They never answer their phone and eventually it will go to voicemail and for over 2 years it says the voicemail box is full and you cannot leave a message but even if you left a message it's doubtful it would be returned. I was told that IT Department was working on it but it still says the same thing that it did 2 years ago. Also, the post office on Broadway rarely answers their phone. You would think that this being the main branch in Mesa, that it would be packed with people all the time. This location is just around the corner from my office, close enough that we walk on our brakes to get stuff done here. There's never a huge crowd, except maybe at Christmas. It's a really large building and they've got a variety of gift cards you can buy, as well as greeting cards. This place has been a real lifesaver when I'm desperate for a gift in the middle of a work day, because there's no place close by to get a gift. I love using the self serve kiosk but needed to ship an international order this time. I will say Patricha is the least friendliest robotic personality there is. Im used to saying first class and shes like its ground advantage there is more first class. Sorry! I was like thats weird they kept it as first class for international and her response was "international is different and they have first class". Then something new is verifying the name. She had it spelt wrong so I just said the "u" is supposed to be an "o". Patrichia said it looks like a U. It was such an awkward transaction. Least friendliest window clerks here. Not really sure why but the woman was very aggressive and rude to me after waiting in line to pick up post office box keys. She was kind to the people she helped before me. I handed her the documents that online said were required and without even looking at them told me very coarsely that I can not open a post office box without a physical address in Arizona and then she basically told me to just have my mail sent to my In Laws house without being very helpful. It was some of the most off putting passive aggressive "service" I have ever received. Lady if you don't want my business at least be a grown up and say it to my face. During this transaction, in which she was the only person helping customers. Another Usps worker came up and leaned and just stared at everyone. Honestly it's a blessing she wouldn't help me properly because I do not want to return to this Post Office. read more

I live within this office's delivery area, and used to order Amazon pretty regularly. I live in an apartment in a fairly large complex. Any Amazon package coming from USPS has a 50/50 chance of simply not arriving, and then one of their stupid notes is stuck to my mailbox (at the main office) - claiming that delivery was attempted. I work from home with my home-office window right next to my front door; so I can say with certainty that they are simply not attempting delivery at all. They won't leave my package in the parcel box. They simply leave the note and put it on me to either reschedule or come pick it up. I've come to wonder if these worthless drivers even have my delivery in the truck with them! I've begun ordering mostly from WalMart, simply to avoid this recurring frustration. The Post Office has ONE job, and this location fails miserably at performing it. The worst... The absolute worst. read more

As I was waiting in line, I observed a couple of customers angrily snapped at one of the clerks. Happy Holidays ladies! There you are trying to mail your gift packages pretending to be a good girl and then treating the employees like crap. Keep it classy! Naughty behavior won't get you karmic points from Santa! Do you get my drift? Their manners almost destroyed the positive atmosphere. Glad it didn't affect my energy, thanks to the lovely musicians playing in the background. This place is the worst when it comes to delivery packages, especially if you're living in an apartment! They ABSOLUTELY refuse to deliver and would create lies on why they couldn't deliver i.e., awkward address- return to sender (lies- nothing is awkward about my address and I never have problems receiving packages with any other carrier- amazon, Fedex, UPS). Or "attempted to deliver" when I've been at home the entire day waiting on the package and never received it. The supervisor is also a bullshitter, his name is Dustin. If you live in an apartment, always expect for them to be rude and not even try to deliver your package, put it in a locker, or even find it if it goes missing. Ive had a mail lady yell at me to not come 15 feet near her while she was delivering a package. Getting false delivery has happen several times already, but today was a different story. I received a code for my package and the box in the locker wasn't even mine!! I checked my tracking number and of course they said they attempted to deliver, but this time they didn't even leave a note on my door. Luckily that package didn't go to a thief. Some people take days off of work to wait for these IMPORTANT packages. I already reported this incident to USPS OIG and i really hope the mail lady gets laid off or AT LEAST a fine for putting someone else's mail in my mailbox. I swear I could single handedly keep USPS in business. I do a ton of shipping with them and of course, like every other American, receive mail by them 6 days a week. They've always been great to me. Extremely slow and not kind at all. Barely helpful. Have been here multiple times and always dissatisfied :( I am always told to get back in line (address written incorrectly, tape is wrong, etc). If you need to mail something, I would highly recommend using this location. They have a mailing kiosk where you can process your package yourself and not have to wait in line to speak to an employee. I went at noon and walked right up to the machine. I was in and out before I could complete my Yelp check-in. The only issue with this location is the access. It's in a neighborhood so you have pedestrians and slow changing lights to contend with. I will definitely be returning to this location for all future USPS needs I have. read more

Yes,big surprise by my 5-star rating. This is not a typo ;) I was there last Friday late morning enroute to the Mesa Convention Center to attend a scrapbooking event. I had wanted to purchase the Limited Edition Christmas Peanuts/Charlie Brown stamps since its reveal last Christmas, but I didn't have a chance to stop by the P.O. near me last December and kept hoping other merchants would sell, to make it easier to acquire but nonetheless, they never had them (just "the Flag" ones). Lo & behold, this station happened to have some left in their drawer so I became a happy camper. I got good service from the clerk on duty, Teddi, who actually smiled while she was tending to me. It was also not very busy (probably because of the location and off-season) so there was no line and I noticed the other clerks did move a bit quickly and smiled, as well. Maybe next time I need stamps or need something shipped, I'll be back at this location rather then the other so-so Phoenix locations- and hope Teddi would be working at the hour! read more

This Post Office is terrible. The delivery man had illegible hand writing on my missed delivery notice, the manager I spoke to on the phone was not helpful. WHY did I even pay for expedited shipping when I have to pick the damn thing up myself if I want it any time soon???? DO they even deliver any packages successfully if they deliver during working hours, who the hell is home to sign for these things????? And expecting me to wait around all day on a Saturday to sign for something I need today (Friday). Nope. I don't think so!
