pay everything with a debit card with a pin# . All at once you don't need to bring a money order. I've always come here for passports Because staff is always very nice and efficient. I was almost ready to write a less than stellar review after dropping by a few times and always seeing the sign "can't take walk ins due to staffing"... and when I tried to book an appointment online, they were for after my travel date, which was a month and a half away when I first started this venture. Anyway, dropped in again, and sign was up, but it looked like the guy was working with his last customer before lunch. Another girl had just walked in ahead of me, with no paper work in her hands, and I figured she would be fast. She ended up needing a passport photo. So then it's my turn to "ask a question" and I mentioned my struggles to get an appointment -- he admitted it's been challenging for people to get them, then said "what do you have along?" -- I said, "everything I need", and he said, "okay, I have time for one more". Answered prayers! I was literally in line feeling stressed that a girl walking in, that I assumed would walk to the mail side, got in front of me -- then talked myself out of that negative thinking and asked the angles to please help me... glanced at the time and it was 1:11 pm -- angel number! Besides the staffing issues lately (minus one star) -- this location is the best for passports! Oh and I did have to pay extra for expedited, unfortunately. This postal office needs to be the target of DOGE. In the lobby there is a sign indicating the hours the Passport Services are open (T-S 10am-6pm) upon arriving I registered my name on a sheet to be called on for services in renewing my passport, had my ducks in a row, after waiting 30min the postal clerk (Bob) in charge displays a sign on the counter indicating " No Walk-In's Today", so what about the people that had put their name on the sign in sheet, we were then told that we would NOT be helped due to "Staff Shortages" SERIOUSLY!! So all the people that had been waiting for 60 minutes or better were NOT going to be helped? Bob (Federal Postal Employee) was verbally abusive and rude to all questions that were directed towards him on this policy. Bob is one of the 1st postal workers that needs to be FIRED and put out on the streets to find his home under a bridge. Absolutely a horribly run operation for a Postal Service. read more

Where can I even start. I needed to get a passport, and after looking online I saw that this location had walk-in hours from 10-5! I thought that was amazing because most other post offices have very limited hours. After scrolling through a few reviews I was a bit worried, but staying optimistic I got to the post office at 9:55 wanting to be early so there wasn't too many people there, but keeping in mind that there would be 7 hours of time to get my application in! I was sadly mistaken. After walking in and seeing a some people sitting down in the office and a few people in line to sign in I was very relieved with the thought that I would be more then able to get my passport. Bob made sure that wouldn't happen. While a kind lady before me in line was signing in Bob stormed over and flipped a sign saying that no more walk-in's would be accepted today. This was an extremely shocking thing to hear seeing as it was 10:15 and they advertised to be open until 5. The shock and horror on this lady's face was devastating to me. Bob was extremely disrespectful yelling that if we wanted to get a passport we should have came earlier while spit was flying out of his mouth towards us. I felt very unsafe and disrespected. I inquired as to when we would have been able to come in earlier because the time for walk-in passports had just begun. If I could give 0 stars I would. Went to this post office on Lindsay and University and was helped by employee #04 this lady does not talk to people she yells at them! As I was in line I watched her yell at this poor older man instructed him to fill out a form and then get bk in line. I prayed I wouldn't get her but I did. Needless to say she yelled at me and if I didn't need my package there by the 22nd I would have had A LOT to say to this miserable old employee who looks like she's worked there for many years and is just a miserable person. There are NEVER enough clerks in this huge post office. Bob, a service clerk, is very argumentative, boasts an "I know it all" attitude even how the customer wants to use their credit/debit card! I really wish there was a 0 star option. Was directed to this location from my local post office since I was told they offer walk-ins for passport renewal. Only 2 employees working, one of them was busy texting on her phone so really only 1. When I approached the texting warrior I said "I have a quick question" and was responded to with "how quick". She must've just had to respond to a tough text, so maybe thats the answer for the unnecessary disrespect. Who knows? The clerks at USPS 325 S Lindsay Rd Mesa, AZ 85204 are just mean. As soon as they look up, they looked at me like I was disturbing them. When I asked a question, they started complaining about how understaffed and overworked they are and have no time at all to help. All i wanted to ask was more information on how to get in for a passport. Just the thought of walking into a USPS facility gives me anxiety due to how rude many of the employees are, but these people at this facility was EXTRA rude. I went inside and there was no one to be found. Even called both phone numbers and no one answered. What would you schedule appointments you can't service people for? Bob in the passport office is a complete ass. Gave us attitude as soon as we walked in for having one extra person with us. The lobby was empty. My husband has his photo ID which is valid in the state of Arizona and he told us we couldn't use it because my husband had gained weight. Which according to the passport website is not a factor in identification. I will be filing a formal complaint with the post office. This Post Office location is pretty much the same as all of the other ones in the area, with mailboxes in a drive thru area out front, and an interior service desk that has four to five people working. It appears that the post office box area has been closed off, and is under renovation because it is currently not accessible. The building and grounds looked reasonably well maintained and the parking lot was in good condition. I had no problem getting in or out on Monday morning. It offers all of the regular services that post office locations offer, including expedited mail services, stamp purchasing, and possibly passport service. Because it is under construction I would check to be sure what services they offer. Plus, if this location does not have what you want, there is another full service location less than a mile away on the corner of Lindsay and University. read more

This post office is nearest my home, so it's the one I use consistently. I am always amazed at how friendly the staff is considering how rude many of the customers are. During the winter, this location gets a lot of winter visitors and most of the time, only one or two windows are open. They do their best in spite of being understaffed. There is also a new area where you can order your passport and get photos. They were extremely friendly over there, too. read more

If I had the option I'd go anywhere else. But unfortunately with government issued passports, you don't really get a choice. The workers here have bad attitudes and they don't seem to care about their jobs in the slightest. I'm not sure if COVID has restricted the amount of employees on sight or not, but regardless, 1 person all day to handle walk ins? Really? Makes me curious where my tax dollars are really going because it's not going here... they can't be that worried about COVID regulations because everyone in here is cheek to cheek with each-other and they seem to have no problem with it, neither do I, but if you can let that happen, you can surely let more than one employee handle walk ins. read more

Impossible!! Not Only is it impossible to gather any information when your package is lost that they claim to have delivered. Calling the local office is non-existent during the month of December and actually speaking to a human. I Swear I'm being held captive by poor service and lack of options. This post office provides the worst customer service! I know that's not saying much for any government run organization, but honestly...I thought postal workers had to pass a test or something in order to qualify...Basic Listening Skill trainings need to be implemented immediately! I recently moved and submitted my change of address. I have been in my home for a little over 3 weeks and I have yet to receive 1 piece of mail. I called in to figure out where my mail is and the lady who answered the phone (after a wait time of 30 minutes) says, "oh that house is vacant" Um...how can that be if I'm calling about my mail not arriving...wouldn't that mean I'm living there now? "Oh, well you will need to find out where your mail is being sent." Uh, yeah, that's why I'm calling the POST OFFICE - It's not like my mail is being sent to another location as this is the main post office for my area, and it's not like the loan documents have the wrong address...they want me to come into the location - which conveniently closes before I get off work and fix the problem. I just hope when I come in I can get it all straightened out... Where is my freedom to choose my own post office location? I hate government workers...no offense to the competent ones, but you have to realize you are the minority... read more

Like another postal office sent us there saying "oh they close at 6, you guys will make it" we got there and there was one lady helping another costumer, and since we got there.. she was so rude.. we waited and she said "you guys got an appointment?" and I explained everything and she answered "we told all 10th times the other post offices that we ONLY do appointment" and I just said oh well I am sorry, they sent us here. I cannot help you, you have to leave. I am like, okay? can you explain me at least how to do the appointment or just tell me if what I have are all the correct papers? and she didn't answer at all. another guy that worked there, (a bold one) I came up to him and I said excuse me sir, just got couple questions can you help me? and he NEVER looked at me, told me how much the passport was and there was "another fees" involved with it, so I asked what were those or at least how much? and he said IDK I would have to check once you are here with your appointment.. I left with no clue, and sad.. like if you are working on costumer service you try to do your best when people have questions.. and this is not the first time these two people working there do that.. even the other costumer that was there on her appointment and looked at me like "sorry".. they should not be working there or at least try to be nicer next time. read more

This place is horrible! I get boxes of broken glass sent to me when the sender asures me that it was a solid piece of glass at one time. I get a new mail carrier every week so its impossible to leave specific instructions. And get this, they actually hired someone afraid of dogs. So for a week i did not get any mail because the dogs would bark threw a fence that was 30ft away. I would assume thats part of the application process. Throughout history of mailman they have always had an issue with dogs. If only they would treat this like a government job. read more
