She told me I would have to wait 3 hours for my order--before she even knew what my order was! Told me they didn't have the right color paper I wanted, but when I asked her to look for it, funny thing, it was right there. When I asked her if I could do the copying myself, she said, sure, but I have to charge you (A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY) just for the paper and then you pay for the copies. I told her this was not what I used to get at Kinkos. She said, this isn't Kinkos anymore. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. I said, I'm about to do that, because it doesn't even seem like Fedex any more. So I left and went down the street to Staples, where funny thing--the woman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. She was able to do the job fairly quickly. They had all kinds of color paper choices available, that didn't cost extra. And guess what--she got the job done very quickly AT ABOUT 25% OF WHAT FEDEX WANTED TO CHARGE! My advice: Absolutely positively avoid this Fedex office like the plague. Drive the 2 blocks south and let the nice folks at Staples take care of you properly instead. p.s. I have noticed an odd, but persistent pattern, wherever I go. UPS is routinely terrible at…read moredelivering packages (and stores them in highly inconvenient locations when it makes me pick them up) but FedEx is routinely terrible at letting me send them (and seems staffed by mysteriously unhelpful people). In an ideal world I would receive everything by FedEx, and send everything by UPS. When I sent packages to myself, they would be inter-lined. The FedEx at Tressider continues the pattern. I walked in with a heavy box of books only to learn that they "don't do" FedEx ground. That is, they will let you drop off a ground package, but they won't print or sell you a ground label, only an air label. Why, was not explained. I was sent to a nearby computer lab where I managed to create a label but proved unable to print it (thanks, Stanford computing!), and ultimately had to give up and take my package to the post office, where I paid twice as much to somebody who was at least happy to take my money and my package. And thanks to all of the running around, I nearly missed my flight.
