Had l four large boxes with prepaid return labels containing Kitchen island pendant lights we decided did not work for our soon to be Chiefs Kitchen. They were being returned to Bed & Bath. Had lots of errands to run so found a post office that was on my route. This one was not busy, it was clean and it had self-service for packages. Parking can be a little tricky as there's limited parking, but since it wasn't busy, I didn't have a problem. read more

So sad the USPS has horrible customers service. They get one star because you are forced to give at least one on this platform. They waste your time while inquiring as to why they missed the delivery they stated on the tracking of the USPS by days. If you complain they will refuse to deliver package and say you must pick up in person. Pick up in person was not the delivery option that was paid for. By the way it is illegal for them to refuse to make delivery. Specifically this for the USPS in Gilbert. read more

Mary was very rude when I was already having an awful day when I accidentally hit a wrong button on the machine. She proceeded to say "you didn't listen did you?"- When I gave her neutral feedback on the machine, after she asked, she acted surprised and then was very aggressive and stated thanks for your gracious feedback. I explained I was having a bad day and she was being rude. I never come into the post office and I will not be going back, after my run in with her. She needs customer service coaching. read more

Horrible service. Lady with gray hair in the middle station likes to argue. So unnecessary! Don't use the online address change service. Its a scam. Tries to sell you a bunch of services then charges you 1.25$ just to send you an email to go into the post office to confirm your identity and address change. If anyone at my apartment complex has unsent or missing mail, leave it to this post office. I post this because this is the type of office this is. They lost $400 in collectibles in a small box to me earlier this year and never admitted the wrongdoing of delivering it to a house when I live in an apartment complex with yep an easily accessible Amazon locker and post office lockers. Here is a picture from today, during Christmas season when they have just I guess forgotten peoples mail on the ground next to the mail boxes. He was prompt and courteous, even pointing out that we can scan bar codes at the self service machine. Never did I think I would be writing a yelp review about the Post Office. Went in this morning to have a couple holiday cards weighed because they seemed bulky. As I waited in line, an employee was helping the customer in front of me and answering their questions about international parcels. The guy behind me actually commented that he seemed like "the nicest guy ever". Well, I got to go to George's window as well, and am here to verify that he really is the nicest guy ever and also, bulky holiday cards require an additional 24 cents of postage. I come here because it's convenient but no more. I always feel like I'm on trial when shipping items or that I'm an inconvenience. Today I bought a box and bubble wrap and went to my car to box things up with MY TAPE I keep in there. I wasn't sure where to affix the label so I brought MY TAPE from MY CAR into the post office to get guidance. I'm questioned on if I bought it there, which I understand but it seemed like I wasn't believed. It had obviously been used previously and that was the end of it. Then, some idiot standing in line offers "to take her into the back and interrogate her." I don't care if he was trying to be funny, but that made me mad and a bit scared. It was none of his business and I felt like the postal clerk was making light if it. I'll never come back here as I don't feel safe and I will discourage everyone I can from going here. read more

Just called the Val Vista office because a package had the address transposed. She went above and beyond to try and get the package to us. Even called me back with an update. In the end it had already been returned to sender but i really appreciated getting someone on the phone that cared enough to try and make it right. I typically don't wright bad reviews and I figures that usps was going to be the first. That was my initial thoughts until I had a package go missing, This package was extremely important to me and could not be replaced and once I realized it was missing I was red eyed with anger at the post office. My anger led to a missing package report which I figured was going to take many days if not weeks since its a weekend. I submitted a missing package report and within MINUTES Prisicilla J. Had received my request and got to work immediately! Within Minutes of my submission I was getting a phone call... Likely scam, I figured id answer. IT WAS PRISICILLA !!!!! Right into the phone call she got straight into things about my pack and what had happened, making me feel super confident and sure my package had not been lost. Not only was she quick to act but my package that should have came on Thursday had now made it to me by saturday ONLY because prisicilla had taken matters into her own hands to take care of me! MY PACKAGE CAME and I couldnt be more happy. USPS always gets a bad wrap for being a faceless dull place to deal with but my eyes have been opened to the amount of attention and care going into each and every package!!!! THANK YOU USPS and a Massive Thank You to Prisicilla J for the help and solution into getting my package delivered! Gail, the manager isn't doing her job. I called a week ago because my mail is not being forward from 2 different addresses. She said she would look into it and I called today, a week later. The man answered the phone and said she was standing behind him. Next thing I know he is taking my name and number for her to call me back. Still nothing. Lady this is your job and my mail. I specially drive out of my way, past a closer location, just to come to this Post Office every single time! I mail many packages on a weekly basis and I have never had anything but great experiences here. I usually visit towards the end of the day which is always chaotically busy. The line always goes fast so I don't mind but most importantly, everyone who works there is extremely patient and kind. Which I feel cannot be easy when I constantly hear frustrated customers coming their way. My packages always arrive where they are supposed to in a timely manner (as much as weather/holidays allow). Many times, they ask how I am doing, how has my day been or have remembered me!! This is such a nice feeling when you are stressed at the end of the day. It's funny how people are so impatient and ridiculous on this yelp crap. These workers are part of an organization that we all don't approve of or are happy with. But all the workers at this location have always been polite fast as they can to help the next person in line and sometimes yes, sometimes the lines are a little thick, and we all get a little grumpy about how fast people move. If you really want to see trouble with processing at a register or a line moving slow go to any place in Gilbert. As of lately it's overpopulated and over saturated with a lot of morons in line as well as some people that take care of customers. Get over it people. Post Office + holidays = very daunting task. I arrived shortly after 4:30 pm, knowing fully well I was running short on time. The parking lot was a cluster .... and I had to park on the street. Typically the parking lot may not be too much of an issue but it was packed and no one has the patience to deal with parking lot messes at this time of the year. Now, I wouldn't normally write a review on the Post Office but when I noticed the 2 star status and after my experience I felt I should. They definitely had it adequately staffed and upon walking in, the first employee asked whether I was picking up or sending out and proceeded to assist me in determining whether the box I had chosen was the right box. She also provided me with the correct label for my priority overnight delivery. I don't think there is too much to say apart from the fact they got us all helped out within a reasonable amount of time. I believe I was actually there less than a half an hour which was surprising given the size of the line. The staff was all very friendly and they were all doing an outstanding job of trying to help whoever they could as quickly as they could. I greatly appreciate USPS for the job they do and the possibility of frustrated customers. I will most likely be back to a post office at some point although a gentleman informed me that I can actually have my packages shipped directly from my home. So, that may actually be something I look into at a later time. read more

This is the second time that we had this lady come to our house to delivery the mail and she thrown it on the ground as garbage having almost breaking the things that we're paying for! Not just that but she also leaves our mail in the wrong mail boxes so some of our neighbors bring it to our house. Unfortunately yelp doesn't let me attach the video. read more

This Post Office, in Downtown Chandler, is well-run, but like many Post Offices, sometimes busy, and other times quite busy. A couple of their staff are good at what they do, while the others are quite good at what they do. If you have a choice of which office to visit, this one has the added benefit of a shade tree at the south end of their parking area, for those warm summer afternoons. read more

Seemed a little busy when I arrived about 3:30 PM. Went to get in line and an male employee came out from behind the closed door addressing everyone with bulk packages -what they could do with them as another options instead of standing in line. He told me I should go over to the automated system to weigh, print label, ship & pay for my two packages. I had never used this system nor did he offer any assistance. I had a little trouble & I had to ask for help from another customer walking by. Thank goodness she knew how to use it, was so patient & kind walking me through the steps. By the time I completed this process; honestly, I would have been done in line a lot quicker! In the meantime this same man came out several more time yelling at customers who were dropping off packages and putting the items in the drop box. He was telling them- they better have them addressed appropriately and labeled a certain way or they wouldn't be accepted. It seemed to me these customers were regulars dropping off business packaging in bulk and this mail person seemed clearly agitated with the amount of traffic coming through the doors! Found this a little abrupt & rude. There are better ways to filter customers "in and out" and if he would have been "hands on & helpful" it would have made for a more suitable experience. I get that the post office is busy, but there is NO need to have an unprofessional postal person.. read more

My husband took two packages to this post office on Saturday 1/28 at 11:00 am to be mailed to South Carolina. The employee who waited on him (Clerk #6 that day) was so friendly and helpful. He told my husband the packages would arrive by Wednesday 2/1. We just got off the phone with our son, he received those packages today. It's Monday 1/30! Every time I have an Amazon package go through these guys it never goes well. The last two times I needed to have something delivered they failed to do so and then I needed to go into their facility to pick up the package. Both times I waited in line for over an hour to get t my package. Never expect anything government run agency to do anything correctly and make sure you schedule an hour to your time minimum if you're going here. read more

This post office has clerks that are looking to do the right thing for It's customers. It's a shame that their supervisor Chris Bethel is your stereotypical postal worker. Who is more interested arguing about customer service than actually providing it. I had an issue with a package that was returned as non deliverable address and the clerk referred me to the supervisor to see what could be done to resolve it. I was calm and hopeful that they would do the right thing and either not make me pay again for shipping the same package, or at least provide some discount if I do have to pay again. That's when Mr. Bethel comes in and raised my blood pressure in less than 2 minutes, he begins speaking down to me. Explaining simple things like writing the correct address on packages (what a concept). I'm not bothered by the fact that I had to re-pay to ship the package again. I was however extremely bothered by the condescending tone that he spoke to me with. Shame on him. I've been in sales my entire professional career and I am a firm believer that you can't always do what the customer wants, but you can at least communicate that in a kind, respectful manner. Customers may not be happy with the results of interactions with a supervisor, but at minimum customers should not feel personally insulted by an employees lack of communication skills. But hey if you have no people skills and you last long enough at the USPS, you can always be promoted to supervisor. I gave them 2 stars just because AJ the clerk was cool about the whole thing and apologized for not being able to resolve the issue for me. read more

Diana you should be ashamed of yourself! My family and I make Happy Bracelets for children in need of a smile. We teamed up with the Boys & Girls club to make 475 Happy Bracelets for the children in Puerto Rico that was affected by the hurricanes. We wanted to send the Bracelets off for Christmas. We went to the post office on December 23rd to send off the packages. The clerk was very helpful... she even came from behind the desk to help us with the different box options. We sent sent 2 packages off with no problem. On December 24th 1 of our packages was left on our doorstep. It was clearly a mistake because everything was filled out correctly. We tracked the other package and it was processed. Today, December 26th my mother went to the post office to find out why our package was delivered to us. The clerk in line said it was their mistake, "Let me get a supervisor ". A woman named Diana came out and she said, "I don't see why it went to your address but I can resend it". My mom asked if the post office could overnight the package because it was clearly their mistake. Diana said there was nothing she could do about it. My mom asked another clerk if they could ask Diana could she override it. The clerk came back and said, "she said NO!". Diana, these children lost everything! These Happy Bracelets are probably the only gift they will receive for Christmas. Where is your sympathy? You didn't apologize for the mistake you didn't try to make it right. Your attitude is unbelievable! Any person with a heart would have did everything in there power to fix this problem. You could have sent the package overnight but you chose not to. We pray that you get a new job. read more

I find that the smaller town Post Office stores are so much more friendly and helpful than the big cities...and this is a great little store, usually I'm mailing stuff here the day after Christmas, and they are a bit busy but they have all I need. There is a person before the line to ask advice and she helps nicely, which is unheard of in a big city! I forgot my wallet in the car and they let me run while they were processing the materials with several people in line probably cursing me, but it didn't hold anything up. read more
